Chapter 68

Sandra's POV

1 year later....

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY"

The scream echoed around the hall followed by clapping. My baby is a year old now. Mom made a cake for him in the morning. I must say the cake was beautiful with a three layer design which has a baby boy statue at top. The whole cake was decorated with flowers. Andriel and I held the knife and made Conor touch it to cut the cake.

"Happy birthday baby" I said as I fed him the cake. He licked tasting it. Looks like he liked the flavor.

"Let's give everyone the cake" mom said smiling while the maids came forward to cut the cake and distribute it to the guests.

Conor jumped happily in my arms and his father took him. "You must be tired holding him," he smiled.

To be honest my baby is not a chubby one but he does weigh a lot.

"I couldn't believe it's already been a year" I said and "our son is growing everyday"

Andriel smiled, "he will grow each passing second until he is eligible enough to take the pack responsibility. Once he take over my position, I will retire"

"Are you planning your old days ahead, husband?" I smirked.

"Who are you calling old darling?" He raised an eyebrow. "Even if only bones are left in me, I still could defeat thousands. Besides, do you want me to give you a demo of my energy since you are forgetting?"

I rolled my eyes, "you are too much"

"It's not my fault darling" he smirked at me.

"I am not talking to you" I huffed.

"Ah looks like someone is angry but you started it first. What do you say? And-" he stopped suddenly making me look at him. I followed his gaze to see a familiar figure walking towards us.

"Lysithea," I smiled.

"Happy birthday" she smiled and handed a gift box to me.

"The birthday boy is there" I pointed towards Andriel's arm.

She smiled, "I will wish him once he understands the meaning. Till then you receive his gifts"

"How are you?" I asked. I haven't seen her since the war time. She left the pack and never appeared again. But this time I sent an invitation and I was surprised she really came.

"I am good, mom and dad could come so I had to. Afterall I couldn't miss this special day"

I nodded "thank you for coming here Lysithea. Please enjoy the party"

She nodded and walked towards mom. Lysithea and I never had such a connection because the relationship we had at first was enmity. I don't know when and how it changed but I am glad. It's better to have a good relationship than engaging ourselves in baseless hate. I am relieved she finally took her eyes off my mate. She is understanding and smart and she proved it well enough. Suddenly Alessia appeared out of nowhere and took Conor with her.

"I never knew you two have such a good friendship" Andriel frowned at me.

"Isn't it better than glaring at each other whenever we meet? Besides, she is smart and knows how to win the situation. I wouldn't have known this fact if I hadn't witnessed it myself"

"Whatever it is, it's good you two are peaceful" he replied.

"I am happy too. I never thought my life will be settled down like this" I smiled at him, "you made it complete"

"No, you made me complete," he whispered. Andriel and I stared at each other.

"You two are going to look at each other all the time or are you going to entertain guests?" A mocking tone interrupted us. I turned to look only to find Aldric. But he wasn't alone this time but there's a woman beside him who was looking totally gorgeous. She must be his date for tonight.

"You have finally decided to show up" Andriel said, "I thought you be early yet looks like you got something to keep you busy"

Aldric laughed "you got me right. Let me introduce you first" he pulled the woman closer to him as he smiled at her, "she is Sloane, my mate"

"You mate?" Andriel asked, "finally you found your destined one"

Aldric nodded, "as I said before I really don't believe but" he looked at his mate, "she changed me. She showed me the truth and I can't ignore it. Though I couldn't say it was easy, I found my mate is damn stubborn. If I couldn't understand things at right time may be I would have lost her. " he shook his head "I couldn't afford to let that happen and I realized I fell hard for her"

"Though it's still hard for us to believe but since you brought Sloane here, we could believe you" Andriel said, "welcome to my pack Sloane"

The woman beside Aldric smiled, "thank you Alpha". She looked sweet and I already liked her. Who could have thought that Playboy Alpha would finally settle down?

"Thank you for coming here" I told her.

"Thank you for inviting me," she replied.

"Please enjoy the party" I said with a smile.

"Let me introduce you to other people darling" Aldric said and I watched them walking away.

I never thought Aldric would settle down with his mate. Whatever I heard from Alessia was really shocking. For a person like him to settle his heart and hold onto his mate is really unbelievable. But I am happy, at least they found their love. I turned to look at Andriel who was smiling at me. We don't need a word to express our happiness because we know it well enough, our feelings are connected, just like our heart.



Alessia's POV

"Are you really going?" I asked.

"Yes, mom and dad are leaving today. I haven't visited Red Ice since it was newly constructed. I really want to see the pack. Besides, they always visit me whenever they want to see me. Now I want to be with them, '' Sandra said, packing her clothes.

"Well, did Andriel agree?"

"Of course" she laughed, "I wouldn't be packing if he didn't. Bestdes it won't be long. I am going to stay there for 3 days. Your brother's patience will run out if I stay there for long"

I smiled at her. I know how possessive my brother is. Sometimes I really envy her for getting all happiness and her mate who loves her unconditionally. I also thought I could find a mate who will love me but in the end, it didn't happen. I had to reject him at the end. Even though he proposes for a lifetime of happiness, I couldn't find the heart to believe him. I couldn't stay with a man who would be eye fucking every woman he sees.

"Alessia" Sandra called, making me look at her. She smiled at me "why don't you come with me? You will be bored in the pack and if you accompany me, you will see news things and may be could enjoy a short trip"

I grinned, "I am on it". I had never seen Red Ice and I think it's better. It will distract my mind from thinking unnecessary things.

"Great, pack your cloths we are going in a an hour so hurry up and pack your clothes"

"Just give a few minutes" I winked at her, "I will be waiting for you outside" I yelled as I ran out of her room.

Soon I am done packing after changing my dress. I pulled my bag with me before walking out of the room. Sandra's parents came to attend Conor's birthday party. After staying two days here they are leaving. When I walked out of the mansion I found everyone was already near the car.

"Where are you going?" Andriel asked as he looked at me.

"Well, I thought to accompany your mate in her pack" I grinned.

He raised an eyebrow, "you are tagging along?"

"Why not? Besides, she invited me. How can I refuse her?"

"You just need a chance to escape"

I rolled my eyes "please keep your words to yourself. I don't want to ruin my mood because of you"

Luna Kristen laughed, "you can come whenever you want Alessia, we will always welcome you"

I grinned, "thank you Luna". I turned to smirk at Andriel "see?"

He just rolled his eyes without a word. Just then Sandra walked out of the mansion with her begs.

"What happened?" She frowned.

"Nothing, your mate was sad that you are leaving. He was about to cry a few moments ago" I told her.

"What?" Sandra frowned.

"Shut up Alessia" Andriel hissed and looked at her "don't give a damn to her words"

"Andriel why don't you come with me?"

"I will come to take you darling. I have meetings to attend here"

Sandra sighed then smiled, "okay, I will be waiting for you" she nodded.

"Then we will be leaving now. Hope to see you soon" Luna Kristen hugged mom. Sandra took Connor from his father and we settled in the car. Well I am excited now. I couldn't wait to reach Red Ice. Connor jumps in Sandra's arms, and looks like he is happy too.

"Looks like Conor is excited like me" I laughed.

"This man likes adventures," Sandra smiled.

I looked out of the window and saw the car passing the forest area. I hope this trip will be memorable.
