Chapter 259

ARIA
"We need to start getting ready to leave this place before he gets here, and trust me, he will get here," Sasha said, watching me closely.

I didn't know what to do at the moment, but I knew Sasha was right. I just couldn't imagine leaving all my friends now and my mother. I needed more time with them, just a little bit more time. I looked back at Sasha. "I know, just give me a bit more time. I can't just leave right now."

Before Sasha could respond, Lilah walked towards us with a huge smile on her face. She looked so happy and excited. "Oh my goodness, this place is so beautiful, and you won't believe it when I tell you there is more!"

I raised my eyebrows at her, a bit amused. "How did you even find us here all by yourself?" I asked her, noticing that she had actually come alone.

She widened her eyes. "It wasn't that hard. I just asked if anyone had seen a girl with white hair around. They don't have many of those around," she giggled.

I smiled at her as I shook my head, and I could see Sasha smile a little. It was hard not to; Lilah was full of character, she was innocent at heart and sweet. "Come on, Rita is giving everyone a tour. It's so interesting, and we get to see more," she said, grabbing my arm softly.

"Okay, okay, calm down, miss little adventurer," I laughed as she dragged me with her, and Sasha followed behind.

We arrived in a hall where a lady and a man had started giving the tour. My mom smiled at me as she spotted me with Lilah and Sasha. She was in front with Jack; they almost looked like our leaders, which was weird. My mother was never the one to be part of politics or anything that had to do with that line of work.

"I am glad that everyone is here. I believe that it is fate that brought all of us together. My name is Rita, and this is my older brother, Thomas," she introduced herself and her brother. She had a kind smile; it made me a little comfortable, but her brother seemed a little uptight with an expressionless face. "Welcome to Westeroz, your new home. Westeroz has so much history, also known as the Dragon's Den. A kingdom where the six dragons ruled for centuries before they were hunted down one by one as human savages fought to rule every kingdom on the planet," she explained.

I moved closer as I heard the words dragons, ruled, humans. She knew, and dragons did exist before. Thomas shook his head as they moved past amazing statues of dragons; some looked like they were made of pure gold ... maybe they were; this place looked rich and important. "It is believed that dragons once ruled, but that is history now. We are unfortunate that this generation does not have our great rulers anymore. All because humans were too greedy; we tend to want everything all to ourselves."

We then got to the middle of the room where there were rocks shaped into six eggs. "Oh, don't mind Thomas; he can be very pessimistic. There is a saying in the book of the ancient Dragonian. It says the beings that breathe fire and ice will rule again. They will rise from the ashes, and the order of the first world will be restored."

"I wouldn't be surprised if Goblins exist too, talking fish, and God knows what else," Amara said, walking next to me.

Lilah rolled her eyes. "We need to take these things seriously; we were literally attacked by half-men, half-wolves. Pay attention," she sighed. "If Dragons are what kept this kingdom alive for so long, it makes sense why it looks so...different."

"It's best we listen to our leaders and avoid talking about half-men, half-wolves unless you want to sound batshit crazy," Tyler said, and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"If they believe in dragons, do you really think they do not know what is going on out there?" I asked him.

He scoffed, "Does Thomas over there look like he would believe in talking dogs?"

"They are not dogs!" I whispered harshly at him as I watched Thomas. He looked bored, as if this whole tour and history lesson were nothing but a waste of time. Something he just had to do, probably because his sister took these things much more seriously. I sighed as I walked past Tyler; I didn't need his negativity right now.

Lilah held my hand. "It's okay. Tyler is a dick, a dumb little dick."

I laughed a little. "An annoying one. I like this place... you like it too, right?"

"Are you kidding? I love it. This is definitely home now. It's amazing, and I think I like Rita," Lilah said as she listened to Rita talk more about the ancient book of Dragons. It's almost as if they worshipped Dragons.

"The last Lord of the Dragons was killed trying to defend this kingdom. Him and his best warriors were killed by the savages. Savages that worked with warlords who practiced black magic," Rita showed us a painting of the Dragon Lord. He had white hair just like me. I widened my eyes, and I felt Rita watching me. It's as if she could see something in me. She smiled at me as she continued, "The next ruler of Dragons would be the mother of Dragons, Argon's tenth daughter. Our ancestors died so that she would rise. Our queen," Rita said proudly.

I wanted to dig myself into a deep pit. It felt like she was talking about me, but that couldn't be right. I had a mate, and I already had people that believed I was their Luna-their queen. "No," I said under my breath before walking away. Sasha followed me, and I could feel my mother watching me. I paced outside in the garden. This wasn't true; I was just overthinking.

"Luna," Sasha started, and I snapped my eyes at her.

"Tell me this is not what I am thinking... or maybe I'm just losing my mind."

Sasha sighed; she had that look, the 'I am afraid it's all true' look. "That is why I agreed to bring you here, Aria. You had to know your true history; it is not fair that he wanted you to not know about who you truly are."

He knew... he knew and he wanted to keep me hidden from all of it. "No, but why... am I even really his mate or that is also a lie?"

"You are his mate, you are our Luna, but you are also their... Queen. You had to know, and you have to decide where you want to be, but it will not be easy. He won't let you stay here," she said.

This was crazy, this wasn't right. I couldn't be a leader of two worlds. Two fucking different worlds.
