Chapter 61: Three Little Alpha's
Reign
“Babygirl, I’m here.” Damien said busting into the room. “I’m so sorry it took me so long.” He breathed hard. “Reign, sweetie, your dad asked if he could come in?” Ma said. “Yes, that would be great, I think we are going to need a couple of extra hands.” I said trying to catch my breath. “Damien, I’ll have your mom come in also.” Ma said. “Apryl no, you, and Deklyn stay. Reign is your daughter; you should be here with her when she delivers. My mom already said she wanted you and Deklyn in here. She will be with Jazlyn and Ryott when they go into labor he said with a smile. Jaz will need her mom, just like Reign needs her mom.” He smiled at her. “Thank you.” Ma sobbed and came back by my side and dad walked in. He stood next ma and smoothed my hair down. Ebbie waited about an hour to see if the baby repositioned itself, but it hadn’t turned enough. “Okay, this little one hasn’t turned so I need to turn the baby. I’m not going to lie; it will hurt so I’m going to give you another dose of pain medicine.” “But Ebbie...” I whimpered. “It’s okay, trust me, the pups will be just fine. I promise, they may be a little sleepier than normal, but they will be just fine.” She assured me. “You need it. It’s going to hurt. I have to turn the baby by manually turning it rubbing your stomach in the direction I need him or her to be in.” “Damien.” I whimpered. “Babygirl, let her do it, our pups are ready to join us.” He agreed with Ebbie. “Okay, let’s get this party started.” I huffed in and then out as another contraction ripped through me. “We are right here with you, Tinkerbelle.” Dad whispered as he held my hand under Apryl’s, they didn’t want me to break her hand like I did Grant. Ooopps, sorry. “Okay, Reign, take a deep breath and release slowly while I manipulate and turn the baby.” She explained as she started to rub my stomach pressing and turning the baby. “Aaahhhhhhhh...” I yelled out. I squeezed Damien’s hand and heard a crack, he switched hands while Sofia wrapped his broken hand so that it wouldn’t heal incorrectly, if it did, they would have to break it again to set it properly. “Okay deep breath and release.” Ebbie said as she turned the baby one more time. She used the ultrasound to check and see if the baby was in the right position. “Okay, baby is where she should be.” Damien and I looked over at her. “Yup, looks like your first born and future Alpha is your little female. Our first female Alpha.” She said with excitement. “Her brothers will be her second in command, we will train them as such.” Damien said with such seriousness and pride. “Babe, let’s talk about that when they are least what? Five, maybe even when they are ten.” I panted between contractions. He chuckled. “Yes, I’m sorry my love.” He kissed my temple. “How much longer Ebbie?” “Not too much longer now, you are almost fully dilated.” She smiled. “Hang in there a little longer Reign.” She whispered. “I’ll go let the rest of the family know what’s going on.” She said and walked out.
“Of all days for them to decide to make their appearance.” I huffed. “They want what they want.” Damien smirked. “Just like their daddy.” “But of course.” He grinned at me. I gritted my teeth again. “Breath through it baby, you got this. Just think, in a few hours our little ones will be here in our arms.” He encouraged me. “I don’t know if I can do this, one yeah okay but three.” I worried. “I don’t think I have the energy.” I was already tired and felt like I wanted to pass out and I haven’t even delivered one of them. “Maybe Ebbie can do a c-section.” “She said only if it’s an emergency and seeing as your little girl is in the right position, she won’t do a c-section.” Ma softly said. “I know it’s hard, trust me, I know.” She softly giggled. “Just rest as best as you can in between each contraction, and they will be here before you know it.” She gently caressed my hair and dad just smiled down at me. “Damien, Reign.” Aunt Ebbie called out. “How are you doing?” She asked quietly. “Ready for them be born.” I grunted as another contraction ripped through my womb. “3...2...1” Damien counted. “Now release the breath.” He wiped my forehead with a damp cloth. “Damien, your mom asked if she could pop her head in for just a few minutes. Tell you what,” dad said, “why don’t I let your mom come in for a little while. I will let the others know what’s going on, I’m sure they all have questions.” He suggested. “Thank you. I’m sure she would appreciate that.” Damien told him.
A few minutes later, she came walking in with a huge smile on her face. “The whole pack is excited to welcome your little ones.” She informed us. “How exciting, they will be here for their own first party.” “Uh, no way mom.” Damien shook his head. “They will not be attending any first party yet. They are barely going to be a day old, and you want them in front of a bunch of strangers?” He grunted. “But…” She pouted, it worked on her mate but not her pups. “No buts mom. It’s not gonna happen.” She looked at me. “I’m gonna have to agree with Damien on this one. I don’t even think I will have the energy to attend myself and I am not gonna leave my newborns alone so soon after being born.” I sighed. “Sorry mom but I hope you understand.” “Of course, I do. It didn’t hurt to suggest it.” She smiled and shrugged. “Would I at least be able to have your friend, Buzzy, take their pictures and put them next to yours.” “I think we can give you that.” I closed my eyes tight, breathing through another contraction. “That's if they ever decide to come out and grace us with their presence.” I breathed out. His mom kissed my forehead. “I will get your dad.” She walked to the door and turned back to me, “We love you Reign.” I smiled at her, and dad came rushing back into the room and stood next to the bed with ma on the other side. Damien was sitting behind me with me sitting in between his legs leaning with my back against his chest and his hands resting on my tummy.
“Okie dokie, let’s see if our little female is ready to join us so her brothers can follow suit.” Aunt Ebbie rubbed her hands together and put on some surgical gloves. “Sofia, she’s ready to push.” “Finally.” I grunted. “Here comes another one. Hold on Reign don’t push yet.” “Are you outta your mind! I have to push.” I yelped out. “Give me just a minute.” Ebbie pleaded. “Breath baby, breath though it.” Damien coached. “Okay, Reign, next contraction, I want you to push.” Aunt Ebbie instructed. “Aaaaaahhhhhhgggggg...” I screamed out. I felt the pressure of the baby pushing out, as each contraction ripped through me, I felt her move closer out. All I could hear was Damien, ma, dad, and Aunt Ebbie encouraging me to push. I pushed as hard as I could. I see the top of her head, just a couple more pushes Reign. “You can do this baby. PUSH!” Damien cooed. “Aawwwahhh, aawwwahhh.” Was all I heard. “She’s here!” Aunt Ebbie cried. “She’s beautiful.” She placed my daughter on my chest. “Aawwwahhh,” she whimpered softly. “It’s okay my sweet girl, momma’s here.” I whispered to her. Damien put his large hand on the back of her head and gently caressed it. He leaned in and placed a kiss on the top of her head and then placed a simple soft kiss on my lips. “Thank you, my love.” He said as a few tears fell from the corner of his eyes. “Reign, I need you to hand her to Apryl, we need to clean her up and get ready for baby number 2.” Aunt Ebbie said preparing for the next one. “I’m so tired.” “I know but we gotta do this.” “No, we don’t, they can stay in there as long as they want.” I grunted. Ebbie chuckled, “As much as we females would love for that to happen, they can’t. They have to join us in this world. Here comes another.” Ma prepared me for the next contraction. “Let’s get this going and get the next one out.” Ebbie encouraged. For the second time I pushed and breathed, pushed and breathed, pushed and breathed until our first little male was born. The sound of his little cry was music to my ears. “Aawwwahhh, aawwwahhh.” “Last time Reign.” Ebbie encouraged me. “No...I...can’t...I’m...” I trailed off as darkness was trying to take over. “Reign, stay awake!” Aunt Ebbie gently pinched my leg. “You have one more little one to bring into the world. He’s ready to join his sister and brother, don’t let him down.” She encouraged. I pushed and breathed, pushed and breathed, pushed and breathed until our last little male was born. The sound of his little cry made my heart swell with joy and love. “Aawwwahhh, aawwwahhh.”
“Okay, Reign, ready for your babies?” Ma smiled walking over with one baby, dad held one and Damien held our little girl. “So, do you have any names picked out?” Dad asked. “No.” I sighed. “We’ve barely even touched on any.” I admitted. “But Dya said that our little female is pistol, so we can use that as a nickname for now. Well, I guess you will have to start working on them.” “And I do like her nickname, she was arguing and fighting with us the whole time we were trying to clean her up.” Ma giggled, cooing at my little girl in her daddy's arms. “I don’t think I can think right now.” I snorted. “We don’t have to come up with them right now. Right now, all you need to do is hold our little ones.” Damien said placing one of our little girl in my arms and then ma placed our first little male down and then dad placed my second little male next his sister. Each of my sons were on each side of their sister with one of their little arms over her back, hugging her. “Such perfection.” Damien whispered.
Each of our babies, nuzzled closer to my chest, both little males found their way to my nipples and started to suckle. “Just like their daddy.” Damien smirked. I was way too tired to scold him. “Here you go daddy,” Aunt Ebbie handed Damien a bottle, “this is for your little girl. You will need to make sure to keep a schedule of their feedings. I think the best way would be to feed the boys first, since they were the first to latch on and then the next feeding let your little girl feed from both breasts with the boys being given bottles.” “But won’t that confuse them when they breast feed?” I asked squinting. “No, I give all my new mom’s these nipples to use,” she said holding up a bag of bottles, nipples, and pacifiers. “Only use these nipples and pacifiers. They help prevent the nipple confusion.” “Sounds complicated.” Damien commented. “When you have a single birth, it’s usually not a problem but multiple births, especially triplets it can cause issues when...why am I explaining to you? All you need to know is to use these when you feed them and use these pacifiers and no others.” Aunt Ebbie explained. “They are made from a mold of mum’s nipples.” “When did you do that?”
He frowned like he was thinking back to all our appointments. “The appointment you couldn’t make because of some meeting with the trolls.” I told him. “That was not fun at all, we had to air out the conference room for over a week to get their stink out.” He laughed. “Yeah. I think I can still smell them at times.” I gagged a little. “Anyway, use no other nipples or pacifiers.” Ebbie continued. “Okay, you got it.” He said bringing the bottle to our little girl’s mouth, as soon as he brushed her cheek, she started looking for the bottle, when Damien put the nipple on her lips, she latched on and started suckling.
“If she falls asleep you will need to rub her cheeks or gently tap her feet to get her to finish her bottle, same goes for the boys.” Ma suggested. “And they will fall asleep during their feedings.” She smiled. “Don’t we have to like burp them when they are done eating?” Damien asked. “Yup, put a cloth over your shoulder, gently place her on your shoulder and pat her back until she belches like you.” Dad laughed. “And trust me, they all will belched like a sailor, including this little princess.” Dad cooed. “She will probably be the worst. I believe it if she’s anything like her mom.” Damien chuckled. I glared at him and shook my head at him. “Damien, the rest of the family is asking if they can come in.” Aunt Ebbie told him. I handed Ma one of the boys so she could burp him, and I pulled my robe to cover me up. “Where are they?” Geneva squealed with excitement. “Sshh...not so loud.” Grace scolded. “Sorry.” Geneva whispered. “It’s okay, come here.” Dad told her and picked her up and placed her on the bed next to me. She peeked over and her eyes went wide. “He’s so little.” She rubbed her finger over his little nose. “May I hold him?” She timidly asks. I squint at her. “Sure, sit here next to me.” I told her scooting over a little. “Keep your legs out straight and make sure you support his little head.” Ma instructed her. “He’s squirmy and squishy.” She giggled. “Have you named them yet?” “No, we haven’t decided on any names yet.” I told her. “May I suggest some names?” Geneva asked. “Sure, we could all the help we can get.” Damien smiled. “Okay, so for the girl, how ‘bout Aspyn and for the boys, Gunner and Riftyn. They are different and I don’t think anyone else in the pack or coven have any of those names.” She thought to herself. Damien and I looked at each other, “I like them, how ‘bout you?” I asked him. He thought about it for a little bit. “Yeah, I like ‘em.” He smiled wide.
“Dad, Mom, please make the announcement, we have welcomed Princess Aspyn, future Alpha Queen and Prince’s Gunnar and Riftyn Rose Raven Hunt, future Royal Betas.” I’ll get Buzzy to take the pictures and have them ready to place at the entrance of the mansion.” Mom hurried out. “Buzzy?” Damien asked. “Yeah, well it’s better than you calling him buzzard.” I scoffed. “He doesn’t seem to mind.” Damien shrugged. “Damien Ayres Hunt! Do you call him buzzard to his face?!” I growled at him. Of course, I do. He doesn’t complain. He smirks. Hey, hey, hey, where are my little models? Buzz asked walking in. Damien quit calling him buzzard. I scolded. Buzz chuckled. “Busted, huh.” He smiled at me. “Don’t sweat it Reign. I know deep down, way deep down, he secretly loves me.” “In your dreams buzzard.” Damien mumbled. “Any who, where are the little Alphas?” “In their bassinets. Try not to wake them, please.” Damien warned. “Of course not, I can be as quiet as a mouse, remember I am an assassin.” He smirked and moved to the babies. He started to set up his equipment and an area where he could take the pictures. “So, do you want individuals or them as a group?” “Do both, we’ll need them anyway. Then in a few days when I am up to it, we will do a family portrait.” I told him. “Sounds good.” He kissed my cheek, Damien growled, and Buzz went to work as he chuckled. He loved teasing my mate.
“Hey ma, where are the others?” Now that things have calmed down a little, I realized that Jenny, Cloie, Jaz and Ryott hadn’t come in. “Well,” she smiled, “they’re all in labor.” She said excitedly. “What?” I yelped. “Labor?” “Yup, seems you started the ball rolling.” Dad said. “How long have they been in labor? How are they?” I started shooting out questions. “They are doing fine; they are moving along very well.” Ma assured me. “All you need to do is rest.” Ebbie said. “I guess they are really connected, aren’t they? What one does they all have to join in.” I snickered. “We’ll be moving you and the little ones to our room as soon as the staff is done getting all the rooms ready along with the nursery’s.” Damien softly said watching Buzz closely. “D, you need to relax.” I rubbed his arm. “Buzz is no danger to me, you, our pack and especially our little ones.” I assured him. “You sleep, they will be hungry again in a couple of hours.” He kissed my temple. I knew he trusted Buzz already, but he wasn’t going to admit it outright. “I am so tired; I don’t think I could sleep.” I rubbed my face. “Maybe when you’re in our own bed, and our pups are safely nestled in their bed in our room, you will be more comfortable.” He whispered. “Maybe.” I said blowing out a breath. “Can you go check on the girls, please.” “I’ll go.” Ma said. “I’ll also bring you a change of clothes.” “It’s okay ma, I already have some clothes for her.” Damien assured.
Yeah of course he had some clothes for me, his t-shirt and his boxers and joggers. That's what I usually wore when we are home relaxing. “Well, then I will go check on the rest of the little ones.” She smiled and scurried out of the room. “Reign, you have such photogenic kids, just like you. These pictures are going to melt even the coldest of hearts.” Buzz grinned. “Thanks, buzzy.” I yawned. “You get some rest; I am going to go print up these pictures and frame them up for your party, well really, their party.” He grinned and walked out. “Damien, sorry to interrupt but a few party guests have showed up early.” Moses told us. “What? They weren’t supposed to be here until tomorrow.” He grumbled. “Happy news!” Ma came bouncing in. “Jenny had twins not even 5 minutes ago, a boy first and then a girl.” “That is wonderful.” I cheered. “Wait, twins?” My eyes wide. “I thought she was having a single birth.” “Yup, looks like the second one was hiding the whole time.” Ma chuckled. “Buzzy is taking pictures and will bring them in to show you when he’s done.” She looked at us. “What’s the matter? Is there something wrong with the babies?” She started to panic. “No, no.” I assured her. “We need your help along with Grace, Aleya and dad.” “Of course, sweetie, what do you need.” She worried. “Some of the guests have arrived early, mom is in with Jazlyn and Ryott, and I am here with Reign.” Damien started. “Not to worry.” She assured. “We will take care of everything and make sure your guests are very well taken care of. Come along Moses, we have work to do. Grace, Aleya, you girls also.” And she quickly breezed outta the room. “Have fun.” I chuckled. “You owe me, big time.” Moses mumbled under his breath. “No one owes anyone anything Moses, we are family.” Ma scolded. I had to stifle my laugh. “Yes ma’am.” He slumped his shoulders. “I gotcha.” I linked him which made him smile.
“Reign.” Shadow called peeking in the door. “Hey Shadow! How is Jenny? How are the babies.” I babbled. I covered my mouth with my hands. “Oh, my Goddess! Twins!” “They are good.” He lightly laughed. “I wanted you to be the first to meet our son and daughter, Hylo and Sadie.” He said walking in with both little bundles. He looked so proud. “Oh Shadow, thank you.” I said as he handed me each baby one at a time. “They are so cute and beautiful. How’s Jen?” “She’s sleeping. Hylo was being difficult.” Of course, just like a male to be difficult.” I teased. He blew out a breath of laughter. “Ebbie said we should be able to head back to our room in a few hours.” “Yeah, I will be taking Reign and our pups to our room in a few minutes. Just waiting for the go ahead from the staff.” Damien told him. “Excuse me, Alpha.” One of the housekeepers called. “We are ready for her Majesty and their Royal Highnesses.” She smiled. “I’ll let you get them settled. We can meet up later when they all need to be fed.” Shadow laughed.
Damien hugged his friend and Shadow took his newborns back to his mate, their mom, my best friend.
