Chapter 22 - Showtime

Reign

We were sitting in our dressing room waiting for showtime. We were each in our own little world; each of us had our own way of getting ready. I did my voice warms up with Jaz and Jyd with some stretching, the others did their own warmups and we just chilled out. When it was finally time to hit the stage, Damien walked me to the stage stairs, his hand never left my back as he led me to the stage entrance, Shadow, Spencer and Spyder walked nearby. Fluff and Furry had their special made earmuffs on and were sitting at the entrance of the stage. The band are always the first to go on and start the show. When the music started, I looked at Damien and raised my brows in excitement. He leaned down and gave me a kiss, which sent sparks shooting all through my body. “Go have fun and kick some ass.” He said with pride in eyes. “We’ll be watching from the stage. Please be mindful and alert.” He asked me. I smiled and winked at him and made my way on stage. “Okay, see ya after the show.”

The show lasted around three hours or so maybe just a little under or over. I don't know, I lose all track of time when I'm on stage. We were into our last encore song; this is when I go down the middle stage that connected to the main stage. There was one to the left, the middle, and the right, it gave us a little more contact with the fans. We never had a problem with this set up, a lot of other bands used a similar set up. I was shaking hands and accepting gifts from the fans, when out of nowhere someone grabbed my wrist tightly and pulled me down towards ‘em, from there all hell broke loose.

“Did you really think that I would let you go that easy?” Luther whispered in my ear as he held me tightly against his body and dragged me from the stage. “Why can’t you just leave me alone?!!” I struggled against him. Luther was pushing through the crowd fighting anyone off that was in his way. I could see Fluff and Furry running towards me weaving through the crowd. I kept fighting to get away from him, I was screaming, kicking, and biting, as we made it to the snack and souvenir area where there was a little more room to move around. He had my back against his chest as we were being surrounded by the fans and a few security guards. “You belong to me! You always have, I will make that mutt regret coming between us.” He growled. “Let me go fucker!!” I yelled biting his hand and punching him. “I don’t belong to you, I never have!” A crowd of people were starting to close in around us. “Don’t get any bright ideas! If any of you come any closer, I'll kill 'er and it will be your fault.” He threatened. I had to get my bearings; I need to think fast. I can’t let him take me out of the stadium. This is what Bucky and Andy trained me for. Fluff and Furry were growling at Luther and eyeing him closely. I was worried that they would get hurt. I know that they are trained to protect me, but I don’t want to lose either one.

“Let ‘er go!” Someone yelled. “Yeah, there is no way you’re gettin’ outta here with her!” Someone else shouted. He kept darting his eyes around trying to find a way out. I used that quick moment of distraction to lift my leg back and kick him in the balls. When he loosened his grip, I was able to turn and punch him in the face, I thought I heard bones cracking. I didn’t get very far with that, he was able to repay the favor, he punched me in the nose and there was another cracking of bones and blood run down my mouth. He used all his weight and strength and stomped on my left leg, I felt that crack also. I was in so much pain, I couldn’t think anymore. I could see him standing over me, the anger raging in his eyes. You will pay for that! He muttered to me; his words laced with hate. As he leaned down to pick me up, he was slammed against the wall. I saw Shadow standing over Luther and my personal team of fuzzy ninja’s, including Fluff and Furry, were surrounding me as law enforcement were arresting him. Damien pushed his way through the crowd and lunged at the guy, pinning him to the wall by his throat and growling. My little four-legged furballs were now standing over me growling. “What makes you think that you can take my woman from me?” I heard him growl. “Mr. Hunt, please, I need you to let him go.” A police officer said calmly. “Ms. Rose needs you, she’s in alotta pain.” “Damien.” I breathed out lowly as the paramedics were working on my injuries. “Damien, please.” I said a little louder. He stopped what he was doing, dropped Luther and was quickly by my side. “Babygirl, I’m so sorry I let you down.” He sighed sadly. I put my hand on his cheek, he took my hand and put it against his lips. I know I said that I was swearing off men, but I don’t think I can stick that, not with Damien. He makes me feel safe and loved. When all this is over, we are going to have a long talk about whatever is going on between us. If there’s even something going on.

“Excuse me sir, we need to get her to the hospital.” One of the medics said. “I’m coming with her.” He stated. “Shadow, Spyder, Spencer, you follow behind with the rest of the kids and make sure to bring Fluff and Furry. I know she’s going to want them in the hospital with her. Moses, make sure things get cleaned up and make sure the police get whatever help they need. Also get the contact information of all the witnesses, Reign’s going to want to know who helped her.” With everything going on, he was calm and thinking of what needed to be done. Thank goodness because I couldn’t process a single thought. Everything was going in slow motion for me. “We got this covered boss. You can count on us to take care of things. All you need to do is take care of our Luna.” Moses told him. “You know the police are going to want to talk with her?” “Yeah, I know, tell them they can call me tomorrow, give them my cell number. They can call me to set up a time to come talk to her.” Damien told him. Moses nodded. “Moses.” I called. “Yeah squirt.” He smiled over at me. “Thank you. Ya’ll are my favorite team of fuzzy ninja’s.” I giggle lightly. He shook his head and laughed.
