Chapter 19
Dylan sat at the airport with an old man sitting beside him. The man was eating a donut and carbonated can drink. Dylan watched the man eating hungrily and hurrily. The man had held him earlier when he was about to buy some drink; he looked homeless and hungry.
Dylan had no choice but to buy him something to eat. Dylan remembered going out with Alexia one day, she saw an old man out in the cold, she wanted to help him badly but the car was on motion. She cried for three days straight because he didn't help the man.
Now, he couldn't leave this homeless man alone because of Alexia. It seemed her soft heart was rubbing off on him.
'I have to go now, man." Dylan uttered.
He searched his pocket and gave the man some couple of dollars. The man checked the money in his hand, he smiled because no one had done something as huge as this for him. Tears fell from his face and he was unable to say a word.
Dylan felt it.
It felt what it was like to do good.
That feeling was a kind of irreplaceable feeling and he wanted more of it. It was a different kind of happiness, now, he wanted to do more.
'Its fine, man." he replied to the man, waved at him and walked away.
Dylan rushed back to the house to get his phone. He realised he had the number of the man and he could track his whereabout. Dylan knew that since the man was in Mexico, he would want to message Alexia to see him. If he did that and Alexia does see him thinking it's ‘Dylan'
He could drug her and take explicit pictures and videos of her which Henry and Clarissa needs to blackmail her into signing all of her properties to them.
Alexia had lost a lot.
As he walked back to his car, he realised Alexia must be waiting at the beach but what he was busy doing was the best for her. He tracked the number and got the location. The man was actually in the same hotel as Alexia.
Damn, what was he thinking?!
Of fvcking course, he would be in the same hotel as Alexia because he wants to get closer to her. Dylan was so angry, he walked into the hotel until he got his room on the location tracker. He banged on his door until the young man opened it.
When the young man saw Dylan, he was shocked. Everyone knew Dylan young, he was the youngest richest and bachelor man.
Martins dilated his eyes.
'He... Hello." He waved his hand.
'Do you know Henry and Clarissa?" Dylan asked and walked into his room.
Martins shook his head.
'Of course not." He replied feigning innocence.
Dylan wasn't there to play, he pulled out a gun from his pocket and pointed it at his forehead. Martins closed his eyes in fear and raised his hands in surrender.
'Yes, I do!" he replied almost immediately.
'You're here because of Alexia right?" he asked and the man nodded his head.
'I'm only doing it because I don't have a good job and my sister just got into college, I don't want her to go into debt. I had to do something as a man!" he yelled almost crying.
'I know so shut up!"
He yelled back at him.
'I want you to stop the job they gave you. Don't message Alexia anymore and check out of this hotel room. Anytime they call you, you'll tell them you've started, okay? Also, I will update you whenever I have the time. As for your family, they are safe under me." He uttered.
The man nodded his head.
His hair bounced up and down as he shook his head in chagrin.
Dylan dropped the gun back into just pocket, he tapped the young man's shoulder and smiled.
'I am not a killer until you disobey me. We can be friends as long as you do what I say. They asked you to ruin Alexia for how much?" he asked still staring at him.
'They paid me ten thousand dollars. They said I will get more money if I am done with the work."
'Tell me, have you met Alexia in person before?" he asked still looking at him.
'Yes. I met her twice. First was a day at the lakeside, she was sad so I comforted her. Second time was at her father's wedding until you came and I had to run so you wouldn't discover me." He explained.
'Okay. Now, I am giving you another job. I want you to protect Alexia at all means and I will give you twenty thousand dollars with a job at one of my companies. I will help your sister with her college fee until she is done but... You just protect Alexia even with you life." He uttered.
Martin raised his head.
His eyes gathered with tears. He fell on the floor and held his leg, crying and thanking him.
'I didn't do it because I need a thank you from you, I gave you this job because I want Alexia to be protected. I cannot attack those people now but you're closest to them, I need you to always tell me whatever they plan to do for Alexia: I want you to be my Informant."
Martin nodded his head, tears still falling from his eyes.
'Good." Dylan, without smiling walked out of the room. However, it was the same time Alexia walked through the passage. She saw Dylan walking out of a random room, her heart broke into pieces. The first thought that laid her heart was him sleeping with another woman while she waited at the beach.
Tears gathered in her eyes but she was quick to wipe it off before he sees her. She walked past him with a strong face; hoping that he would just let her go.
Dylan saw that she was just coming.
He knew.
He knew she was hurt.
He knew he had to do something.
He scurried towards her, held her hand and turned her around but she pushed him away then slapped his face. At this time, she couldn't hold her tears anymore.
'What do you think I am? A toy; that you can play over and over again? If you wanted to spend your life sleeping with another girl, you could have done so and not include me.
I waited for you.
I hoped you will come.
I made excuses for you in my heart.
Even entering this hotel, I still made excuses for you in my heart.
I thought you really meant what you said earlier but who am I? Why would you change for me?
I am so dumb!
Fuck! I am so damn gullible!"
She yelled, stomped her feet and walked away.
Crying as she did. Alexia was that way, she was too soft; she cannot hide her feelings.
Dylan heart broke into million pieces.
'I didn't come to sleep with anyone!" he yelled.
Alexia hadn't made a turn yet so she heard him, she turned to him; with tears in her eyes.
Seeing the tears in her eyes broke Dylan's heart in a million pieces.
'Then explain that... Who did you go there to meet?" she asked.
'Huh..." he tried to fix up a lie.
Alexia searched his eyes for the truth and she saw he was confused; he was thinking of a lie.
'Save it! I don't need your explanation. After all, I am not your girlfriend, I am nothing to you and I am married!" After saying this, she walked away.
Dylan fell to the floor, it was as though his leg turned to jelly. He wished to run after her but he couldn't.
He wished to tell her everything but she wouldn't believe him and she will ruin everything.
His heart sank.
He felt pain.
Real pain that he didn't know he could feel.
Why was he feeling pain?
He is not in love with her right but he was feeling bad; his conscience was eating him up.
Unlike other women, even after what he did to them, he never for once felt bad rather he felt like a champion. However, with Alexia he felt like a tramp.
