Chapter 17

Andriel's POV

"Get me the details, I don't want anything to be left behind"

"But Alpha, it was hard to trace them back. Since they don't hold any official identities, their whereabouts are hard to find" Fenriz replied as he placed the file on the desk "our team is after them. They are trying to run out of the territory but because of the forest part, it won't be easy for them to leave successfully "

"I want them alive and make it faster. It will be easier to locate since they are still under our clutches. I don't want any of them to be able to escape from us, do you understand not a single one should be free" I replied, gazing at the file.

He nodded "don't worry, even if they are hiding under the ground. They won't be able to get away. I have already left my two teams in search of them. But who do you think is behind all this mess? This kind of thing never happened before"

"I have a certain someone in my mind. But for now it's just a wild guess. We can't prove it if we don't have enough evidence and that's why I need those bastards to fall in my hands. I am not repeating myself again, no matter what I need them in my cell, captured " my voice was already hard as I say.

"I will get to work then" Fenriz nodded again. "This file contains some of their information. I will leave now" then he turned around and left.

I eyed the file again and opened it. The contents written on the paper was enough to prove my guess is right but it won't be enough for the pack meeting, to expose the culprit. I need to grab hold onto the solid proof to invade any questions in the meeting.

As I was thinking my phone started to buzz. The screen lit up, making me look at it. I sighed in heart when I saw dad's name flashing on the screen. Reluctantly I answered the call. There must be something that he called me.

"Dad-" before I could say a thing, dad barked from the other line.

"You brat. How dare you hide it from me?" Dad's cold voice rang in my ear. He sounded pissed.

"Dad, what are you talking about?"

"What am I talking about? Now I need to explain it word by word? Andriel since when have you become this muddle headed?"

I frowned "I really don't know what you are saying". How come his mood is so bad and he was throwing everything on me.

He sighed "don't pretend with me. Your pretentiousness might work with your mother but don't forget I am your father so don't dare to act. Now let's get to the point"

I rolled my eyes "dad can you please calm down first? I can't get you at all"

"How can I calm down when my own son is hiding such big news? Are you even planning to tell me that? How long do you want to hide such a big thing?"

"Dad-"

"When are you going to visit the main pack? I don't want your excuses anymore. I want you to be here as soon as possible "

Fuck. That's an order. Is he even using his Alpha tone? He knows I couldn't refuse that tone even if I wanted to.

"Dad, I have work here. You know-"

"As I said, I don't want any of your excuses young man. I need you to be here with your mate" he said using a harsher tone than earlier.

"How do-" I was surprised when he said mate.

"You think you can hide it from me? Humph! What do you think? As a father don't I have any right to know that my son got his mate? You know your mother and I have been waiting for you to find your mate yet you are not telling us a thing when you found one. Tell me Andriel, where is the justification?" Dad barked angrily.

"It's difficult dad," I sighed.

"Why is that? Does she have any defects in her?"

"What? No, of course not" I shook my head even though he couldn't see me. "What are you thinking dad? I don't meant it that way"

"Then why are you refusing? Do you want us, your parents, to die without seeing your mate?"

I rolled my eyes again. Dad could be dramatic sometimes. For a man like him, death is something that will run away. Mom will scold him if she finds him saying such a thing like a drama king.

"Nice joke dad, but it's not funny"

"I am not interested in you anymore. Your mother is excited to meet your girl. When are you planning to bring her here? She is even making future plans of seeing her grandkids" Dad informed.

I sighed, shaking my head. But the idea of having kids really warmed my heart. Fuck I really want her to get pregnant with our child. But the problem is something else "I am trying to settle everything dad so that she can adapt her new life"

"What do you mean?" I can feel him frowning deeply. "I have the feeling that you are about to say something which I don't like"

"Dad, she is a human"

"WHAT?" I pushed the phone away from me. Fuck dad's roar almost made me deaf.

"What did you say?" He asked again.

"Well, I said whatever you heard and it's true. She is human who had no idea about our existence"

"How come you found her? That too a human"

"I found her in a bar, umm...she was quite drunk that time"

"Looks like I am getting a friend to drink-"

"Don't even get there dad, it's not funny. My mate is not gonna share your drinking moment. I won't allow it so drop that wishful thinking of yours" I refused even before he could start.

"I am your father, have some respect," he said angrily.

I chuckled "I do, and you know that"

"Fine, I will find another one to accompany me to drink, humph. Don't take it long, your mother will kill me if you don't arrive here soon. As I said she is too excited, so you need to fulfill her dream. Do you get that?"

"I just wanted her to get used to her surroundings. I need to make her comfortable around us before I take her to see everyone in there. She is still reluctant" I tried to explain to him.

"Have you told her about our clan?"

"Yes"

"Good. She needs to know about it. You know the rules. It's better if she can adapt our clan life faster"

"You don't have any problem with her being human?"

"Do you?"

"Nope" I replied instantly.

"Then why should I? Though there are some rules that need to be followed, I guess she can do it. Human or not, she is your mate and she is fated to be bound with the pack. So I guess accepting her is no of a problem from this side"

I smiled "thanks dad. I am still hoping she won't freak out"

"Women are not weak. Whether it's werewolf or human they have the same personalities. Humans are more emotional so be ready for all the tantrums " he warned me.

"Thanks for the advice dad" I smiled.

"Oh, your mother is coming. I am hanging up. You better bring your mate here soon, I won't be calling you to give you reminder again"

"Okay"

"Honey whom you are talking to" I heard mom's voice in the background.

"It's Andriel, darling" dad replied as he hung up the call.

I sighed and placed the phone back on the table. Dad is really something. I never felt him as my father but more like a friend. He would understand me better than anyone and I am glad that I got such a wonderful man as my dad. I smiled thinking about it. His tone sounds like excited to meet my mate.

"Oh, what's happening around that makes you so happy?" Aldric strode inside.

"Nothing," I shrugged.

He smirked, "Tell me, are you thinking about hot moments with your mate?"

I glared at him "don't you have other things to do? Go and fuck some chicks"

He laughed "not interested. I am more interested in your story"

"Well, unfortunately you are not going to hear anything" I rolled my eyes. "You should work as a reporter"

"Come on buddy, don't hide it. I am your friend"

I looked at him "I was thinking to take Sandra in the main pack"

"Already? I mean she just came here you know"

I nodded "I told her about myself"

"Huh? You told her you are a werewolf?"

I nodded again.

"How did she react? He asked excitedly. His eyes focused on me completely.

"Well as expected she got scared. The funny thing is she thought I was a huge wild dog"

"Dog? Seriously? Aldric looked at me for a few moments. "what the-" Aldric laughed out suddenly. He slapped the desk laughing hard "hahaha you....mean dog....."

"Will you just shut up? It's not funny" I hissed.

"Sorry buddy but your mate is quite entertaining. I mean a huge wolf is being considered as a dog. Where is your Alpha prestige? She really does have that gut to compare you. Only she is capable of doing that"

I rolled my eyes. Bastard!

"Well what happened after that? I mean, did she accept the fact?" He asked, still grinning.

I shrugged "where can she go even if she doesn't want to? She is my mate and of course she have to stay with me whether it's in her liking or not"

Aldrich smirked "I guess she already accepted it even though it's kind of difficult for her. Looks like she has really something for you, huh"

I frowned at him "what do you mean but that something?"

"Well, you need to find it yourself, " he shrugged and gave an annoying smirk.
