Chapter 40
'What do you mean, Henry?" Alexia asked, she raised her brows; surprised at what he had said.
'You don't have to but I can't say I will ever trust you again." Henry removed his hand from her hair and looked away.
Alexia was still on her knees, her hands rested on the bed beside him. She was looking elsewhere thinking about it.
Few minutes of thinking over it, Alexia thought that it was the right thing to do. After all, Henry was her husband and he would never hurt her. She had cheated on him, it was just right if she proved herself to him. By making him the head of her company, she would be empowering him and assuring him that she would never cheat again.
'Fine, I will do it," Alexia uttered.
Henry thought he heard her wrong, he smiled and wrapped his hand around her body. He pulled her beside him and kissed her forehead passionately.
'I love you so much, Alexia. It is you I can ever love." His brown eyes sparkled as he talked, his thin lips parted a little, while his other hand stayed on her waist gently caressing it.
He pushed her closer with the hand on her waist, which made their lips inches apart. He pulled her closer enough for their lips to touch, he began to kiss her slowly and passionately, caressing her waist as he did.
Late At Night:
The lawyer resumed Alexia's house, he was shocked to have been called by Alexia at that time for that kind of issue. He wanted to talk some sense into her about her decision but she didn't listen to him.
He arrived at her house around 9 pm with the necessary documents. He entered the living room where he saw Alexia and Henry talking to each other.
'Alexia, I am here." He made his presence known.
Alexia and Henry turned to him at the same time. Alexia stood up quickly, her black hair fell to its length, which was her waist. She looked so beautiful without make-up and in her bum short and baggy shirt.
'Where do I have to sign?" she asked not wanting to waste time.
Alexia thought that doing this would prove to Henry that she would never cheat again. She thought that it will strengthen their marriage and he wouldn't have a reason to leave her anymore.
Alexia thought that Henry would fill the loneliness that draped her life. He would fill every spot of affection, every wall of love, and every brick of wants in her life. She wanted him to stay. She needed him to dwell in her life, she wanted him to fill every part of her life so she would never feel alone.
It was all she ever wanted.
She sat on the armchair next to the lawyer and he handed her the documents.
'Are you sure you want to do this?" The lawyer asked avoiding the look on Henry's face.
Henry didn't hide his contentious expression at all, he gave it to the lawyer who did well to avoid his face.
'Sure." Alexia gave the middle-aged man a little smile then she bent her head and signed every one of the documents she needed to.
Henry watched every of her move anxiously, he couldn't wait. Once she was done, the lawyer received it and then gave it to Henry to put in his signature. Henry was so excited, that he signed everything needed quickly.
'Is that all?" Henry asked.
Attorney Gideon stood on his feet, he shook Alexia with a vague smile on his face before walking out. He left Henry's question answered but it didn't bother Henry too much because he had gotten what he wanted.
Alexia turned to him with a smile on her face.
'I have done what you want, can you see I will never cheat on you again and I love you so much?" Alexia uttered.
Henry smiled as he walked closer to her. She lifted her head a little to look at his face while he used his hand to move her hair from disturbing her face. He draped his hand to her waist, pulled her closer, and smiled.
'Yes baby, I believe you now." He answered.
Alexia hugged him quickly, she was so happy.
After the hug, Henry told her he was hungry but he needed to see a friend first and he would be back. Alexia stayed home to prepare dinner.
Meanwhile:
Thirty minutes later, Henry arrived at a restaurant. He was grinning was ear to ear as he walked into the fancy restaurant. Then he was taken to a private area by one of the hostesses.
Once he sighted Clarissa, he rushed to her and planted a kiss on her forehead. He then placed his hand on her waist and danced with her.
'She signed it already" he beamed. He was excited. His cheeks are flustered. He was finally a billionaire. He was finally in charge of so much money, assets, and properties. He would be able to do anything he wanted.
Clarissa clapped her hands excitedly. She was so happy as well. She would be the wife of a billionaire. She would no longer have to beg her best friend for a couple of dollars. Alexia will no longer be the first to buy those designer shoes and bags while she keeps the photos in her gallery. Now, they would adorn her closet.
Finally, she won't be the friend of the rich anymore but the rich herself. She jumped and wrapped her legs around his torso kissing him a million times.
The duo was so excited.
'Alexia will die of heartbreak when she sees you as my husband on my wedding day. She has been planning day and night for me only for her to get there and be heartbroken." Clarissa laughed heartlessly, brutally.
How can Alexia be so unlucky to have friends like this? She thought she was finally blessed with people that loves her but she didn't know they are a curse instead of a blessing.
