Chapter 49

VIOLET'S POV

We left the office by 6 pm, the minute I got home I felt extremely tired.

I fall on the bed, today wasn't so bad. I wonder what Mr Victor was referring to, I don't recall my father ever giving me something like that, the only thing my father gave me that was precious was my mother's necklace. 

I hear the door open follow by footsteps, it's definitely Luther.

He falls on the bed and groans "I'm exhausted".

" You did well today".

He whines "Do we have to go again tomorrow?".

" Of course". I feel Luther's head on my lap, I sit up straight "What are you doing?". 

"This is the part were you pamper your husband".

I scoffed "You better take your head off my lap".

"Do you want me to call Amanda?". 

My eyes widen "You..." I sigh "Okay fine". I carefully locate his head with my hands, and brush his hair with my fingers gently "You did good". I whispered awkwardly

He groans "This is nice". Luther's hair is really soft

" Luther?".

"Yea?".

" What's the colour of your hair".

I hear him chuckle a little bit "Why do you want to know that?".

I shrug " I just want to".

"Would you believe me if I told you my hair was red?".

I laugh " Who are you trying to fool?"

"Definitely not you".I playfully hit him

" That's it, I'm done pampering you".

He gets off me "No wonder Jesse brought Benita".

" I would use my staff to hit your head".I threatened

He laughs "I'm kidding okay?". I clear my throat 

" I knew that".

"By the way, can we get rid of Leo?."

I ask curiously "Why would you do that?".

"Just because. Let's just forget I said that okay? I'm gonna hit the showers, care to join?".

I scoff "No thank you". He leaves the bed and I hear the bathroom door open and close. I wonder what went down with those two.




                    LUTHER'S POV

Coming out of the shower I see Violet on a towel, I chuckle " You could've just joined me, is not like you'll see anything".

She rolls her eye balls "Easy for you to say, I will just have a peaceful bath on my own". She uses her staff to guide her way to the bathroom.

I change to my plain black PJs I suddenly hear a loud bang, I run toward the bathroom " Violet are you okay?".

She stutters "I'm-i'm fine". 

" Are you sure?".

"Yes". I suddenly hear her wail "Luther?".

" Yea I'm still here".

"I-I can't stand up, can you come get me". Without thinking I burst into the bathroom, I see Violet naked on the floor she must've slipped when she was coming out of the tub

" Are you okay?". I said rushing towards her.

"I must have hurt my leg,I can't stand up".

" let me see". I noticed her ankle wasn't looking quite okay, the minute I touch it she cried "Oh no...". I carry her in my arms "you'll be fine okay?". She nods in pain.I take her to the bedroom and carefully put her in bed, I use the blanket to cover her up."l'll go get some ice packs and bandage okay?". She nods.

I rush out of the room to the kitchen, I check the cabinet and I don't see the first aid kit " Fuck! Where is it?" I exclaimed

Amanda ask curiously "Where's what?".

" The first aid kit damn it!".

Leo suddenly appears "Why what's wrong?".

I take in deep breath to calm down "Violet fell, she sprained her ankle". Leo immediately rushes to her, I turn to Amanda " Where is the first aid kit?".

She looks at the cabinet "Its suppose to be here" she checks the drawers, I join her to look for it, I find it on top of the fridge, I open the freezer for an ice pack. "okay I got it". I run to the room

I see Violet with Leo, he was comforting her, he looked really worried. The sight of it got me really mad. I storm into the room, I push Leo out of my way. " Violet are you okay?".She just nods, I slowly place the ice on her sprain, she cries "Easy..easy..." She tries using her hand to push mine away, it must really hurt.

"Don't you think you're applying too much pressure?". Leo ask worried

I slowly turn to him, I glare at him "Do you have a problem with me kid?". After about 20mins I wrap the ankle with a badge. " is it better?".

"Yes, thank you Luther". I sit next to her carefully stroking her hair "You're welcome".

Leo clears his throat to get our attention "You might need to stay in bed for some time".

Violet shakes her head " No I can't do that, what about work, I'll manage".

"You're hurt, I can manage on my own tomorrow okay?". She doesn't say anything, I sigh "If there's any issue I can just call you, oh wait, you don't have a phone do you".

" Not since the accident no, it will be hard adjusting to a new one so it's really not on my mind".

I sigh "I get that, but now its time for you to get one, in case for emergencies okay? Don't worry things are easier now technology is more advanced now"

"If you say so, then I guess I'll get one".

" I'll get you one on my way back from work tomorrow okay? if I have any questions I'll call Amanda okay?".

She smiles "Okay".

I glare at Leo and give him a head signal to leave "I'll get going then".he said rather blunt before leaving the room.

" You should take it on Leo Luther, he's just worried about me that's all". And that's what I don't like. Who is he to worry about her? Just because he knows our secret doesn't mean he can threaten me, I gave him this job and I can take it away from him.
