JESSE'S POV




I met up with the minister in our guest lounge




"How has it been so far? Made any progress yet?". He asked taking a sip of his alcohol




"Unfortunately we haven't been able to, but dont worry I've got someone on the inside".




" You better be quick about it".




I nod "of course sir".




He sighs resting his back comfortably on the couch "I heard Mr chad's daughter is married now, you know what that means, your position that is".




" I do, and I trust you are going to take my side, as long as the board and shareholders are on my side I can secure my position, Violet is blind and incapable of running her father's business, her husband has no idea either he didn't even finish high school, I can use that as my defence".




He nods "Good to see you got things figured out".




I smile " You have no idea". My Secretary clears his throat to get my attention, he whispers in my ear




"Sir there's an emergency meeting being held with the boards right now".




My eyes widen "What?". I face the minister "excuse me". I stand up and leave immediately




I aggressively walk to the room the meeting is being held, I burst the door open "Who? Who called the emergency meeting?".




My eyes widen when I see Violet with Luther next to her " I did, sorry about that, I just got married yesterday and things aren't planned out yet I stopped by on my way to the house".so they spent the night together at the hotel?




"What is the meeting about?".




" Please take a seat, so we can start".




I hesitate a little before sitting down "Why are you here?".




She smiles "Well, as you know my father gave me the privilege of appointing who will run things around here, dont get me wrong I am very much capable of running my father's business, he taught me a lot of strategies but unfortunately for me I have a disability that makes people uncomfortable, which is why I want my husband to be in charge of things".




Everyone gasped as they started talking amongst themselves




I smirk as I raise my voice " How can he? He didn't even graduate high school" everyone becomes worried




She smiles "Thank you for pointing that out, he is just going to be my eyes and ears I'll make the decisions and help grow my father's business-" I interrupt her




"Sorry but since we were married you've been nothing but a housewife even you couldn't manage to do that right, how can we trust you with such responsibility?".




She rests her elbows on the table to rest her chin on the palm of her hand " I manage to run my gallery all by myself and it's been doing very well, even while married to you, speaking of which hasn't the boilers been number 1 ever since you ran this place?".




I adjust my tie and clear my throat "Okay I admit that but that was only because of the accident, I'm still a better candidate".




" Look I dont want to take your spot, I have a deal, Luther and I will manage things for three months afterwards they'll be an election, if we win, we get to run things if you win you'll keep your position, deal?".




Something is fishy, if I don't accept I will look like a coward, whatever you have up your sleeves Violet, is not enough to stop me "Deal, fine by me"




We both stand up and shake hands




"Thank you all for making time, I'll be on my way, come on sweetie let's go home". I clench my fist as I watch Luther assists, Violet, he makes eye contact with me and smiles to piss me off, just wait and see what I got in store for you".




I burst into my office and kick my chair "Ben!" I exclaimed he rushes over to meet me




"Sir?".




" Any info on that bastard Luther yet?".




He shakes his head "No sir, we still digging"




"Well you better be fast about it"




"Of course". He runs off.




Those bastards!.




                     VIOLET'S POV




Luther and I were sited opposite each other at the dining table
" A toast for day one". Luther said after pouring wine into my glass




We cheer clicking our glasses, I drink it all I one gulp "ahh that hit the spot".




He chuckles " Glad you see you all fired up, you really surprised me today".




"Did I?".




" Yea didn't know you got that in you, sometimes it feels like I dont even know you, I keep forgetting you are no longer a little girl".




"That's because I'm not, I'm grown now, and.. I'm now your wife".




"Yea that's true, let's make things work out okay?". I smile at him " sleeping arrangement, I'll be coming to your room today right?".




"Uhm I was thinking we both move to the master's bedroom, my father's room, is that okay?".




"Of course, I'll go move my things". He leaves immediately, I smile, it's obvious he's doing so to make me feel alright.




" Are you sure you're okay with this ma'am?"Leo ask concerned




"You have a thing for eavesdropping dont you?".




" Forgive me, it wasn't my intention, I had to stay around to make sure no one else was eavesdropping on you guys".




I smile at him "it's okay, I was just messing with you, thank Leo, I appreciate it".




" Anything for you ma'am".




"We are age mate Leo, you calling me ma'am is kind of weird".




"Forgive me, I dont exactly know how to address you, you might find me addressing you differently from time to time".




"Hey, no sweat, whatever you are comfortable with" I sigh "Do you think I can achieve my goal? Bring those who did this to me and my father to Justice, take back what's mine". I feel his hands on mine which catch me by surprise 




" Yes, I believe you can do whatever it is you set your mind to, and I will always be next to you" my heart suddenly skips a beat, I hold my chest, what's this feeling?.
