Chapter 50

Sandra's POV

"Mom" I smiled while hugging my mother. God, it has been quite a long time since I have seen her. And now, seeing her again and feeling her warmth made my heart flutter with happiness.

"My sweet dear," she said.

"I am so happy to see you again mom" I smiled and almost cried. Though we argue all the time, I can't really live without this woman in my life. I wasn't even able to get to know my dad. And I don't want to lose my mom too.

"How are you darling?" She asked, breaking our hug. She was glowing, looking more beautiful. I don't know how she does that but I always think she is prettier than me.

I giggled "I am fine mom. I see you enjoyed your great vacation, you're glowing"

She smiled "of course, it was the best vacation ever. I have seen so many places and tried delicious foods and even shopped many things. I will show you later, I have brought few things for you"

"Wow, you enjoyed so much mum, and ate all that delicious food alone" I gave her a look.

"You can't be jealous of me" she gasped "you are my own daughter "

I rolled my eyes "we are not gonna have this conversation mom, not here at least"

She frowned "that reminded me, we have something else to discuss. Tell me who was that man, fetching me from the airport and driving me here? And why are you here? At this scheduled place?"

Great, I knew she would ask. I don't know how to reply to her now. I could say that he is my boyfriend but she will again ask the reason why I am here, in his house instead of ours. I don't know what kind of excuse will be able to lead me out of this situation.

"Are you listening to me?"

"Huh? Uh... He is my boyfriend" I said in a hurry.

"Boyfriend?" Mom narrowed her eyes "how come I don't know you have a boyfriend now? You never had one before, and you suddenly got one during the time I went on vacation?"

"Yes, I mean he showed me how much he loves me so I couldn't say no to him" I pursed my lips.

Mom sighed "Sandra, I am your mother. I can see the hesitation on your face. A stranger brought me here saying he is your lover -"

"He said that?" I was surprised.

Mom nodded "of course, I didn't believe it at first but he said you are already living with me and he knows I will be returning today. And he will be taking me to you"

"What he said is true mom" I replied.

Mom gasped again "what? Since when did you start loving a man now? How can you do this and you haven't said a word about it on the phone. You young girl, I am still alive to take decision-"

"Mom" I interrupted her before she could blast "things are different from what you are thinking" I sighed "please hear me out first okay"

"What do you want to say?"

I was about to speak when Andriel entered the room. I frowned at him.

"Let me," he said before I could speak. Mom turned to look at him.

"Hello, let me introduce myself properly. I am Andriel Klaus Ruiz and I am your daughter's mate" he said directly, making me look at him in shock. What the hell is he trying to do? I looked at mom and she had a surprised face.

"Andriel, what are you doing?" I hissed. He just smiled at me without any reply.

"What did you say?" Mom asked.

"You heard right, she is my mate"

"You are Alpha?" Mom asked suddenly. My head snapped towards her in double shock. What the hell is happening? She knows that Alpha thing?

"Yes, I am the Alpha of this Flaming Ire Pack, and Sandra is going to be my Luna" he replied proudly. He didn't even hesitate at all. My eyes snapped at both figures with back and forth motion. What's happening here? They both know about the situation? But what's more shocking is mom knows this too?

"Mom?" I called trying to gain her attention.

"Sandra you know this all along?" Mom asked, looking at me. Her expression was worried which melted my heart in a second.

I nodded "he told me about it"

Mom sighed "I was not expecting this to happen" she mumbled to herself before lightly shaking her head.

I hold her hand "mom, how-how do you know all these? You seen so familiar with the situation"

"It's a long story dear" she sighed.

"Mom, you are hiding all these from me?" I was shocked, angry and hurt. She never told me about it. I was thinking of ways to explain this werewolf clan to her and make her understand and even accept Andriel. But it was not her who got the real surprise, instead it's me.

"Sandra, I am sorry. I had to hide all these because I have my own reason too. These things are sensitive and couldn't be known by others. There are so many things you are not aware of darling" mom said rubbing my hand.

I don't know what to say. The things I got to know today was something surprising. All these years mom is aware of this but she never uttered a single word. I could understand her problem, maybe there are things that needed to be hidden in the dark. But I want to know all of that, simply because may be one day all those dark secret will come after me hunting whole I have no fucking knowledge about it.

"Sandra, are you listening?" I jerked back from my own thoughts when I heard mom's voice again. I looked at her, she was already looking at me with a worried face.

"Yeah, I am," I sighed.

"Let's go to study. This place is not safe to discuss such matter" Andriel suggested.

"You are right" mom nodded "believe me darling, I had to hide all these, because it's for your safety"

"Mom, I understand. You don't have to explain it" I gave her a small smile to assure her. Though inside I am still anxious about the secret but I know I have to face it.

"Lets go" Andriel said and led us out of the room. The study was bigger than a bedroom. There's not much of a decoration except the bookshelves, table, a few potted plants and a couch set at the side. The large windows and the crystal chandelier hanging on the ceiling. Luna Maeve and Alessia were also there sitting on the couch while Alpha Julius was sitting on the chair. They looked like they knew we would be coming. So they know about the situation too except me.

"Oh you are here" Luna Maeve smiled. She always gives me that warm feeling whenever I see her. Mom and I sat on the couch while Andriel sat near his father. The atmosphere was thick until Alpha Julius decided to break the silence.

"Welcome to the pack Luna"

His words made me look at him. Luna? He didn't mean it to mom, did he?

"Thank you, Alpha," mom replied softly.

"I am Alpha Julius Klaus Ruiz and this is my wife Maeve and daughter Alessia. I guess you already met my son" Alpha Julius said with a thick voice.

"Yes of course. I am glad my daughter is here under your protection" mom nodded. If I hadn't known about this werewolf thing, I guess I would have fainted on the spot because of shock. All this happening around me was so shocking that I could hardly handle it.

"Luna, she is a part of our family now. Of course her protection is our responsibility. Besides, she is Andriel's mate and will be Luna one day. I hope you don't have any problem with it" Luna Maeve said with a smile.

"How can I interfere?" Mom asked "after all this is my daughter's happiness. I can see clearly how happy she is here"

"At first she didn't know about the wolf clan. You never told her?" Luna Maeve asked again.

Mom shook her head "I had to hide her to protect her. This is what I promised to her father. All these years I am trying to give her the ordinary life she needed, away from all those dark world" she sighed "but I guess I couldn't hide her from her own mate" she chuckled lightly at the end.

"She didn't felt the bond but I did" Andriel smiled "and I guess I had to kidnap her first to make her understand "

I glared at him. Does he need to explain every single thing like this? Couldn't he just stop it?

Mom turned to me "huh? Kidnap you?" She gave me the look of you and I am going to have a long chat after this.

I pursed my lips. Hell with my life. I had to recall all the scenery to retell the event to her. Because she wouldn't let me go until I did.

"Luna, the most important thing right now is the reason why you had to hide all these years? I guess you belong to the Red Ice Pack?" Alpha Julius said.

Mom nodded again "Alpha guessed it correctly, I am the Luna of of Red Ice Pack "

Her answer made me look at her. She is Luna, and we have a pack too?
