Chapter 25

'Guys!"
Anna hit her brother, her eyes was still on Alexia. Everyone turned their faces to Alexia and their mouth went wild open. Alexia had opened her eyes, she looked at all of them one after the other. When she saw Dylan, she looked at him for about ten seconds before taking her eyes to Henry who rushed to her followed by Clarissa.

Anna and Dylan moved to her but they stood by her leg watching Henry and Clarissa act like the most caring people in the world.
'Are you okay?" Henry asked quickly.
Tears filled Alexia's eyes seeing Henry, she wanted to sit up and pull him into a hug but Anna was quick to refrain her.
'I will go and get the doctor." Dylan said intending to leave the scene. He hated that Alexia was acting all loving to Henry, it was affecting him very much.

Alexia watched him with the corner of her eyes until he was out of sight. She soon focus her attention back on Henry, Clarissa and Anna.
'Guys, I feel sour but so sour." She uttered.
Henry placed his hand on her face, he gently caressed it and planted a kiss on her lips.
'I understand babe, that man is a criminal!" Henry shouted.
Alexia smiled and placed her hand on his palm.
She was very happy that he was with her. Although the circumstance that made him stay with her was not a good one, it was still better because he was with her.

'Anna, thank you for being here. Since when have you been here?" she asked.
Anna smiles gently. Only if Alexia knows that it has been Dylan that stayed with her. Anna was about to answer then Clarissa interjected;
'I and Henry had been the one staying with you. Anna and Dylan are no one, don't think about them!" Clarissa snapped.
Anna wishes she had allows Dylan to slap the fvck outta her face. How can a woman be so deceitful?!
Anna didn't want to argue because it wouldn't be useful especially because of Alexia's health.
'Henry, is that true? You were here with me? I know the nurses can't do much except someone stays with me. You have been the one staying with me?" she asked looking at his face with a smile plastered on her face.
'Yes." Henry nodded his head - he lied.

Alexia caressed his palm, she smiled and scooted closer for him to kiss her which he did.
'Henry, are you staying for good now?" she asked hopefully.
Henry face fell. Alexia knew what he was going to say although he hadn't said it.
'Alexia, do you know how much damage I have caused being here with you? I can't even tell you what I have been doing and that's what so painful. Alexia..."
Alexia smiled before he even started.
She nodded her head.
'As long as you are okay, I will be fine." She assured him even though she didn't mean it.

Dylan sat in front of the lawyer in the bar. He drank from his bottle of tequila and looked at the lawyer again.
'I want him killed and subjected to deep torture. Have you seen the victim's body?" Dylan looked very pissed.

'Yea, I have discussed it with the judge. I told you the judge is a very good friend of mine and he promised to subject him to too much torture, he would pray for death instead. I watched the video and saw the comment of many ladies, I almost cried. He cannot go scot free!" Mr. Benjamin promised.

Dylan nodded his head and continued to drink from his tequila. His memories reiterated back to when Alexia opened her eyes in the hospital. It came back like slow motion, her full lashes separated from each other. She removed the tubes in her mouth and looked at everyone until her hazel eyes reached him. She started at him for few seconds, not blinking, not breaking contact. His heart had raced, he didn't know what to do. It was like time was stopped, he took in her entire feature and even if her face looked pale, she was still the most beautiful girl in the room.

Henry dashed to her and he wanted to slap his face so hard for touching Alexia immediately. However, bad or not, she was still his wife. He married her legally and he had more right than anyone in the room. He wanted to embrace her so bad. He wanted to touch her face. He wanted to kiss her lips. He wanted to help her sit up. He wanted to tell her how much he was worried. He wanted her to know how much he feared that she was going to die.

That he missed her. He wanted her to know that he missed her very much. He missed her dark hair that she always packed in a bun because she hated to style her hair or drop it down. He missed her face which had always been flawless even without make up. He missed her hands which were always adorned with beads because it the only beauty she thinks is not stressful.
He missed her looking into the pool. Her innocent eyes. Fuck! He missed everything about her, every damn thing!

'Dylan, will you come to the court, tomorrow?" Mr. Benjamin tapped him on the lab.
Dylan shook his head.
'You might just have to sentence one and defend one tomorrow if I come there." he answered wearily.
Mr Benjamin stiffled a laughter.
He stood and drank all the content in his cup.
'I will have to go now. I'm already so tired."

Dylan nodded his head and Mr. Benjamin left leaving him alone to wallow in his thoughts.
'I know I shouldn't have left her. I should have just wrapped her around myself and.. You know.." his eyes were half closed as he talked. He was not too drunk but he was tired and he didn't feel the need to move from where he was.

Dylan woke up In the hotel the next morning, he looked around but didn't remember lodging in an hotel the previous night. He was about to stand up when he noticed that there was a brown skinned lady by his side. She had nice shape and curly hair. He recognised her hair but didn't know where he had seen her.

He didn't even remember patronising a slut yesterday but he ignored it. He stood and walked to his trouser which was on the floor. He checked the pocket and brought out some cash from it, he placed it beside the lady then began to wear his clothes.
He glanced at the time, it was 12pm.
He sighed worriedly because he hadn't seen Alexia since he left the hospital. He picked his car key which sat on the table, his phone was right beside it; he picked that too and walked out of the room forgetting the girl almost immediately.

He rushed to his car and drove back to the hospital. As he drove he checked his phone for any messages. Truly, he missed tons of calls from Anna and his mother.
'Why did they call me?" he wondered. He increased his speed because he was now eager to reach the hospital.
