"Don't you dare touch her"I said glaring at Benita, giving her my death stare

She gulps "I was just-just stretching". She awkwardly starts stretching

Jesse clears his throat to get our attention "I apologize on my wife's behalf, congratulations on your engagement". I noticed Violet looked lost in thoughts

"Thank you". I shake his hand, even though it wasn't stretched out "Please, enjoy the rest of the evening".

I take Violet away from their presence, Leo rushes towards us "Take Violet to her room, I think she has had enough for tonight, I'll take care of the rest".

He bows "Okay sir".

"Will you be okay?, I can stay a little bit longer, you can't possibly handle all the guests by yourself". She said concerned

I place my hand on her shoulder, I smile at her "It's alright, you get some rest okay?".

"Okay then, don't stress yourself, goodnight". I watch herself and Leo leave.

I instantly frown, those bastards, how could they possibly put her in a spot like that.

Someone taps me on my shoulder, I turn and see Jesse, he was holding two glasses of Champaign

"Here". He hands me one, I take it and scoff

"Do you believe I will drink it?, only God knows what you put inside".

He laughs "You are safe I promise, for now at least". 

I smirk at him "I didn't think you'll have the guts to show up, I mean seeing your wife remarry must be, devastating". 

He sighs "Well, I would be bothered, but then why should I?, from what I know, this whole marriage scheme is just a way for Violet to get back at me". He drinks his Champaign in one gulp 

"What do you mean?". 

"You can fool the media, but not me, we both know your relationship is fake. Tell me was there a contract involved?". 

I nod "Is that what you tell yourself to help you sleep well at night?". His stupid smirk slowly fades away "I don't blame you, I mean you did blow your chance with her and-" he suddenly grabs me by my collar 

He threatens with an akward bat man voice "Watch what you say". 

"You should mind what you do, you're dragging attention to us ". He lets me go seeing the media and everyone focused on us, he shakes it off with a laugh. 

I whisper in his ear "Fake or not, I'll be the one by her side, if I'm lucky, I might even get a taste of her". I raise my eyebrow 

He nearly grabs me again, I start laughing watching him resist the urge. He points at me"You fucking dog, you better not touch a hair on her fucking head. Do you think I'll hand over everything to you?, we'll see who the board chooses you don't know the first thing about running a business". 

I shrug "Life is full of surprises" I check the time "l wonder if my darling angel is fast asleep already. I really can't wait for you and everyone to witness our wedding, I only wonder what her sweet lips taste like. I'll be sure to tell you how things go on our wedding night". Jesse suddenly punches me on my face

He screams at me "You fucking bastard!". Everyone gathers, media starts to do their thing. Damn the punch was a hard one, I caressed my jaw, damn it feels like it got thrown out of my face, I just laugh, perfect. My mum rushes towards me. 





                    VIOLET'S POV

Leo assists me to my room "Thank you". I said to him taking a sit on my bed. 

"You're welcome ma'am". 

I sigh "Thank you for your help earlier". 

"I didn't do anything, ma'am". He responded rather blunt

I smile, he reminds me of Luther when he started "When things like that happen it's always better to ignore". 

"Forgive me, but I don't think It's something I'm capable of doing, sometimes it's very much necessary to stand up for yourself instead of keeping silent like a fool. Uhmm-I didn't mean" 

"it's fine, I understand what you're trying to say". Trust me, I've done that multiple times in the past, and it never solved anything. 

"I'll be on my way then". I hear the door close. 

I let out a Sigh. What Benita said bothers me, was I really looking for pity?, could I be the reason this plan wouldn't work. It must be so unfair to Luther. 

I take a shower and change to my nightwear. My tummy suddenly grumbles. I didn't really get anything to eat at the party. Amanda must still be at the party, it's better I go get something to eat myself. 

I come out of my room 
"Ma'am?". I hear Leo's voice. 

"Leo what are you doing here?".

"I'm standing guard". 

"You were at my door this whole time?" 

"Yes ma'am, it's my job, are you going somewhere?". 

I nod "Yes, I want to get something to eat, I'm hungry". 

"let me assist you then". He helps me to the kitchen. "Take a seat ma'am, I'll make instant noodles for you to eat". I take my seat. I hear him chopping so many things, I hear the sound of hot oil. Is this how instant noodles are made?. 

He suddenly places a plate in front of me, the aroma of the food was mesmerizing 

"Thank you". I said excitedly, he hands me a fork I blow the hot noodles and put it in my mouth, damn it tasted so freaking good "I love it!". I start feeding my self more to the extent I forgot to blow off the steam of one and it burns my lips "Ouch!".I exclaimed 

He quickly attends to me "What's wrong?" he touches my face, he uses his finger to caress my lips, I felt his breath on my face, he was really close to my face "You-you have very beautiful eyes ma'am ". His breath becomes heavier, my heart starts beating like a drum, my hand slips the fork on the table to the floor breaking the mood. 

He clears his throat "I will go get a bandage". He leaves. 

I touch my chest, what was that?. He didn't even ask where we keep the bandages. I carry the bowl of noodles and shrug . I mean it might be cooler now, I sip it from the bowl "Ouch!". It hurts me again. 




                     LUTHER'S POV

I enter the house, I see Leo hitting his head and murmuring something to himself, I walk close to him

"Stupid,stupid, stupid! what's wrong with you, better keep it together". 

"What's wrong?" 

He instantly gets flustered "Oh sir, it's you". He clears his throat "Nothing, I was just on my way bringing a bandage for the lady". 

"Violet? what does she need a bandage for?". 

"Well she hurt herself while eating noodles, she has a little blister on her lips, she's in the kitchen". 

"Okay, thank you for telling me, I'll handle it". 

I instantly run to get the first aid kit and rush to meet with her. 

"ouch-ouch-ouch". She whines as I put a little bandage on her lip

"How on earth did you get this blister? Leo told me it was a little one ". I see the empty bowl of noodles, I sigh "Don't tell me". 

She shurgs "I couldn't resist it was so good and I was really hungry". 

I scoffed "You surprise me". I walk to the fridge to look for an ice pack. 

"How was the party?, I heard your mother was around, I'm sorry I couldn't meet with her". 

I close the fridge "Don't worry about it, the party was quite alright, ended with quite a drama. ah-ah-ahhhh" I moan as I put the ice pack on my face. 

"Are you okay?". She asked concerned 

"Nothing to worry about it Jesse just used his fist instead of his word". She rushed towards me almost tripping on her Staff, I hold onto her before she could fall "Be careful". She stands straight

"I'm sorry". She takes the ice pack from me, she places it on my face herself, I direct her hand to my jaw "What happened?". 

"Partially my fault, I said some things that pissed him off". 

"What could you have possibly said that made him hit you?".

I brush the hair off her face "I said, I wondered what your sweet lips tasted like". She instantly drops the ice pack.
