Chapter 36

Dylan couldn't admit to himself that he was still very much in love with Kylie. She had hurt him, yes. Did she cheat on him? Yes but all of it didn't take away the feelings he had for her.

She was the first woman he ever felt attracted to. He loved her fierce side, the side that didn't really give in to him. He loved that she made him yearn for her, unlike other ladies who would fall into his arms.

Kylie smiled when his hands connected to her hips, she knew that Alexia would be staring which would definitely bring tears to her eyes. Indeed, Kylie was smart.

She knew Alexia didn't love her new husband, Henry. She got married to the guy two months after Dylan broke up because she wanted to make Dylan angry.
Alexia didn't even wait to heal before she went to marry another man.

Once Kylie had gotten what she wanted, she separated from Dylan and walked away smiling menacingly as she walked.

Dylan was left alone to think about his decision.

Meanwhile,

. Alexia shut the door hard, tears formed in her eyes and she didn't know the reason. She slid her back against the door until her butt hit the floor.
Why am I crying? she asked herself even though she knew the answer.
Fuck! How can I cry over a man who's clearly in love with another woman? No matter what she do to him, he would always love her so why am I hurt?!

She questioned herself, her tears still forming in her eyes. Love was nothing but pain, if she knew it was like this, she wouldn't have dipped her hand and legs into it but now, it was like cold water, making her shiver and swish from the coldness that embraced her.

It was painful!

At The Club:

Dylan could be seen drinking from a bottle of tequila. The scene with Kylie had scattered his thought and head. He thought he had gotten over her until she kissed him and he couldn't resist. Is this what love is?
He had thought he was in love with Alexia but it was untrue. Perhaps, he was hiding under the influence that Alexia was a good girl who would never break his heart especially because she was madly in love with him.

Dylan was confused indeed. Love could be a really confusing feeling, you could hardly decipher it. He gulped down a large liquid from the bottle and then rested his head on his palm.

Just then, a lady walked towards him. The lady was very beautiful, she had blonde hair and blue eyes. She sat beside Dylan with a smile on her face.

'A snack for the night," he muttered to himself.

Alexia and Rayden sat in the office talking about a particular clothes they had seen online.
'Rayden, what about your boyfriend? I heard you two broke up." Alexia wasn't one to gossip but it was her friend in this case, she had to say something.

Rayden gave her a sad smile.
'Yes, I have gotten over it. Please don't talk about it again. Right now, I just want to face my work and create more channels for delivery especially because you have connected me with your Business associate. They keep ordering more food from my restaurant." Rayden sounded excited giving Alexia the good news.

'I am happy you're thinking about work more and not brooding because of that man. I am sure you will meet a man who would appreciate you and love you more."

Rayden smiled, she looked at her phone.
'Did you hear from Clarrissa? I haven't seen her since you came to my store the other day."

Alexia shook her head.
'I saw her post, she said she is getting married soon so she will be busy with that for now. I wonder who she is getting married to tho."

Before Rayden could reply to Alexia, someone walked in. It was Brendax, he was so handsome, Rayden couldn't look away from him. His tall and broad frame caught her falling in love when she had promised herself never to think or fall in love again.

However, Brendax's face looked gloomy. He walked toward Alexia quickly, his eyes seemed like he had been crying so Alexia quickly attended to him.

'He did it again." He uttered.

Alexia was confused.
'Dylan did it again. Last night, he sent me photos of him and Helen together. I don't even know how he found out that I have a new girlfriend. Did you tell him?" Brendax asked looking at her.

Alexia's face fell quickly, she remembered dancing with him at the party and she told him that Brendax had moved on. If she knew that Dylan was this despicable, she wouldn't have told him.

'Brendax, I am so sorry. I didn't know she would do that again. I thought that he had changed and I only said it because he thought that you wanted to do something bad to me." Alexia felt so guilty.

The young man slapped his hand against the table, he was so angry and he looked heartbroken.

Alexia felt more guilty especially when she saw the distorted look on his face. Then, he sat on the chair beside Rayden who looked at him pathetically.

Alexia stood quickly and went to comfort Brendax, her hands were clenched. She wanted nothing but to talk some sense into Dylan. How could he be so childish and immature?
And Helen? How can she even give in to Dylan?

At this point, Alexia realized that she was no different too, she wasn't able to resist Dylan as well.

'Dylan is so full of himself, he is an animal and he doesn't wish me well at all. Alexia, I am so heartbroken, I am not sure I will be able to fall in love again." His voice broke Alexia's heart, she didn't know when she pulled him in for a hug.
