Chapter 59

Andriel's POV

"They are here," Fenriz whispered. Our gaze was fitted on the noisy sounds coming from afar. It was a dark night so the way was not clear as day yet, thanks to our special night seeing ability to make it easier.

"They are not intending to attack" dad said looking straight in the bushes.

"They are buying time," Alpha Winston replied. "They know Flaming Ire is not Red Ice. The security and people are different from their first encounter. They were here to see first before they charged forward. It's an old technique they always use to safeguard their position and get the advantage over winning"

"Whatever they are planning or not, we are already here to give them the reply they want. Their backing and planning won't stop me snapping their heads off their body. It has been years since I have engaged in any fight, this time I am feeling excited over this battle" I said.

"Andriel don't be in a rush. Even if you are hungry for their blood, you shouldn't forget a small mistake could lead the entire situation to another point. You have responsibility too, don't forget your mate is waiting in the pack" dad suggested.

I turned to give him a smirk "that's the reason I want to finish all this thing faster. I couldn't wait for them to attack dad, it was never the plan. Since We have already come this far, there had to be blood on the ground to prove the victory. I won't be going until it happens"

"Why are you always aggressive? If there's no fight, it would be better" he frowned.

"These kind of people who could destroy their own pack and rebel against their Alpha will never be a trustworthy. They are not someone who will understand the language of loyalty, what they need is a lesson they will never forget in this life. They will only understand the game of strength and that's what they will be getting this time"

"Andriel is right" before dad could say a word Alpha Winston interrupted him "those clan leaders are cruel bastards. They won't stop until they get what they want. Their rebellious hearts won't settle until they see my dead body. Now that they knew you are also engaged they want to destroy Flaming Ire too"

"They have to check if they have such ability " I clenched my jaw. Because of those bastards, my mate had to live a human life away from her own identity, not even knowing who her father is. Because of them, Luna Kristen had to raise her daughter alone without her mate. Even though she was Luna, she had to live the ordinary life of a human in poor status. A daughter to be separated from her father and Luna to live without her mate - those clan leaders are sinners where forgiveness is out of the world.

"Alpha there's a sound" Fenriz warned, "it felt like they are moving"

"They are moving?" Alpha Winston focused his eyes on the bushes.

"They are taking their first steps," dad said. We hide behind the tree. The border area was mostly forest so it gives more advantages.

"It's not time to wait like this. We have to take action" I said as my body raged, wanting to drink their blood.

"Andriel what are you thinking?" Dad asked.

"It's time for battle dad" I let out a loud growl, it was a warning and hint for declaring the battle. The rustling sound stopped suddenly followed by the growlings.

"Charge" I shouted without any warning. It's time to finally end the matter.

The battle started fiercely, those clan leaders brought their large troop which surrounded the area. But if they think their swarm could get the advantage they were planning then they will be surprised.

"Winston, how dare you show up after this year? You even hide your daughter. Do you think you can get away just like that?" One of the clan leaders shouted.

"Humph! Who do you think I am? You are the traitor of the pack. You conspired with enemies and rebelled against your own Alpha. Do you think you are loyal towards the low you bastards" Alpha Winston shouted back.

"You are not worthy of being our Alpha Winston. You don't have an heir to proceed to your throne, a daughter couldn't hold the pack together nor she could become the Alpha in future. The future of Red Ice was destined to be lost, we wanted to secure the Blue Amber '' another clan leader spoke.

"By betraying your own pack and stabbing on my back is how you show off your loyalty?" Alpha Winston snorted "don't make me laugh like that. Do you take me for a fool? A clown with no brain? You are not securing the Blue Amber yet you all wanted to snatch it in the name of securing. You are the traitor of the pack"

"Don't waste time by talking. Just hand is the Blue Amber and we will leave"

"Blue Amber is the priority of Red Ice and my responsibility. You traitors are not qualified enough to touch it" Alpha Winston barked angrily.

"Hell with you Winston, if you just gave what we want easily it would have been good for all yet since you choose blood over peace then let it be. This time along with you Flaming Ire will also drag down with you"

I growled interrupting their words, the growl rumbled like a thunder "shut up, I had enough of your nonsense. If you think you can take advantage of the situation because you brought your army then let's see if you can stick to it till the end"

Before they could get any chance to react I shifted in my Alpha wolf form and charged forward.



Sandra's POV

Daybreak after the long night. There was news that the war was fierce at the border and my heart started to beat faster. I hope Andriel, dad and Alpha Julius are fine. I know they are powerful and could defeat the enemies but I can't settle my restless heart at all. Until they returned safely I couldn't stand still without getting anxious.

"The war went on all night. I heard those clan leaders brought huge troops to fight" Luna Maeve said with worry.

"Those clan leaders are cruel, they only know how to draw blood, to satisfy their heart they could even commit anything going against the rules. They won't think much of it" mom uttered.

"I guess this is the reason why Red Ice faced their wrath"

Mom nodded at Luna Maeve, "right. I hope this time everything goes well. I couldn't stand another separation from my mate" her face saddened instantly. I walked to her and held her shoulder.

"Mom please, have faith in dad. He won't like it if you are this sad. Besides this time he is willing to take chances and settle everything here. He is not alone but Andriel and Alpha Julius are also there to help him. How can you feel weak like this?"

Mom nodded "I am sorry, I was drawn into emotion and got carried away"

"It's fine mom" I smiled "I am with you, everything will be fine"

She nodded again "yes, that's why I am at peace"

Suddenly Alessia ran inside looking horrified "mom, mom...."

"Alessia what happened? Why did you look so tense?" Luna Maeve frowned.

"It's not good, our pack is under attack " Alessia informed anxiously.

"What?" Luna Maeve got up from the couch as her eyes widened. "They are here too? How come it happened?"

"They broke the protection shield"

"Impossible" Luna Maeve looked angry. "Those traitors" she clenched her fist "how dare they try to destroy the peace of my pack?" She growled angrily as she walked towards the door.

"Mom" Alessia ran after her.

"This is not good" mom said "I need to help her, she couldn't handle everything by herself" mom got up.

"I will come with you" I said to her holding her hand.

"No, you will stay here" she refused.

"But how can I stay here when the pack is attacked by enemies?" I shook my head.

"You need to control your emotions. You have not fully gained your power. How do you think you will fight them? Besides those are merciless people, they won't see anything but will try to kill you the moment they see you. If anything happens to you then how do you think I will answer your father? You better stay here, I am going out" mom said and rushed towards the door.

Right, I still haven't shifted yet and haven't known my own wolf. Winning over Kayleigh was a coincidence but I couldn't risk it again. But how can I stay still in this room when others are fighting for the pack? In this way, how can I become the Luna of this pack? How will I handle the responsibility of the pack? Will Flaming Ire accept me, a weak Luna? No, I couldn't do that. Andriel is fighting there risking his life for my dad. And I couldn't stand here alone letting others fight. Suddenly I felt the pendant glowing again. I fixed my mind and ran towards the door. As I ran through the corridor I could hear the noises of fighting and screaming. I rushed towards the sound and out of the pack house only to see a huge fighting scene in the yard. Everyone in the pack engaged in fighting hard. Most of them already shifted in their wolf form.
