Chapter 49: The Vampire Alliance
Reign
“Tinkerbelle’s life is in danger. I couldn’t just sit back, hide, and not try to protect her.” Deklyn stated. “Pppfffttt…” I snorted. “I understand how you feel…” he started. “NO, YOU DON’T!” I yelled. “You weren’t there when mom died! I was alone! You weren’t there to protect me when some psycho made me the object of his twisted delusions! You weren’t there when he abused me and tried to take me, twice! And now you show up trying to be my knight in shining armor?” I yelled, I hadn’t even realized that I was standing in front of my father and poking him in the chest. “Sorry but that spot has already been filled by my mate!” I screamed. Damien pulled me into his arms and wrapped me in a tight hug letting his scent fill my senses. “You have every right to be angry. I wasn’t there for you, you found your mate and have a new family, but I would love to be a part of your family. I would love to rebuild our relationship; I would love to work on being your dad. I’m not saying to pick up where we left off but start again and be there for you to help you with whatever problems you have now. I want to be there for my grandchildren.” He pleaded. I rubbed my hand down my face. “I don’t know.” I whispered. “It’s been a long day.” Damien started. “Let’s get a good night’s sleep and we can talk more in the morning.” Damien suggested. “We need to tighten the borders.” A voice said from the door. “Uncle Martin, what’s wrong?” I asked him. “My wolf is antsy; he has a bad feeling and has been pacing.” Uncle Martin said eyeing me. “We will need Deklyn’s help.”
“Martin, what’s going on that you’re not telling us?” Damien demand from him. “I’m not sure but I think the attack was the first step. He’s preparing for his second phase.” He said starting to pace. “Deklyn,” Damien looked at me, “your daughter, my wife and pups are my life, my world.” He said caressing my cheek then looked back at my father. “I, Alpha King Damien Ayres Hunt, of the Werewolf Kingdom, request your alliance to protect not only my Kingdom but my Alpha Queen and family.” Apryl, Grant, Grifyn and Grace stood beside our dad and nodded in agreement. “I, Apryl Blackburn Black, Vampire Queen, pledge the American Vampire Kingdom’s allegiance and vow to protect Alpha Queen Reign Dyanera Black Rose Raven Hunt, Queen of the Werewolf Kingdom and all supernatural realms and her Royal Highness of the American Vampire kingdom.” Apryl extended her arm and Damien gripped her forearm both sealing the alliance between our Kingdom’s. “Thank you.” Damien sighed in relief. “Let’s regroup in the morning when we’re better rested.” Martin suggested. “Yes, please join us for breakfast.” I smiled. “Deklyn…dad, we can talk more later.” I hugged him and Apryl. “Besides Geneva and I have a play date.” I smiled. I was looking forward to getting to spend some time with her. She is my half-sister, and the triplets are my step siblings. “We will.” Apryl smiled softly at me squeezing my hand.
“Uummm…dad.” Grace called. “I’m going to stay with Moses.” She shyly said, a low growl escaped our dad’s lips and Apryl smacked his chest. He cleared his throat, “Sorry. Reflex.” He grinned. “Not to worry.” I grinned back. “If Moses misbehaves or shows any disrespect, he will have to deal with me.” I glared at him. “Isn’t that right big brother?” I giggled; the look of realization dawned on him. “Damn, that means you’re my LITTLE sister?” He emphasized little. “Don’t let that go to your head, big brother, don’t forget the many times I’ve knocked you on your ass.” I cocked a brow at him. “And, once these little peanuts are born and I get back to myself, I will still be able to take you down.” I raised my eyebrows at him. “Love, you are enjoying this way too much.” Damien laughed through our link. “Not to mention she has two older brothers as well.” Grant snickered as Grifyn whispered something in his ear. “Okay, stop.” Grace huffed. “I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself.” She frowned. I lightly laughed. “Sorry Grace, I’m just messing with Moses.” I hugged her. “He’s been like a big brother to me and now, he is my big brother.” I smirked at him. “I still have some things to hash out with Dek…with dad but that doesn’t mean I’m not happy to know I have siblings.” “Good, now Geneva, I and Tinkerbell here outnumber the boneheads.” “Hey!” Grant and Grifyn yelped in unison.
“We will see all of you in the morning.” Grams said walking out with Gramps and all the elder family members. “Okay, I need to sit and I’m, well these three little ones are hungry again.” I looked at Damien with my puppy eyes and pout. He laughed. “All you have do is ask and ye shall receive, my Queen.” He bowed. “Goodie.” I clapped my hands. “We want…” I started rubbing my tummy “…a pepperoni and mushroom, double that is, pizza, chicken wings with ranch dressing, cheese sticks, shrimp and mushroom alfredo with angel hair pasta and prosciutto, chocolate, strawberry cheesecake and sweet tea.” All the males looked at me like a grew another head. “Is that all?” Grant laughed. “Actually, no…” my fellow preggos chimed in “…bring everything we need for ice cream sundae’s, chili cheese fries or tots, wings of all flavors but nothing to spicy though, cheddar popcorn, caramel and chocolate popcorn, gummy bears, meat lovers’ pizza, Hawaiian pizza, chicken pasta and fruit.” Each one called out their favorite foods. “Don’t forget the sweet tea.”
Grant, Grifyn and Grace stood with mouths hanging open. “Uh, where are you going to get all that?” Grif asked. There’s one place to get all that and it will be delivered in about thirty minutes.” Jyden said hanging up his phone. “We own a restaurant that serves all of the above and they usually have everything on hand for times like this. Moses let patrol know we are waiting for the delivery.” Jyden said. “Oh, let them know I also ordered food for them, it should be in a separate bag when it’s delivered.” Jyden told him. “Got it. Be right back.” He kissed Grace’s cheek. “Sit down you three, your family now.” Jaz welcomed them. We all made ourselves comfortable, Damien and Shadow brought a tray with water and juice with cheese and meats. “Here Babygirl, snack on this until the food gets here.” He held a plate with crackers, cheese, and meat in his lap as he sat next to me. “Snack?” Grant shook his head. “You’d be surprised how much we can eat. These little ones use up a lot of energy.” Jenny sighed. “This maybe a stupid question…” Koltyn started “…but do you eat like, regular food?” He asked my new siblings.
“We feed every week, but we have human families that we feed on. They serve each vampire family.” Grifyn explained. “So, they’re slaves?” Cloie gasped putting her hand over her mouth. “No, they are cared for, they are compensated for their services. We provide them food, shelter, clothing, education and whatever else they require. The families that come to us are usually very poor, if at any point they wish to leave our service, they are free to go, we even provide them with a severance package of sorts.” Grace tensed a little as she explained. “When all this is over and you’re clear to travel, we hope that you will come and visit.” Grant offered. “I know that grandfather is very anxious to meet you. I wouldn’t be surprised if he showed up at some point.” Grace chuckled. “He’s not known for his patience. We would love to…” I winced “…as soon as these three decided to give me my body back.” Damien rubbed my belly and they started to relax. “Looks like he has a way them.” Grace smiled. “Yeah, he does, they are gonna be daddy’s babies.” I giggled staring down at Damien who was whispering to our pups. “You’re having triplets?” Grant asked. “Yup.” I smiled. “Triplets are awesome.” Grant snickered. “If I do say so myself.” “That’s rare for vamps.” Shadow mentioned. “Mom was just lucky. She said that our dad passed out when they found out.” They laughed. “If I hadn’t pushed a chair to Da, he would have passed out.” Jyden chuckled. “You would’ve also, I was expecting a single or twins, triplets never crossed my mind.” Damien grumbled. We laughed, talked, watched tv, ate and boy did I eat. I ended up falling into a food coma. “Babygirl, c’mon, let’s get you to bed.” Damien whispered. “Okay, night everybody.” I waved. “Night.” They said in unison. “Moses, you better be a gentleman to my sister.” I warned. He rolled his eyes at me and waved. Damien picked me up and carried me to our room.
Damien
By the time I got to our room, Reign was fast asleep, it has been an exhausting day. My Queen’s father is alive and well, she has a stepmother and four siblings. I can feel her happiness, sadness, anger, and confusion. With so much going on her stress level is rising. I’m worried about her and our pups. She’s still early in her pregnancy so anything could cause a miscarriage. It would break the both of us if anything happened to our pups. Once I got her settled, I took a quick shower. When I finally went to bed, she was in a deep sleep. I could hear her soft snores as she hugged her tummy in a protective manner. I lifted the blankets, only to find her in a pair of my boxers, her shirt lifted and cradled around the top of her tummy. I laid my hand on it, and I felt three little kicks. “Good night my little ones.” I whispered and pulled Reign to my chest and fell asleep with her wrapped in my arms.
“Damien?” “Yes, my love?” I kissed her temple. “I need to go pee but you’re hugging me too tight.” She giggled and squirmed. I loosened my grip and she darted to the bathroom, well, waddled as quickly as she could. “Aaahhh…these pups need to stop drop kicking my bladder.” She grunted. I chuckled, “You, okay? Yeah, I guess.” She sighed waddling out of the bathroom. “What I wouldn’t give to be a little taller, maybe then, I could see my feet and have a little more room for them to move around.” “Nah, you’re perfect the way you are.” I wrapped my arms around her waist and gently rubbed her belly. “This is just the beginning, we have, what? Another three months? She sighed. “At least, we have no record in the past of an Alpha having triplets in our pack, it’s been single or twin births.” “Lucky me.” She snorted. “C’mon, let’s get them fed before they start rebelling.” I guided her to the stairs, picked her up and carried her to the dining room. “When are you going to let me use the elevator?” She asked. “Uuhhh…never.” I simply said. “What? Why not?” She whined. “Because, what if it gets stuck with you in there?” “Ssssoooo, I’m supposed to carry three babies down how many flights of stairs?” She rolled her eyes at me. “Not to worry, I will be assigning more guards to you and the pups.” I told her. “You say that as if it’s no big deal.” She scowled at me.
“What’s no big deal?” Jen asked from behind us. “Damien assigning more guards after the babies are born and me not using the elevator anymore.” “Yeah! What’s up with that?!” The girls grumbled in unison. “If you numbnuts would let us, use the elevator then we could get more things done, come and hang out down here instead of being stuck upstairs all day.” Jaz grumbled. “Babe,” Koltyn started, “we don’t want to chance any of you getting stuck in the elevator.” He nuzzled Jaz but she pushed him away. “Oh please, we’re pregnant, not helpless and that doesn’t make us incapable of taking care of ourselves.” Ryott glared at Jyden. “We just want to keep you safe.” Noah sighed. “We know you want to protect us but at the same time…you’re smothering us.” Cloie bluntly. “We need you, all of you too relax.” Reign smiled softly. “I know you’re worried about us, but you are also…annoying us.” She snickered. “Do you have any idea what you’re asking. All of us here are high ranking males, our protective and possessive instincts are a whole lot stronger than of just any normal male.” Jyden said. “Duh, yes, we do know what we’re asking and y’all need to figure it out because we…” Reign motioned to all the females “…need a little more room to move around and would enjoy hanging out with members of our pack.” She sighed. All of us males grumbled. “Fine.” I growled. “We will try to relax but please still don’t use the elevator.” I begged. “If you or any of you aren’t around, we will use the elevator. I will use it when I want since I am bigger and waddle more than the others.” Reign countered wagging her finger at me. I threw my head back and closed my eyes. “Fine but you will have two guards with you at all times and will be in the elevator with you. If you get stuck, I don’t want you in there alone, you never know what can happen.” “You are being ridiculous, even if I do get stuck, it’s not like I’m in some strange building and it’s only like ten floors.” “Just ten floors, a lot can happen along ten floors.” Jyden growled. “Let’s calm down.” Shadow calmly said. “Reign needs to stay calm and all this back n forth crap is not good for her or any of them.” She turned to Shadow, “don’t think this doesn’t apply to you either fuzzball.” Jen snapped. Haha, she called him his least favorite nickname.
“What’s going on in here?” mom asked. “Our mates are rebelling.” Jyden scoffed. “Well, all of you have been a bit…overprotective.” She agreed with her daughters, I thought she loved her boys. “Boys, I understand how you feel but seems like all you’re doing is stressing your mates out more than necessary.” Dad chimed in, he agreed also, traitor! Good morning! Where’s my new big sister?! A little voice squealed running in with open arms. “Geneva Black! This is not a playground, do not run!” Apryl, Reign’s stepmom, scolded the little girl, who came to a quick stop bumping into one of her brothers. “But I want to see my new big sissy.” Geneva whined. “That doesn’t mean you can run around like a wild vampire!” Apryl raised an eyebrow at her. “But mom…” she whined “…don’t you but mom me.” “Yes, ma’am.” She lowered her head and shuffled on her feet from side to side. “Apryl, it’s okay, we have pups running around down here all day.” Mom chuckled. “Geneva, come here sweetheart.” Deklyn called to her, she shuffled over to him. He picked her up and walked over to me and Reign. “Tinkerbelle, this is your little sister, Geneva. Geneva, this is Reign, your big sister, and Alpha Queen.” He introduced. “And this is her beloved, Alpha King Damien.” He put her down and she bowed to me and then turned and looked up Reign. Reign and Geneva stared at each other for a minute, “so do you like to play tag?” Everybody frowned, Reign looked at me. “Uh…yeah.” Geneva answered with a little confusion. Reign nodded, I leaned down, tapped her shoulder, and whispered, “Tag, your it.” A few of the young pups raised their heads and smiled. “The game is back on!” They yelled with excitement spreading word like wildfire. “Some time ago, when Reign got here and after she was settled in, she spent a lotta time with the pups and started a game of tag, a never-ending game of tag.” I started to explain. “Have you seen the movie, Tag, the one about the childhood friends that have played for over twenty years? Well, the pups followed that, but the game has been on hold for a few months, just too much going on. Damien was the last one tagged but now…” Reign smiled “…you, Geneva are it so, you need to…when you’re ready…tag the next victim. The only rules, you don’t tag any female who is pregnant and please try not to scare any of the omegas or anyone for that matter.” Reign told her. “That is so awesome!” Geneva squealed. “First, we need to have breakfast,” Grams laughed, “then you can run off and decide who tag next.” A few pups approached us and Geneva. “Hi,” they said waving at her. “Hi,” she shyly responded hiding behind Reign’s legs. “What’s your name?” Teddy asked. She looked to Reign, and Reign nodded to her. “I’m Geneva Blackburn Black.” She said as she scooted closer to Reign. “Hello your majesties.” He bowed. “Hello Teddy. Teddy this is my little sister.” Reign introduced. “Would you show her around after breakfast?” He smiled wide, “Sure I will, make sure you stay with her Majesty so I can find you after we eat.” Geneva smiled and nodded yes.
“Excuse me your majesties, Queen Apryl, your army has arrived, and your General is asking to speak with you.” Spyder informed. “Spyder take him to my office, we will meet him there, then make sure all her warriors have housing and whatever they require.” Dad instructed. “Let them know that we will have a big celebration tonight to welcome them into the pack.” Mom Becca added. Deklyn bowed. “Thank you. Well, let’s go get started.” Gramps Ryan stood and motioned to my office. We made our way to my office. I could feel nerves starting to flow. “Babygirl, you need to calm down.” I whispered. “I know but…” she started. I pulled her into my arms, “Ssshhh…everything will be okay. We will have the help we need to rid ourselves of these thorns in our side.”
“Jakob.” Apryl and Deklyn greeted the vampire looking out the window as Apryl hugged him. “Brother, thank you for getting here so quickly. You said our new princess is in danger, so father dispatched us immediately.” He explained. “Oh, and he is demanding a picture of his new granddaughter, so please don’t keep him waiting.” He laughed looking around. “Where is she?” I felt her grip the back of my shirt. I have no idea why she is so shy all of a sudden. Then again, Jakob is just as tall as I am, pale skin and his fangs are slightly extended. She’s never had any contact with other supernatural’s. “I smell her, but I don’t see her.” He observed looking in my direction. “I am Alpha King Damien Ayres Hunt, and this is my Alpha Queen and your vampire princess, Reign Dyanera Rose Raven Black Hunt.” I introduced tugging her in front of me. I placed my arm around her waist to help calm her. Hi. She waved at him. Jakob stared at her and slowly smiled. He bowed and then kneeled in front of her. “Your Majesty, my Royal Highness, it is my honor to pledge my life and loyalty to you and your kingdom.” He vowed placing his fist over his heart. I took Reign’s hand in mine and extended my arm, and he grasped my forearm and I his. “We thank you for your pledge.” Reign smiled. “Well, now that that is settled, may I hug my niece?” Jakob asked opening his arms for her. She looked up at me, I nodded, and she slowly approached him. He embraced her, followed by Apryl, then Deklyn. Yeah, yeah, I know she doesn’t need my permission, it’s just something she does since she’s still getting accustomed with the different traditions, plus she’s being adorably shy. “Dek…Dad…” she sniffled hugging him tight. “Of course, Tinkerbelle.” He hugged her just as tight. She didn’t need to say anything, he already knew what she was going to say. “I’ve missed you so much daddy.” She sobbed. “I love you so much Tinkerbelle.” He held her close. “I’m so sorry, I should have been there for you.” He continued. “I’m so sorry too. I understand why you did it.” She sniffled. “Finding out that werewolves really existed was quite a surprise and then finding out I’m mated to one and then finding out that I am one.” She chuckled. “Nothing really surprises me anymore.” “That’s my Tinkerbelle.” He chuckled kissing her forehead. “Pops, why do you call her Tinkerbelle?” Grant asked. “When she was little, she was a little feisty spitfire not taking shit from anyone.” He chuckled. “Just like Tinkerbelle from Peter Pan?” Grace asked. “Exactly.” He laughed. “Well, I lost that feistiness for a while.” She frowned. “But you found it and you’re stronger for it now.” I told her.
KNOCK, KNOCK “Your majesties!” Spencer called sounding giddy. “Spencer, what’s wrong?” Reign asked tensing a little. “It seems that our pack and coven member have found their mates among each other.” He grinned. “How many?” Deklyn asked. “At least a dozen maybe more”. “Jakob, how many warriors did you bring?” Apryl asked. “Father had me bring three battalions, so around three to four hundred.” “Wow!” Reign smiled wide. “That’s a lot. That is only ¼ of our army, should we need more he will send more, your grandfather takes the safety of his family very seriously. He knows the one who wants to hurt you, so he wants to make sure you’re protected until we can rid this world of the vermin.” He said clenching his jaw. “You’re with child?” He asked calmly. “Yes. I am carrying triplets.” She rubbed her belly. “May I?” He asked, she nodded in agreement. He put his hand on her belly and smiled. “They are very strong.” “You’re telling me.” She giggled.
“Hey dad!” A female voice called out. “In here child.” He responded to her. “There you are.” She smiled at him. “Aleya, meet your cousin, Alpha Queen and Vampire Princess, Reign and her beloved mate Alpha King Damien Ayres Hunt.” Her eyes went wide and squealed. “Another girl!! It’s not like you don’t have me.” Grace huffed. “You know what I mean.” Aleya giggled. “MINE!” We heard a growl, looked up and Spencer had Aleya wrapped in his arms, his face buried in her neck. “MATE.” He whispered in her ear. “Whoa there handsome.” She giggled. “What do you mean mate? And who are you?” She looked at him and was smiling widely. Spencer didn’t have a chance to speak before Spyder burst into the office. “Where is she?” He moved closer to Spencer and Aleya, he inhaled deeply. “MATE.” He growled. “Uuhh…what the…” Aleya asked wide eyed. “Aleya, this is Spencer and Spyder Collins.” Reign introduced them. “Spencer, Spyder this is Aleya Blackburn. Queen Apryl’s niece and my cousin.” She wiggled her eyes up and down. Both males visibly tensed. “So, that means, we are now related?” Spyder asked with a frown. “Don’t sound so excited.” Reign huffed. “Owe!!” Spyder yelped. “What was that for?” He whined. Shadow had smacked his little brother upside the back of his head. “I didn’t mean anything bad.” He rubbed the back of his head.
“Will someone please tell me what just happened?” Jakob asked pinching the bridge of his nose. “Spencer and Spyder are twins and male twins usually share the same mate.” I explained. “What about female twins or male/female twins?” Grant asked. “They could share the same mate or have separate mates, but 95% of same sex twins share the same mate.” Dad interjected. “Lucky me.” Aleya chuckled, she was still sandwiched between Spyder and Spencer. “This has turned into an interesting morning.” Reign snorted. “I guess this just means that our Kingdoms really are meant to be bound together.” Deklyn commented. “Are there no other wolf/vampire mating's?” Reign asked. “Not that we know of.” Jakob said thinking. “Actually, wolves and vampires have never gotten along.” “Seems that everything has happened for a reason.” Apryl commented with a smile. “The Gods and Goddesses sure know how to bring people together, don’t they?” Gramps said with a smile. “That or they have a sick twisted and demented sense of humor.” Grace said making everyone laugh.
“Da, I think your pups are hungry again.” She rubbed her belly. “Then I guess we should get you and them fed.” I took her hand, and we made our way to the kitchen. “Please tell me you’re not going to eat like you did last night.” Grant scrunched his face. “That was just crazy!” Grifyn chuckled. “It wasn’t that bad.” Reign scowled at them. “But to answer question, no not exactly but maybe.” She smirked. “These little ones get very hungry and when they are hungry, they throw temper tantrums, and they are still in the womb!” She grunted as one of the kitchen staff brings in a plate for Reign and me. We share a plate of food; it shows the pack that my mate is equal to myself, and I always have her take the first bite which signifies for the rest of the pack to begin their meal.
