Chapter 36: The Uprising Part 2

***Damien***

Leaving Guinevere with Vladimir was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, letting him mark her was like I was giving away a peace of my soul. But it was something I had to do for the sake of Guinevere, I couldn’t take her with me with the unknowns that were taking place in the pack, and I couldn’t rip her away from her other mate. I knew if I forced Guinevere away from Vladimir she would’ve come willingly, but I also knew she would’ve forever felt like a part of her is missing.

Back when we first learned of the mate bond, I couldn’t wait until I found my mate To share such perfect chemistry with one person, it seemed almost unnatural, but we’d learned that our mates were created solely for us, that we were a matching pair. She was the piece of me that was missing.

Before I had met Guinevere I felt like I was living my life to the fullest. I was a strong Alpha, my pack was healthy, everyone admired me. But once I had met Guinevere I knew that I had only been following the path that was created for me, it was like my entire life I had been in a trance, but Guinevere had awoken me and pulled me from that trance. She had provided me with the light and the strength to live my own life. I couldn’t let my jealousy of Vladimir keep Guinevere from experiencing this completeness. I wanted Guinevere to feel whole too. Her entire life had been controlled by everyone but
Her, I couldn’t do that to her too, which is why I had to let Vladimir make her. Now Guinevere has a choice of her own.

Before I reached my pack territory I could hear the snarls of the wolves fighting amongst each other. I shifted control over to Leo and took off running towards the noise. I am not willing to let any of my wolves die tonight.

‘Alex, I am here. Where is my father?’ I mind link my beta.

‘In front of the pack house with the rest of the council. The pack warriors and I are holding them off. But we won’t be able to resist your fathers Alpha tone for long.’

‘Hold them off for a little longer. I’m on my way now.’

I force Leo to run as fast as he can, knowing that if my father forces the warriors to submit with his alpha tone that he will slaughter them all. We arrive at the pack house in less than five minutes, the normal journey from the start of the pack territory takes thirty minutes in wolf form. Exhausted from his run, Leo shifts back giving me control.

“Shift” I command the wolves with my Alpha tone. One by one all the wolves surrounding us shift into their human form. The last two to shift, being former Beta Caleb and my father.

“How dare you!” I growl at my father. “How dare you defy your Alpha, and try to take control over my lands. From this day hence forth, you’ll be known as a traitor and treated as such. But before I banish you, I need to show you something. I need to show you who took your true happiness away.”

My father whimpered under my alpha voice as he tried to fight the urge to submit to me.

“Boy, I am your father. The former Alpha of the Blue Moon pack, you have no authority over me.”

“THIS IS MY PACK NOW!” I growl at my father, strengthening the Alpha tone in my voice, everyone around us cowers even more.

‘Fredrick,’ I mind link my new Gamma, ‘Bring the prisoner Lazarus here. And bring the Oracle Wendy.’

‘Yes Alpha.’

Within minutes Lazarus and Wendy were being dragged up the stairs from the dungeon in chains and placed outside the pack house in front of my feet.

“Father, this is the Warlock Lazarus. He is the one who helped place the curse on you. He is the one who tricked you into hating your own best friend. Into believing that Rachel was your mate, and that Gregory was stealing her from you.”

“Why would a warlock do such a thing? It wouldn’t help him in anyway.” My father questioned confused on why Lazarus would set out to curse him.

“Because Father.” I growled at him, still pissed that he had the audacity to try and take my pack and to slander my mates name,” Lazarus wasn’t working alone. He was sought out by a member of the Blue Moon Pack. This member promised to release the band of the warlocks.”

“Who would do such a thing?” My father questioned.

“Why don’t you see for yourself, Father.” I turned to Wendy and Lazarus. “Wendy use your power and project this scene in front of the entire pack.”

Alex had found out while torturing Wendy that she was an Oracle and also a seer. She could detect the future, and also project the past. Wendy hadn’t meant to let her little secret slip, but in the midst of being torture she was struck with a glimpse of the future. She’d seen Jupiter arrive with a horde of the undead. She’d seen wolves falling to their deaths, dying instantly. She’d unknowingly projected her vision and Alex had witnessed the entire scene.

Wendy reached her hand out and touched Lazarus temple, her eyes opening wide, and turning a solid white color.

I was instantly hit with a vision and I knew that the entire pack was also seeing this vision. I could tell it was a distant memory because it was a bit foggy.

We were looking through Lazarus’ eyes and Beta Caleb who was Gamma at the time was requesting a way to defeat my father. Caleb wanted to take over and rule the pack. He thought my father was a weak Alpha, and that he could make the pack stronger. He just needed to get rid of my father and his chosen Beta, Robert.

“And what will I get in return if I help you wolf?” Lazarus had asked Caleb.

“I will lift the ban on warlocks. You will be free to enter into Wolf territory again.”

Lazarus seemed to think for a minute before answering Caleb. “I will help you in getting rid of the Chosen Beta Robert. It is up to you to finalize the defeat of Alpha Sam.”

And then the memory went blank. My father turned to Caleb with fury blazing in his eyes.

“I trusted you!” He growled at him. “I thought you were my friend. I thought you wanted what was good for the pack.”

Caleb looked around and realized he was surround by angry wolves. He turned to his son Alex for help. “Please son, help me.”

“You are no longer my father.” Alex glared at him fiercely. You are a traitor. You’ve betrayed your Alpha and your pack. And for that your deserve death. Alex hand rose and in the blink of an eye he’d thrown a knife right into his father’s chest, piercing him through the heart. Calebs eyes filled with blood before his body crumbled to the ground.

Alex then turned to me and took a knee.

“Alpha Damien, my family’s name has been ruined. I understand if I need to step down as your Beta. I will understand if we will now be listed as traitors.”

“Alex, my brother,” I motioned towards him. “Stand beside me. You’ve done more than enough for me to prove your worth. The actions of the father are not the actions of the son. There is nothing for me to forgive.”

Then I turned to my father. “ Your actions however are unforgivable. You’d dare form a coupe against your own son, because you don’t like who his mate is? You’re know better than Caleb.” I glared at him making him cower down even lower before continuing on. “Sam Valencia, former Alpha of the Blue Moon pack., I Damien Valencia, Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack, severe all ties with you. From this day hence forth you’re know considered a rouge and an enemy of the Blue Moon pack. If you venture onto pack territory again, you’ll be killed on sight.”

My father let out a heartbroken cry when he felt his link with the pack break.

“Carl,” I motioned to one of my warriors, “Take, Sam the Rouge, to the outskirts of the pack territory and leave him there.”

“Yes Alpha.” Carl said grabbing my father and dragging him towards the outer end of the pack.

I then turn to the council.

“And I have not forgotten about the treason of the council. You’re suppose to help aide your Alpha in his time of need. Not go against him. You seem to think I am crazy thinking Jupiter is coming here to destroy us all, well that is where you’re wrong. You think I am weak because I’ve taken Guinevere as my mate, again you’re wrong in your way of thinking. I have never been stronger.” I let my Alpha Aura completely take over.

The council cringed and got down on their hands and knees. “Please Alpha forgive us for our failures. We can see now that we were wrong in our beliefs.”

“From this moment hence forth the council is disbanded.” I let my voice soar throughout all of our pack territory so every wolf could hear. “ I, Alpha Damien Valencia have found my mate. Guinevere McKay, is my rightful mate chosen by the Moon Goddess, and she is also the Luna of the Blue Moon Pack. Her wolf, Sabrina, is the direct descendant of our Moon Goddess. And she is here to help us win our battle against the War God Jupiter. If any wolf doesn’t believe in the coming war, doesn’t want Guinevere to be their Luna, they can leave now. If you choose to defy us later. You will die.”

***Authors Note: Damien has officially declared Guinevere as his Luna, but is he to late?"***
