Chapter 36

LUTHER'S POV

I see a woman being forcefully escorted out of the house, as I got closer she looked slightly familiar

"Who is this?" The guards stop and bows

Leo answers "Violet ask us to escort her out of the house sir, she was causing a commotion"

The woman yells "What? Do you know who I am!"

I scoff "You are Mrs Harrison?"

"Yes, I am".

I glare at her "You better not have touched a hair on Violet's face or else". She gulps 

Leo speaks up" Actually sir, she slapped her twice".

I clench my fist and walked closer to her, the guards leave her "You better not come any closer". She said terrified

" You slapped my wife" she falls to the ground and uses her purse as a shield "I ought to do the same to you!" I raise my hand and suddenly Leo grabs it 

"Sir, don't". I forcefully let go and walk away

I enter the house in a hurry and I see Violet with an ice pack on her face, I rush to her
"Are you okay?"

She smiles "Yes I am".

I get angry "Why would you lie to me?".

"What do you mean?". She asked with a worried expression.

"You have a fucking ice pack on your face Violet, when will you stop letting people walk over you".

" I didn't-"

"Save it, this is exactly what put you in this situation in the first place, you are just too naive, you can't stand up for yourself you wait for others to do so for you!" Violet gets upset, and I immediately regret the words that came out of my mouth "Vio-" she walks away, and Amanda gives me a look following Violet from behind. I put my hand on my head "What the fuck is wrong with me".










                       JESSE'S POV

My mother stopped by the office and has been crying non-stop, she nearly finished a box of tissue paper.

I let out a sigh "Can you tell me exactly what happened now?".

She blows her nose into another tissue "I went to Violet's place, and I just wanted to give her a little warning, so she'll behave and then she made them drag me out and her fiance he, well, he hit me"

"What!" I exclaimed, he touched you? 

"Yes...he did". My mother continues crying

" That lunatic, I ought to teach him a lesson". I clench my fist







                       VIOLETS POV


I was sited straight on my bed"I can't defend myself?". I aggressively take a bite of my apple "I wait for others to do that for me?".

Amanda speaks up with a nagging tone "I'm telling you, ma'am, you should call off the engagement, it's obvious he's not the one for you, two strikes already?".

"It's not like he even did anything.... I'm so angry right now I feel like I could explode!".

Amanda places her hand on my head " No kidding, you are burning up, I think you might have a fever......that makes three strikes, call off the wedding".

I hug my pillow "it's so unfair". Suddenly I hear a slight knock on the door 

Amanda asks "Who is it?".

Luther responds "It's Luther"

I give Amanda the tell him I'm asleep look "Violet is asleep".

" I know she isn't ". He responds

My eyes widen "How do you know that?". Amanda asked with a nervous tone 

" Because if she was you wouldn't be in her room, also the door is slightly open I can see you both".

Amanda and I gasp "Pervert!". I exclaimed

He opens the, I lay on my bed and use the duvet to cover my face "Violet, I was out of line and I'm very sorry, please forgive me". I don't say anything "I am such a jerk, I shouldn't have said that, I regret it". I still don't say anything, he sits on the bed and uses his hand to take off the duvet "Violet, talk to me, please?".

I sit up straight " What you said hurt me".

"I know, I'm sorry".

"I did defend myself, you weren't there".

Amanda speaks up "Is true, she was amazing".

Luther sighs " I'm such an idiot". He uses his hand to mess up my hair "Good job kiddo". I slap his hand 

" Stop that, I'm not a baby". He laughs

"Of course not, but you're going to be my baby". My heart suddenly skips a beat and I  felt a strange heat, I use my hand to fan myself 

" Are you okay?". Luther asked worriedly 

"I'm fine".

" You sure? you're all red". My eyes widen 

Amanda speaks up "Violet might have a fever".

Luther suddenly places his hand on my forehead, he gasps "Is true, your body is hot".

" No no, I'm fine, no fever, I just need rest, yes, I just need to rest.......so please get out, both of you".

"Are you sure? I can bring you meds and-". I cut him off

" No thank you, just leave". 

"Okay then, if you need anything, just call". I hear the door open and close

I let out a sigh and hold my chest, what's happening to me?, why do I feel this way?. Don't you dare fall for him, it's all pretend, none of it is real, is better we know this so we won't get our heart broken. 








                   LUTHER'S POV.

Amanda and I go downstairs together 

"So it's gonna be a small wedding?" She asked curiously

"Yes, the idea is a good one, just close friends and families and the press".

She nods "ah I see...it makes sense".

" Yea, I already called the wedding planner and things are looking good so far".

Leo instantly approaches me " Sir there's a serious problem".

"What's wrong?".

We all go outside, to my surprise I see Jesse with some police officers 

What is this bastard up to now? " What the hell is going on here?".

He points at me "Arrest him now, he assaulted my mother".

" What!" I exclaimed

He wears a stupid smirk on his face.
