Chapter 56
It's another weekend, Dylan woke up that day and the first thing that came to his mind was Alexia. He wore his black shirt and walked out quickly; he drove to Alexia's house.
Parking his car at a distance, he finally saw a car driving out, it was Alexia and her two friends. Dylan followed and he saw them stop at a park. Someone came out of a black SUV, it was Alexander.
Dylan wanted to be the one with Alexia, the one planning dates and outings like this but he couldn't. Even when he had the chance, he never took it to his advantage.
He watched them from afar, he saw Alexia, she was happy with Alexander. They played, hide and seek; he was gentle with her even when he was chasing her. When she wanted to eat, he helped her pick her food. Dylan watched, he picked only her favorite. He bought her favorite snacks too, chips included, and her favorite juice.
He saw that Alexander was a real gentleman, he was very gentle with her and he did everything cautiously so she wouldn't get hurt. Unlike him who does things impulsively, not caring about how she would feel about it.
He was right for her. Peter was right, if you truly love someone you have to make sacrifices. If being with Alexia makes her sad but being with Alexander makes her happy then he was willing to let go.
After the picnic, Clarissa and Rayden took Alexia's car home, While Alexander drove Alexia back to her home. Dylan waited outside, a few walks away from Alexia's house. Once he saw that Alexander was returning, he stood in front of the car quickly; he knew Alexander would press on the break.
'What the hell?!" Alexander stepped out of his car.
'I just want to talk." Dylan raised his hands in surrender and removed the hood and cap covering his hand and face.
Alexander recognize him quickly
'Dylan Young?" he raised an eyebrow.
Looking at the full moonlight, Dylan placed his hand into his pocket, he heaved a sigh then started,
'She is happy with you."
Alexander looked at him.
'I haven't seen her laugh like that since we broke up. I really broke her heart, I didn't realize how much pain I caused her until I saw her today. The loneliness she felt before wasn't there anymore. She looked happy with you all around her. I think she found her strength more and I am not even a part of that strength. I don't want to pull her down.." He looked at Alexander.
'You deserve her more than I do. Not trying to be cliche but you need to take care of her, she has a good and pure heart. She can go to any length to make others happy even if it hurts her. She is that rare girlfriend the world needs." Dylan gave a warm smile, his green eyes began to glisten knowing how much it hurts him to finally give her up.
'I'm done chasing her." He added.
Y AND A GROUP:
Brendax made his way to Alexia's office but he was suddenly stopped by someone. Kylie stood in front of him, looking very angry.
'Why aren't you getting the job done?! I haven't seen Alexia's sex tape going viral on social media!" she half yelled.
Brendax swallowed. He looked around hoping no one was going to hear them.
'Is that why you came to work here? So you can easily access the C.E.Os post?" Brendax questioned.
'Of course, once Alexia is dismissed her father would be chosen to continue and Derrick would definitely decline and choose me instead. Which part of my plans don't you get?!"
'Why don't you kill her off? All her shares would become that of Derrick's right which means it will automatically become yours."
Kylie crossed her hand over her chest.
'I can't do that, Alexia needs to suffer before she dies. I don't want her dead, I want her to see me enjoying my life while she is trapped, not able to live or die but suffers." A sinister smile formed on her face.
'What did she ever do to you?" Brendax couldn't help but ask. Knowing Alexia, she is nothing but a sweet and kind lady. Why would Kylie hate her so much?!
'Why are you asking me so many questions?! Shut the hell up and get the work done!" She shouted and walked away.
Brendax sighed and headed to Alexia's office. He saw her standing at the window looking over the city.
'You love the sight so much?" he asked as he walked in.
Alexia turned around, she smiled once she saw Brendax. Brendax sat on the sofa a little far from her work table. Alexia moved to him, she sat beside him while the looked at the bouquet of flowers laid on the table.
'Yeah, I do. What are you doing here? Thought you gonna get busy." she raised an eyebrow.
'Well, I can't do without seeing you in a week so I decided to check on you. How are you?" he asked.
Alexia nodded her head, crossing her leg, she placed her head on her palm with its elbow resting on the arm of the sofa. She looked at Brendax.
'Why are you looking that way? Are you okay?" he asked wondering, Alexia had a sad smile on her face.
'Alexander asked me out. This morning he called me to the park before the sunset and we watched it together. After the sunset, the tower had..." she paused and breathe.
'The tower had my name written on it with, will you be my girlfriend request. By the time I turned to him, he was kneeling like he was proposing and he asked me again."
'What did you say?" Brendax asked.
A tear dropped from her face.
'Brendax, it was the most beautiful request I have ever seen. It felt so nice, so good... I couldn't.." A tear dropped off her face again.
