Chapter 66

Andriel's POV

The car was speeding as I anxiously tapped on the steering wheel. After hearing Sandra is in labor I couldn't rest my heart. I was not expecting her to deliver our baby at such a time. If I knew I would have fixed the timing with Alpha Kyro another day and would have stayed with her. Fuck! How come I missed it? Whether she has the pain or not, I should have stayed in the pack. This way I could assure her safety.

"We need to move faster," my wolf said.

"I am already flying in the air," I replied.

"But she is anxious, I can feel her pain. I couldn't hold back"

"Do you think I am happy here? She is our mate and of course I am anxious too. Don't sound like it's only you" I snapped. I stopped the car when I saw there was traffic congestion. I frowned at the sight. Few people were out of the car looking forward.

I pulled down the glass and asked the man who was next to my car, "excuse me, what's happening here?"

The man turned to look at me, "I heard there's an accident. A young man died on the spot. The cops are also there. I think it will take hours to clear the road"

Irritation filled my body. Fuck! I couldn't change the route because this is the only road to reach my pack. Alpha Kyro's pack was located in the Southern desert area. It was my biggest mistake to fix the meeting today. Getting more frustrated I hit the steering wheel hard. What the fucking situation is this?

"We couldn't wait for hours nor do we have the patience to wait for the roads to clear. Our mate is waiting" my wolf said again and I agreed. I couldn't wait here. I needed to do something.

"Since we can't use the car then let's take a run" he suggested suddenly. My eyes swapped towards the forest part.

"Let's go then buddy" I mumbled as I got out of the car. The man frowned at me.

"Sir, you need to wait a little longer," he said.

"That's the problem, I can't wait anymore. I don't have such time" I said as I closed the door.

"But the cops won't let you pass the road until the matter is settled"

"Who said I am going through the road?"

"What? then how-" his words left incomplete as I walked towards the forest. "Wait where are you going? Aren't you afraid to take that way at night time?" His expression was horrified.

I turned back smirking "thanks for the advice" then I turned around and ran towards the forest. As I ran forward I shifted in my wolf form letting him take over. He increased the speed faster than usual. Being the Alpha gives more advantages and I am glad with the skills I got. Alpha's runs faster than the normal wolves and the attack ability was stronger than others. When I reached the pack I heard a loud scream. My heart beat faster as I ran inside.

"Oh god, what are we going to do now?" Gina said anxiously.

"What's happening?" I asked as I moved towards them.

"Andriel, oh my god what happened to you?" Mom gasped. I was only wearing my pants. I shook my head.

"It's not time to discuss this mom. Tell me what's happening?"

"Sandra is in labor. That poor child tried to give birth but she couldn't. The doctors are trying to encourage her. If it takes longer than her life will be at risk" mom replied.

"I will check on her" I walk towards the door. When I walked inside I said the room was crowded. My mate was lying there with her eyes closed, with a tear stained face.

"Alpha" the doctors gasped. I was careless about their gaze as I moved towards my mate. I could see she was in great pain.

"Love?" I called out gently. She suddenly opened her eyes and looked at me. I see relief washed over her beautiful orbs. I hold her hand. "I am here"

"And-driel?" She sobbed.

"I am sorry, I am late, my love" I leaned down kissing her forehead.

"Luna, please try to push. If you don't then the baby's life will be at risk along with you. Please try to understand, it's already late" the doctors said with worry.

"No..." Sandra screamed.

"Baby you need to concentrate. You can do this, for us, for our child and our future" I whispered to her. She gripped my hand tightly. The force she used was kind of strong. I never felt such strength from her. She was holding my hand like her whole life depends on it.

"Ahmmm...." She groaned, squeezing her eyes.

"Another one Luna, take a deep breath and push" the doctors said again.

"Ah....." She screamed and breathed heavily. I can see blood running down her legs which made my heart tug.

"Ah ... I can see the head, it's coming out" the doctor exclaimed in surprise. "Luna just another push"

"Mmmmmm....." Sandra bit her lips as she pushed again and suddenly the cry of a baby filled the air.

"It's a healthy baby boy," the doctors said cheerfully. They placed the baby on her chest. Sandra weakly looked at the baby and smiled. But her eyes suddenly closed.

"What's happening?" I almost roared out.

"Alpha please don't worry, because of the tiredness, she passed out. We will clean the baby and arrange everything. She is fine" the doctor assured me.

I glanced at my mate then our son on her chest. I couldn't help but feel proud of them. Finally he is here.

"Where is my grandson?" Mom and Alessia rushed inside. They gasped when they saw my son on his mother's chest.

"Oh my god, he is so cute, I can't believe it" Alessia made a puppy look.

Mom wiped the corner of her eyes, "I am so happy, I don't know how to explain in words. If your dad hears it he will be happy. I will call him and tell him he has become a grandpa now" she laughed at the end.

"Oh my god, which means I have become an aunt" Alessia held her cheeks. "Am I getting older with the new title?"

I rolled her eyes. "You are already older"

"Don't joke" she glared at me, "I am feeling happy right now so don't ruin mood"

"What about Sandra? Is she fine?" Mom asked, looking worried.

I nodded as I glanced at my mate "she did a hard job. She is just resting"




Sandra's POV


When I woke up I heard noises. I blinked several times only to see a familiar ceiling. God, I felt my body was tired and exhausted. I don't know what happened but I knew I gave birth and then suddenly everything black out.

"Oh you are awake" Alessia's smiling face flashed in my view. "How are you feeling?"

"Tired," I replied.

"You need lots of rest Sandra. Because of the birth, your body is exhausted. I will call the doctors to check on you. My brother is worried since you aren't waking up"

"Wait.... where's the baby?"

She smiled, "don't worry, that handsome guy is with mom. I will tell everyone that you are awake. They are eagerly waiting for you" she walked out of the room.

God, I never knew giving birth to a child would be this hard. Now I understand why mom was desperate to keep me safe even when she knew she had to pay a huge price for it. The relation of child and mother is unexplainable and today since I have become a mother too, I finally understand this point.

"Sandra" mom's voice sounded. I looked up to see her holding my son in furry cloth. "I was so worried, here handle your son" she handed me my baby.

My heart exploded with happiness when I saw my tiny baby. He was sleeping in my arms. All the pain I went through, I felt like it's all worth it. Having him in my arms gives me the pleasure I couldn't explain in words. Because of him, I have become a mother today.

"He is cute" I poked her soft cheek.

Mom laughed "everyone fell in love with him, even the doctors couldn't help but holding him in their arms"

I chuckled "looks like he has already taken his father's charm". I looked up "where is he?"

"He will be here any minute-" her words couldn't be completed as I saw my mate walking in.

"Oh he is here" mom smiled, "I will leave now. I will make something for you. You must be exhausted" she nodded and left the room.

"Hello gorgeous," Andriel smiled.

"I look haggard" I shook my head.

"No, you are beautiful in my eyes and now you look more because holding our son like that"

His words made me smile "thank you"

He shook his head and walked towards me before sitting down and pulling me closer to him. "Thanks to you for giving me all the happiness in my life. Today I felt my whole being is completed"

"We made it together, Andriel. Without you, I couldn't have done it. Whatever it is, pain, laugh, happiness we did it together. We built this with our efforts and love" I whispered as I stared down at my sleeping sun.

"Yes we did it together and I will do it again and again," he added.

"What about his name? Have you thought?" I asked.

"What do you suggest? I can go with anything"

I smiled and pondered over it, " what about Conor Arlo Ruiz?"

"I like it," he nodded.

I grinned and looked at my baby, "welcome to the world Conor Arlo Ruiz"
