Chapter 58

Andriel's POV

"What's the situation right now?" I asked as I walked towards the study.

"The informer said they traced the scent of the outsider roaming around the border, likely to be finding any loopholes to get in," Fenriz replied, matching my pace.

I nodded "they seemed to be in a rush. I guess they got the news of Alpha Winston being here"

"It's highly possible after all those clan leaders are strangers and we don't have any kind of communication nor any dispute. They are tracing Alpha Winston all the time. It was a good luck Alpha Winston made his way here before they find him in the forest"

"How many of them?"

"Around 5000"

"Exactly?"

"Possibly"

"I don't like flies roaming around my territory, especially with evil intentions. They are lurking around to harm my mate. And I am going to wring their heads from their body" I felt my body begin to shake with anger.

"Alpha please calm down. They hadn't invaded yet. It was a possible scenarios which could happen soon"

"I don't care, I need them to be out of my territory. Their dirty steps just ruined all the purity" I said and opened the door of study. Dad and Alpha Winston were already there waiting for me.

"You heard the news Andriel" dad said as soon as he saw me.

I nodded "yeah, just got it"

"I was expecting them to be fast but not like this. They are taking the matter faster than our planning" Alpha Winston commented but I can see the rage radiating in his eyes. It looked like he wanted to kill all those leaders.

"Isn't it good?" Dad replied to him "the faster they are the better we can finish the situation. Since they are lurking in our territory, it's time to show them what kind power Flaming Ire holds. They might be the destroyer of Red Ice but they will see the real power of Alpha clan"

"Julius, I don't know how to thank you for this. We never had any interaction or any kind of friendship in the past, but you are still engaging to help me when I don't have anyone"

"Who said we are not related? Your daughter is my son's mate. We can't ignore that big point here" dad smiled.

"Yes, yes" Alpha Winston nodded his head. "how can I forget that?"

"I have already prepared everything, I knew they would attack sooner than our expectations" I said to them. "Since they want war, we will give them a better one. I am splitting the army, one party will be here protecting the pack and others will go with us" I said, setting the map on the table.

"Andriel, are you planning to attack them?" Dad asked.

"We need to take the first chance dad. It's better this way. Catching them off-guard while they were still preparing, since they are so eager, I am willing to give the bigger blast"

"I agree with him" Alpha Winston nodded his head, "those clan leaders are clever, they hold secret weapons, so going with Andriel's plan to have them before they could get the chance is a better strategy"

"Then let's follow the way you want" dad nodded his head.

"We will set off tonight. The border reported to trace unfamiliar scents, they are already hiding to invade, I guess it will be better if we attack them tonight" I said and pointed to the map "this is the border, the only place they could hide themselves was the large bushes around the area. The river behind is not perfect to use as hiding place, the water is too deep, it will also drain lots of energy"

"Clan leaders won't think of hiding in there" Alpha Winston said. "Even if they planned well, they will do things which won't affect them too much. So the only way they will use is the bushes''

"Perfect, this will give us advantages" dad added.

"Fenriz, get ready to set off. We shouldn't be wasting time"

"Yes," Fenriz nodded, leaving the room.

"This time I want to see how they escape" Alpha Winston looked determined and so ready to snap their heads from their body.

Sandra's POV

"The war is finally happening" Luna Maeve sighed, "they are going for it"

"Those clan leaders, I never knew why they are so against us? What did Winston ever do to them? They are so angry, like we have snatched something precious from them. Their anger is unjustified without any proper reason" mom said angrily "they had already done enough. Aren't they still satisfied?" She clenched her fist.

"Mom please, calm down. Dad is preparing for the war, you can't get angry at this time. Besides, there is no need for a reason to hate someone. And those clan leaders are just like that" I tried to console her.

"Yes, Sandra is right. They are doing this because they think Alpha Winston's way of protecting his pack was unfair. He was not doing what they wanted which ignited their self-esteem to go against all morality" Luna Maeve spoke.

"I am just hoping that this time, it will be for good. It has been years since that deadly night. It stuck in my mind like a nightmare " mom sighed, her face filled with worry.

Luna Maeve patted her shoulder "don't worry, this time Alpha Winston is not alone. Julius and Andriel are with him with our pack members. They all have Power in hand which will definitely give them victory"

Mom nodded "you are right, but what can I do with this heart? It always gets worried" she half chuckled.

Luna Maeve smiled "let's go, they must be preparing to leave"

We all headed towards the hall. Andriel, dad and Alpha Julius were ready to set off. They were discussing something when we went there.

"You all are leaving now?" Luna Maeve asked.

"We have to finish this off to settle peace" Alpha Julius replied as he walked towards her.

"I believe this time everything will be fine" mom said to dad.

Dad nodded "I am not going to let you down or my daughter" he glanced towards me before setting his eyes on her again "do you believe me?"

"I have always had faith in you, I never stopped. How could you ask such nonsense?"

Dad chuckled "thank you, it has been hard on you"

"No, it has been hard on us," mom replied.

I smiled at them. They are so loving yet they stayed away to keep me safe. They had given such a big sacrifice for me. I couldn't help but feel so proud of them. I am glad I am their daughter. Symbol of their extraordinary love.

"Aren't you going to say something?" I looked at my mate who was waiting for me.

"I will say when you return safely"

He smiled "will there be rewards?"

"What do you want?" I asked, feeling suspicious of his words. He leaned down whispering in my ear.

"This time I want a baby to start our new life"

My eyes widened and instantly I blushed hard. This man, even at this time, has the heart to say such a thing?

"You..." I couldn't say more.

He smirked "well we have the deal"

"When did I agree?" I was shocked.

"You want it," he said, turning around. All I could do was blush.

They left after that and we wished them good luck. Even though we have faith in their strength, it's afterall a war. We couldn't underestimate nor could we feel less worry. I hope everything goes well.

"Help moon goddess, please bless us" Luna Maeve prayed.

"How will she bless in this situation Aunt?" We all turned to look at Lysithea. This girl always pops up everytime. I just don't understand how she travels back and forth from her pack to here.

"What are you saying, Lysithea?" Luna Maeve frowned.

Lysithea walked towards us "whatever is happening in the pack, will it happen if Sandra is not here? I am not accusing anyone but because of her Andriel have to involve himself in this trouble"

"Lysithea, do you know what you are saying? Don't forget she is Andriel's mate. And whatever happened is his responsibility too"

"Aunt, I know but what if something happens to him? Who knows those enemies, when Andriel didn't have any kind of dispute with them, he could have used another way to settle the matter. Involving in a war is this the best choice?" She argued.

"What are you trying to say?" I asked, stepping forward.

She looked at me "isn't it easy to understand? You are the reason behind all this. He has to go to war. The whole pack is under the cloud of war and no one knows what will happen next? Are you happy now?"

"Enough" Luna Maeve shouted "this is not a time to argue over unnecessary things. We have other things to do" her tone was hard and laced with coldness "Lysithea you don't have to judge over the matter of our pack. Andriel is sensible enough to know what he is doing and ready to take the responsibility. You shouldn't question his decision" she said, turning around and leaving the hall. Mom followed her out of the hall.

Lysithea and I looked at each other before I left her there walking out. I just don't want to waste time arguing with this woman.
