Chapter 62: Epilogue - Wolf Pups
Chapter 62: Wolf Pups
Reign
“Reign, babygirl, you need to open your eyes.” I heard Damien call. “It’s time for Aspyn’s feeding.” He said gently rubbing my arm to wake me up. “Already? You’ve been asleep for three hours.” He smiled. “Feels like I just fell asleep.” I said sitting up. “How are the others?” I asked as he placed our little girl in my arms. She was so small and light, but she knew exactly where to go. She quickly found my nipple and began to suckle. “They are all doing good. We now have eleven pups added to the family.” He told me with a sparkle in his eyes. “All of them born same day?” “Of course, they have to do everything together.” “We are certainly going to have our hands full every year with eleven birthdays.” “This is so crazy. Has this ever happened before? I kept saying they’re all connected to one another but this absolutely crazy.” I laughed. “Nope, never.” Grampa said popping the P as he walked in. “At least not in my lifetime.” He said picking up Riftyn to feed him while Damien fed Gunnar. Aspyn started wiggling and getting fussy. “What’s the matter baby?” I cooed at her. I looked down at her and saw little hairs starting to sprout from her little body. “Damien.” I called him a little scared. He looked over at me also. “Uuhh...the boys are sprouting hair.” He whispered. “So is Aspyn.” I said with wide eyes.
“They’re shifting.” I heard Dyanera whisper in my head. “What?! But they are too young, aren’t they, they’re not even a day old.” I said shaking my head. “Ayres said they are shifting and that you and Dyanera should shift.” Damien advised. “He’s right, you should shift.” Grampa agreed. “Okay.” I said. “Dya I am leaving this too you, please take care of our pups.” “Of course, I will.” With that assurance from her, I let her take over and shifted. As soon as she shifted Aspyn, Gunnar and Riftyn completed their shift. Damien and Grampa placed the boys on the bed, Aspyn crawled over to where her brothers were, and they all found a nipple and started suckling. “I guess they all wanted mumma’s milk.” Damien chuckled. “Damien maybe you should shift also, for comfort for Dyanera.” Grampa suggested. “I can’t leave...” he started. “Not to worry. I’ve already called for your grama and your mum’s. We will keep watch over all of you.” Grampa assured him. “What the...” mum said covering her mouth with surprise as she walked in. “I didn’t even know this was possible.” Grams stated. “I will have to do some research on this.” Grampa said smiling watching his first set of great granpups with so much pride. “What about the others, are their pups shifting?” I asked through mind link. “No.” Aunt Ebbie said walking in the room. “Awe, they are so adorable.” She cooed. “It must be something they needed so we will just let them do what they feel they need to do.” She said rubbing Gunnar’s furry little head. He let out a very small growl. “Well, he’s already getting a little feisty, isn’t he?” Grams laughed. “He’s like his daddy, he doesn’t like to be interrupted during feeding time.” I linked giving a wolfy grin. Aunt Ebbie laughed. “Well, seems like everything is under control. I will be back through after I check on the other girls.” She waved. “Should I mention this to them?” “No, not right now.” Mum said. “Let’s let everyone get settled and then we can sit and figure this out. Maybe by then grampa can figure something out.” “You got it.” Aunt Ebbie walked out closing the door behind her.
“Reign would you mind if I had your friend, Buzzy, come in and take a few pictures of the five you. This is a really amazing thing and I think it will be something for you to look back on.” Mum asked. “Not to worry, I will let him know not to tell anyone.” Dyanera looked over at Ayres, he nodded in agreement and then I nodded at mum. “Oh, thank you sweetie. I will be right back.” And she scurried out of the room. We laid on the bed with our pups until they finished eating and they were laying on their backs flaunting their fat little milk bellies. “How is this even possible?” I linked Damien. “I have no idea love, but they seem happy and healthy. They didn’t even seem to be affected by their shift.” He answered. “Maybe because they are still newborns. I’m just glad that didn’t seem to hurt during their shift.”
“Whoa, you weren’t kidding.” I heard Buzz comment. I rolled my eyes at him. “Yeah, yeah. Don’t you roll your eyes at me.” He snickered. “I’m just here to take come cute pictures of some cute little pups, literal pups.” He smiled. “I never knew you could shift as babies.” “Neither did we.” Mum told him with a shrug of her shoulders. “Well, leave it up to Reign to come up with something new.” He teased and Dyanera huffed at him. “Just kidding.” He said raising his hands in surrender. “Now, let’s get these pictures done so these little ones can rest.” He said setting up his equipment. After about two hours of cooing, eating, changing, and cleaning up, he was done with his pictures. “Okay, all done.” He rubbed his hands together. “I think I got some really good shots. Your mum is gonna love them.” He said with such confidence. “Just go and leave us.” Damien said walking out of the bathroom in a pair of shorts. “Dyanera needs to shift back and there is no way you are going to see MY girl naked.” Damien scolded. “I would never.” Buzz said bowing respectfully. “I will have these pictures ready for you tomorrow.” He promised as he gathered the rest of his equipment. “Come on little ones,” Damien said picking them up one by one and placing them on the floor, “let mumma shift.” He told them as he sat on the floor with them. “Okay Dya, let’s swap places.” I told her. “Reign, thank you. That was absolutely amazing. I hope we get to do it again.” She whispered. “I have a feeling that this is going to be like this for every feeding.” I chuckled. “That would be so great.” She said with excitement. “Yes, well for now, I need to see my little ones also.” I told her as she gave me back control of my body. I walked out of the bathroom wearing one of Damien’s t-shirts that fit me like a dress. “Dya really enjoyed those moments with them.” “Yeah, so did Ayres. He definitely wants to do it again.” “This is still so crazy.” “Yes, but we will figure it out and like Ebbie said, we will just let them do what they want and what they feel safe doing for now.” He rubbed his fingertip lightly across Riftyn’s furry little cheek.
“Buzz, you did a beautiful job with the portraits.” Mom gushed. “Thank you, anything for my favorite raindrop.” Damien glared at Buzz as he held his hands up in surrender. He seems to do that a lot when it comes to Damien. “Stay calm, your majesty, I see your Queen as a little sister, nothing more.” He assured my possessive and jealous mate. “Dbear, please.” I held my hand out to him. “We’ll leave you to rest. Bea and Apryl have been playing host to the Luna’s. Landon, Deklyn, and Mac have been tending to the Alpha’s and Duncan has been helping Ana in the kitchen.” Mom chuckled. “Jaxsyn and Jakob help wherever they can or sent. I still have to get more pictures of the other little ones. The Luna’s can’t seem to get enough of the pictures.” Buzz laughed. “I’ll be around, let me know if you need anything.” He bowed and left the room.
“I will send some breakfast up for you two. Reign, you and Dyanera need to keep your strength up if you are going to be shifting for every feeding.” Mom said rubbing the three little furballs spread out on their backs with their little paws up in the air. “Thank you, mum.” Damien hugged her. “I’ll have the table set up so all of you can sit together and eat.” She kissed my head, cooed at her granpups, and scurried out. I sighed and watched as Damien took a washcloth and whipped each of our pups gently, they had a little piddle accident. “I think we should go ahead and put a diaper on them even in their wolf form.” Damien frowned. “We could try, see what happens.” I told him gently getting up to help him. “Babygirl, I got this.” He said. “You need to rest.” “I can help.” I assured him. “You need to get them to shift back.” I lightly laughed. “Okay you three, you need shift back to your human baby form.” Damien told them. “There are a lot of people waiting to meet you. I promise you can show them your little wolves at a later time. SHIFT.” He ordered with his Alpha voice. They slowly started shifting and seemed so seamless for them. Slowly they shifted to their little human forms. After we bathed and changed them, we settled on the bed for a bit of bonding time. They were less than 24 hours old, but they were already wiggling around and dragging themselves to be closer to me and their daddy.
There was a knock on the door, “Excuse me, your majesties.” A voice called from behind the door. Damien walked over and opened it. “Good morning. Your breakfast is ready in the dining room.” The female said. “Thank you.” Damien told her as he walked over to me. “Come babygirl,” he held his hand out for me. “Wait, What’s your name?” I asked her as Damien helped me outta bed. “Layla, your majesty. I have been assigned as your house assistant. So, should you need anything, please don’t hesitate to let me know.” She said with a small smile and turned and left. Damien and I told her bye as we gathered our pups and went to the dining room. “Hey there!” Everyone greeted. “Hey!” We both said putting our little ones in the bassinets that have been set up next to the table. “How’s everyone feeling?” “Like I just delivered a mac truck.” Jenny grumbled. “More like a freight train.” Jaz wiggled in her seat. “Right there with ya.” Ryott and Cloie agreed. “When you deliver three of them, then you can complain.” I slightly scolded. They all chuckled. “Uh...NO THANK YOU.” Jenny said shaking her head. “Two was more than enough for me, even though I was only expecting one.” “I don’t know ‘bout you, but I’m starving.” Jaz said piling her plate. “Jen, are you and the babies, okay?” I asked still surprised. “Yeah, we are absolutely perfect.” She chirped biting down on some bacon. “The little stinker hid the whole time. Ebbie gave her a good talkin’ to.” She laughed. “But...” I looked at her.
“Ebbie...” Shadow started. “She ran some blood tests,” he rubbed the back of his neck, “turns out that I have Alpha blood and of course Spyder and Spencer.” He snorted. “Alpha blood?” Jyden repeated to himself. “Go figure.” Shadow snorted again as if he doesn’t believe it himself. “Grampa’s is looking into this.” He paused. “We were rogues until I was five, that’s when Spyder, Spencer and I ended up with these knuckleheads.” He explained. “Spyder and Spencer were two, my shadow ability had just emerged, and my wolf was talking to me. I couldn’t shift yet, but he could talk to me, if it wasn’t for him, we would’ve died out there.” He sighed lightly. Jenny moved to his lap and hugged her mate tight. “Shadow.” A deep male voice called out from a dark corner. Shadow stood and embraced two dark figures, it was Spyder and Spencer. “We felt your sadness, what’s wrong?” “Nothing little brothers.” He assured. “I was just explaining what Aunt Ebbie found out about us.” “Yeah, well, I have no need to find our parents.” Spyder growled. “They left us alone to die as far as I’m concerned, you, Jenny, the pups and their majesties and all those here are the only family I recognize.” He scowled with Spencer nodding in agreement. “What about us?” Jaz pouted. Spyder chuckled. “Duh, he said all of the people here.” Spencer rolled his eyes as Spyder continued to chuckle. I gasped lightly. “Babygirl, what’s wrong?” Damien cupped my check. “Nothing silly, it’s just I’ve never seen Spyder smile or laugh. You have such a beautiful smile.” I cooed at Spyder. “This why I don’t smile.” He frowned. “Spyder, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to bring up...” Shadow started. “Fuzzball, we all have had the same feelings as you. I understand.” I told him as he and Spyder grumbled at me, Spencer just rolled with it. “The day mum and dad found you three, you became our brothers, your past makes no difference to us.” Jyden told him. “Shadow, you’re my mate, my love, the father of my pups, you, Spyder and Spencer are my family. I love you all no matter who are.” She cupped his cheeks. “Plus, I loved you before I found out that you’re an Alpha. So, you know I’m not after your title.” She winked and he snorted at her comment.
“If you’re an Alpha, then the three of you need to up your training and move up in rank. Jyden and Koltyn are going to need help when they get back on the road.” Damien thought out loud. “No way.” Spyder said shaking his head and waving his hands. “I am more than happy with what I have on my plate. Especially now that Jen has become a mum.” Spyder teased. Jen glared at him. Spencer laughed at his twin. “And just what is that supposed to mean?” Jen narrowed her eyes at Spyder. “Nothing, nothing at all, it's just that you might forget a few things.” He teased. “I will kick your ass when the doc gives me the all clear if you keep this shit up.” She warned. We all chuckled at them.
“Let’s eat please before it turns into other feeding time.” Cloie said munching on fruit. Noah and Jonah were tending to her and their pups. “Hello.” We heard from the front door. “Hey Grace.” I greeted her and Aleya with a hug. Moses followed in behind them. “So, do you need anything?” Aleya asked walking over to Spyder and Spencer. They wrapped her in their arms and nuzzled each side of her neck and inhale. “Nope, we are all good.” Ryott said. “How’s the party?” Koltyn asked. “It’s actually going pretty good.” Moses grinned. “Yeah, all the granparents are gushing and showing off all the pictures that Buzz took.” Spencer smiled. “Speaking of…how are you two doing?” I asked Grace and Aleya. They blushed. “We are doing good.” Grace said with a big smile. “A little tired but good. Doc E is wanting to see us every week. Not sure how long our pregnancies will last. Especially me now that we know that not only the baby may be a shadow but also has alpha blood.” Aleya said scrunching her nose. “Leave it to us to figure these things out.” Damien chuckled. “Reign, it’s time to feed our pups.” Dyanera whispered. “Well, we need to excuse ourselves.” I said getting up. “Dyanera said it’s feeding time.” I picked up Aspyn and Damien picked up our boys. “We’ll see ya’ll later.” I told them as Damien, and I went to our room. As soon as I put my little girl on the bed Dyanera took over and shifted. She laid on her side as the triplets shifted and crawled over to find their favorite nipple to suckle. Yes, they each had their favorite nipple.
This was always the most relaxing time, no one bothered us, except for Aunt Ebbie or our mum’s. One of them would come in to help if Damien had a meeting but that wasn’t very often. He was always here, helping with their feedings, diaper changes, baths and bedtimes. Good thing about feeding was that Dyanera could shift and pick up the babies on her own. The triplets always knew when it was feeding time because they would shift on their own and start whimpering if we were running behind. Grampa did some research and found that there were two other Luna’s that had multiple births and shifted as new born’s. We were relieved to find out that I wasn’t the only one, even though it was centuries ago, and we still didn’t know why it happened.
Our babies would feed for about 30 minutes, Damien would take them in wolf pup form to the tub to clean them up. Once they were cleaned up, they shifted back to human form and cuddled up with each other for their nap. We still had a lot to figure out, but we would do it together and with our family. The Moon Goddess has something planned for us and our children, hopefully we can accomplish whatever she has planned for our family and keep our Kingdom and all the realms safe from any evil that is lurking out there. I also have to figure out how to balance my royal duties and my music career without endangering my children or Kingdom.
For now, I am going to spend a few months with my little ones and then I will figure things out and see what the future holds for my family and my three little ones.
