Chapter 54

Sandra's POV

"Sandra?" I was sitting on the grass as I heard mom's voice. I craned my head to see her figure approving towards my direction.

"Mom? You are here? I frowned.

"What are you doing here alone?" She smiled as she sat down beside me.

"I like to watch their training. '' My eyes drifted to the training field again. I saw that the pack members, mostly males, are training hard. And my mate was giving instructions on their actions. He was keeping an eye on them with a serious expression.

"You know your father also liked to train his people by himself. It was like his habit" mom whispered.

"Mom, you never said a word about him before. Now suddenly hearing his existence, I feel weird"

"I know, you must be feeling weird and it's natural, dear. It was hard but we made the decision because we wanted you to stay safe. I wanted to give you a good life. But it looks like it was not planned for you. Andriel afterall found you, isn't it? And as your mate and the Alpha of the pack he would never agree to let you go. He couldn't do that. I can see the determination in his eyes. He is such a possessive man" mom chuckled slightly. What can I say, she is right. My mate is utterly possessive.

"Do you meet with dad often?" I turned to look at her.

"No, we couldn't take the risk to meet or get you in trouble. We had time, during the full moon every month, he came to meet me" she smiled.

"Why on a full moon?" I frowned at her.

"Because at that time werewolves get stronger than usual. And an Alpha his power is stronger than normal days which is the reason the enemies don't dare to cross his path. You won't believe it now but you will soon. Once you get to know about everything" she smiled.

"So when's the next full moon?"

"In three days"

"Three days? But now that you are here how will you meet him?" My eyes widened.

"You don't have to worry my dear. Your father is strong and he will find me by any means" she replied giving the assurance.

"Is he that powerful?" I frowned and she laughed.

"I guess you will see him this time. It has been years, he has been watching you from afar, he was scared that if he showed up and others found you then it would lead to big trouble. So to avoid everything, he had to live in the shadows for years. But my love, just know your father loves you so much"

Living in the shadows? I can feel the pain in my chest. A father who had to stay away in order to save me from enemies and had to struggle in the sufferings, I can't imagine his pain.

"I really want to meet dad. I have never seen him and I always wanted to have a father. But now that I know I have a father I feel excited" I smiled.

"I know you are," mom smiled. "Sandra, aren't you angry?"

"Angry for what?" I frowned.

"For hiding such a big secret from you all these years? I know you always wanted to inquire about him, but I always ignored the topic. I really wanted to tell you everything from the start, since the day you started to know about your surroundings but I couldn't. I have seen our pack being destroyed, my people getting killed, blood and cries" she paused before sighing. "I wanted to take you out of this. You don't deserve to see all those sufferings and in order to keep you away you are neglected from your dad's love. Your father and I dreamt of giving you all the happiness of life but in the end with the demanding situation we couldn't" her eyes were glossy with tears and her emotions were failing to stay in control.

I pulled her in a hug "mom please you don't have to explain anything. Don't ever think I will blame you for anything. I am happy with the news that I have a dad now. No matter where he is, I love him just like I love you"

"I knew my daughter is smart but today I understand, you are matured enough to handle everything"

"Thanks mom, I guess I am leveling up for good?"

She chuckled and broke the hug "yes, for better" she smiled at me.

"You know what, I am so excited to meet dad now. I really want to see him, do I have any traces of him?"

"Yes, you are more like him. You got his eyes, hair, even his attitude" she chuckled.

"Really?" I giggled. "Then it's good. I am feeling proud of it"

"He will be too happy to see you. Actually more than happy"

I nodded "I am looking forward for it"

The noise from the training field had me turn my head. I saw more people joined again. There were a few men who were standing beside my mate. They looked like they were discussing something while other members continued to train. He is so organized and understanding. He knows what his men need and he is ready to give it to them. I really feel lucky to have him as my mate. Now after the great revelation I can feel myself being one of them.



Lysithea's POV



"What?" I frowned, not believing my own ears. "But dad, is it true?"

Dad shook his head "it's not confirmed yet. No one can say if it is but you can see the traces on Sandra don't you?"

"But that could be some coincidence. I mean how can we be sure about it?" I frowned.

"As I said it's not confirmed, I don't know how true it is. But still we have to be cautious about it. If she is what they said then it will be problematic"

I looked at dad and found how serious he is. I still couldn't believe it. How could this be happening? I thought Sandra was an ordinary human. But dad is saying she belongs to the wolf clan? But how could this be possible? And again she is quite different from others. Her hair was unnatural and she also defeated Sana in the battle. I first thought it was out of luck. But how could an ordinary human have such strength to fight a trained wolf out of luck? Is this even possible?

"What are you thinking?"

I looked at dad "a few days ago she even defeated Kayleigh in a fight. I thought it was because she got Kayleigh's weak point. Thinking about it now, I find it's more than complicated. Dad I think, we should investigate this matter and get clear evidence"

He nodded "it's not easy. This matter is sensitive. How about your progress?"

I shook my head "you know him dad. He is always like this. So distant and aloof. Now that his mate is here, how will he find any time to pay attention?"

"Lysithea, are you sure about it?" He frowned. "As your father, my concern about you is bigger than any other thing. But I also don't want you to get hurt. You know what I am talking about right?"

I nodded "yes dad, I know"

"Good, I know you have loved him since you were young but he is not your destined mate. And your fate is already decided by the moon goddess which is not changeable. I don't think I need to remind you that"

I nodded again.

"Then you must be cautious about the situation. You are my daughter and I won't stop you from doing what your heart desires but there's one thing I must say, every action has its consequences. You are a smart girl, I don't need to explain it in detail"

"I understand dad"

He looked at me "Lysithea, don't do something which will lead you to lifelong regrets. You can live alone but not with regrets" he said before walking out of the room.

I know he is concerned for me. But how can I rest my unsettled heart which is craving for the person I love. Why Sandra has to walk into our lives? He never gave me any chance to advance, now that his mate is here, how will I execute my plan? I was already embarrassed in front of him because of Jarek. No, I have to find a way, no matter what. There must be a way.
