Chapter 29

The driver turned around and removed his hat, seeing him, Alexia widened her eyes; she couldn't believe it was him.
Her heart pounded faster against her chest, she knew she was in trouble just by setting her eyes on him.

'Austin? I...I thought you have been sentenced?" she widened her eyes looking at him. Austin's hands were on the wheel, he was still driving while his face was morphed into a sinister smile.

'You think you and your stupid lover can sentence me to jail? Have you forgotten that I am one of the richest men in the world? I am here for my final revenge, Alexia and I don't care if I die too. As long as I am alive, no man will have you!" he bellowed.

Alexia's heart accelerated, she was scared for her life. Austin looked serious, it was better to be scared of him. The man had been angered since high school, after wanting her to be his and begging her for years, she gave herself to Dylan.

He was so pained, that he thought that she only agreed to be Dylan's girlfriend because he was handsome so he went to do plastic surgery. Again, she didn't accept him, she went to get married to Henry. At this time, Austin couldn't take it anymore; even if he had to force her, he wanted her to be his.
Right now, he was determined to die to get her. In heaven, she would have no choice but to be with him.

Alexia thought that she couldn't just seat and watch Austin drive her to death, she sat up hoping to be able to take the steering wheel from him. However, it only made Austin lose control of the brake and wheel, thereby allowing the car to go zig-zag causing a loud screeching and irritating sound.

'Alexia?!!" Austin yelled when he saw that the car was heading for the pole, he was scared of his life and that of Alexia. Previously, he was brave and wasn't scared of death. However, being faced with death resurrected the fear in him; he held onto Alexia's hand in great fear while the car headed for the pole before them.

'BANG!!" Crashed the car against the pole.


Alexia was pushed back against the back seat while Austin got saved by the airbag from the stirring wheel. Alexia went unconscious almost immediately but Austin didn't, he raised his head and saw Alexia bleeding from her forehead.
With shaking hands, he turned to her; his eyes watered just by seeing blood ooze from her forehead.

'Alexia... I'm sorry.." he cried.

At the same time, another car pulled over. In it came put two men in police uniform and the driver who could be recognized as Dylan. Dylan rushed to where Alexia was, he looked at Austin with anger but before he could land punches on him, the policemen had taken Austin.
Dylan carried Alexia in a bridal style, he took her to his car and headed to the hospital.

Alexia was discharged two days later, and almost immediately she went to the airport to go back to America. All that had happened in Mexico was so traumatizing, she almost died twice all because of a high school crush. It was too much to handle so she left.

Hours Later:

The private airplane arrived at America Airport. Alexia got down from the plane, and beside her was her assistant, Rayden. Rayden came to visit her in the hospital and apologized for not being at work. Apparently, her grandmother was sick and her phone fell into the water.

Alexia didn't mind and accepted her back quickly. Alexia decided to go to the office to oversee what was going on and how her executive assistant had been coping without her.

Reaching the company, Alexia entered her office with her executive assistant following her with some documents in his hand. His name was Liam Tate; a handsome young man with brown hair.

'Ma'am, your father had been here three times since you left for the country, he said that it is possible that you die in Mexico and Kylie would be taking over if that happens."

Alexia had opened the door and stepped one foot into her office before the words fell completely out of his mouth. She stopped not because of what he had said but because of who she saw sitting on her chair. Alexia was shocked, she didn't know that her former best friend would have so much mind to come into her office and take a seat like a queen.

'Stand up." Alexia walked towards her and dragged her off the seat.

Kylie was wearing a skimpy dress, she stood up as Alexia dragged her violently. A smile was planted on her cosmetic face.

'I swear I thought you were dead!" she did a downward smile and clutched her bag to her chest.

Alexia sighed.
'I know you are with my father because of all of this wealth but did he tell you that he had only ten percent in the company and I have the rest of the ninety meaning I rule and I am the CEO." Alexia was so angry. Kylie must take her for a fool to still stand in front of her and speak. Alexia must be so soft that Kylie thought she act the way she wants.

'But if you die everything would be transferred to him, have you forgotten he is the only family you have left? Oh my bad, I am not supposed to say that out loud!" Kylie placed her hand on her mouth acting shocked when in fact she really wanted Alexia to know her plans.

'The only mistake I made was choosing you as my best friend when you are the evilest and despicable person in the world," Alexia uttered through gritted teeth.

Kylie gave her a small smile before walking out arrogantly. Looking at her, Alexia felt so irritated, that she sighed before going to sit. Then, Liam placed the file in from of her.
Alexia opened the file and she couldn't help but exclaim.

'What the hell is this?!" she yelled.
