Chapter 32

LUTHER'S POV

"Get out of my house!" A woman screams as she throws things at us. 

Violet was on her knees in tears, begging and asking for her forgiveness, I was next to her as well, Except I wasn't on my knees, I was covering her, protecting her from the things the woman keeps throwing. 

"Enough!" I yelled at her "Don't you think you're taking things too far? Violet wasn't the one who killed your husband, why is she getting punished for it". 

"Why did she offer him a job in the first place? Why did she let him save her! He has a wife, he has children! Two years later you walk into my life like nothing happened and you're asking for forgiveness?, Go to hell!". 

I clench my fist, Violet just keeps saying I'm sorry, the fact she's taking this hurts me, I hate seeing her this way." Violet never asked him to do so, the job was to take him out of the street, would you have liked it if your husband died a criminal?" she doesn't say anything, I let out a sigh "You aren't the only one who lost someone, Violet lost everything as well, for two years now she's been in a coma, please, I know it isn't easy but find it in your heart to forgive". 

The woman burst into tears "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it's just, things have been so hard ever since, Jack was excited when you gave him that job, he called you an angel, he really adored you, when I heard you both died I resented you, called you a devil when I later heard you survived I resented you even more". 

Violet bows on her knees "Forgive me, it's my fault". 

The woman shakes her head "No, it's mine, I always pressured him, called him names, because we bearly had enough, when he lost his job I'm sure he got scared telling me that's why he attempted robbery, I'm a terrible person". She breaks down, I walk up to her and embrace her

"He's in a better place now, he did an honourable thing, and he is getting rewarded for it, we have something for you". We separate, and she uses her hand to dry her tears. I bring out an envelope "This is a sponsorship, it's going to get your kids through school to college, also a bank book, the money in it is yours, please accept this, we want you to live a comfortable life, is the least we can do for what your husband did if you ever need anything, anything at all, please don't hesitate to call, a business card is there". She uses my shaky hands to take the envelope from me, she opens it and her eyes widen, she instantly gets down 

"Oh thank you, thank you so much, am I dreaming? is this really happening?". 

I smile at her "This isn't my doing, Violet is the one you should thank". 

The woman walks up to Violet who was still on her knees, she helps her up and gives her a hug. "Thank you, Thank you so much, thank you". 

Violet sobs "You shouldn't say that, I would do anything for you, I'm really sorry for everything". 

I smile at the sight of them, at least this would ease Violet's pain. 

As soon as we were done we drive home. 

"What a morning". I groan as I stretch on the couch 

Violet takes a sit, Amanda walks toward us 

"Ah lady Violet, you're back" I clear my throat to get her attention "oh Mr Benjamin-Kim, would you guys like anything? you guys left so early this morning". 

"Yea that's because we had somewhere important to go, You can assist Violet in getting to her room, she needs to rest, she slept late last night because we stayed at my place for a while". 

Violet speaks up "I'm okay, I promise". 

"Are you sure?". I ask worried 

She smiles "Yes I am". 

"Lady Violet before I forget, you have an appointment soon, your wedding dress". 

My eyes widen 

Violet replies sheepishly "Oh, yea, that's right, I'll go get ready, let me change real quick". Leo quickly rushes to Violet and assists her, she thanks him and he escorts her to her room. 

Amanda smiles at me "You must be excited, you're getting married to a very lovely lady" 

I grind "I know, almost feels like a dream".

"Well, I hope everything goes smoothly, you're one lucky fella" she laughs 

I wear a weird smile

I get a call from Lana, I walk to the backyard and pick it up

"Yea, everything okay?" I ask concerned because Lana hardly calls me 

She replies with a funny tone _"Why do you love her?". 

I put my hand on my forehand "For fuck sake Lana it's 11 am why are you fucking drunk!". 

She hiccups_"I am not drunk, I am just a little tipsy". 

"Are you at home?". 

_"She's in a bar!" I hear a man yell

"Stay where you are, I'm coming!" I end the call

I run back to the house, I take the car key from a shelf. I see Amanda "Please tell Violet I had an emergency, I will be back soon, and I'm taking the other car". I rush out. 

I arrive at the bar, it's a mini one, the inside is dark, only red Led light, I see Lana sited with her head on the table she was smiling and chewing her hair, yup she's wasted. 

I walk up to her "Really? is this necessary? Is this how you're going to raise our daughter" 

She instantly sits up "Hey!" she yells "This isn't about our daughter okay?" 

"let's just get you home". I reach out to help but she slaps my hands

"No! Don't touch me". 

I grunt "I don't have time for this Lana, let's go"

"No! You did this to me okay?" she suddenly grabs me by the collar, and she hiccups "You are a jerk" 

"I know" she suddenly surprises me with a kiss, I push her away "What the fuck, why would you-" my eyes catch a guy on a mask with a camera, without thinking twice I run after him 





                 VIOLET'S POV

"How do I look?" I ask sheepishly

Amanda gasps "You look beautiful".

"I don't like it". Lexi Boiler said rather blunt, I hear the annoying sound of the gum she's chewing 

I let out a sigh. Funny how we bumped into her on our way here and when I told her I was picking out a dress for my wedding she didn't hesitate to tag along like she doesn't have better things to do. 

I go back in the changer "Can I try another one?". I ask the girls helping me change

"Of course". They responded with a forced exciting tone 

After trying more than twenty dresses, I finally got the one they both agreed they liked. 

"You are going to look gorgeous, Luther wouldn't be able to get his eyes off you". Amanda said excitedly as we walked to the car. 

"Okay I'll see you guys around".Lexi walks away before I could even thank her

"What's with her?"Amanda asks with a bit of annoyance in her tone "she's like a total snub".

"Well, she still helped so". I wonder what her deal really is? Or maybe she just wants to be friends? 

"Ready ma'am?" Leo ask 

"Yes I am, let's go home". I was about to enter the car when I hear a familiar voice yell

"Stop him!". I suddenly hear Amanda scream

Leo and Alvin stand in front of me with their hands touching me 

Before I knew it I hear Kat tackling someone to the ground. 

Good, you got him" Luther said out of breathing
