Chapter 70
JAKE
I couldn't stop pacing and for one reason. I have never felt so useless before in my whole entire life. I felt as if all of this was for nothing,the pack ,the power -everything.It felt so painful losing the mother of my unborn child because it meant I didn't have them both close to me.
I quickly grabbed my phone and dialed my betas number. Yes, I could just mind link him but that wasn't necessary.
"Alpha" Chris responded
I breathed out trying to be calm "Have you gotten any leads yet?"
"No not yet,we are still searching" Chris said and my heart dropped because that is definitely not the answer I wanted to hear.
My hands were shaking as I tightened the grip on my phone "By now something bad could have already happened,search faster! Turn everything upside down I don't care!"
"Yes Alpha" Chris replied calmly. I knew he probably wanted to tell his friend to calm down that everything was okay but he knew me better than that. I didn't want to hear all those words because I knew reality better.
Before I could hang up the phone there was a soft breeze brushing my skin softly and softly it brushed my ears. It was like someone was whispering in my ears. I knew what this was,witches.
"Alpha?" Chris said with a bit of concern.
I growled,he was distracting me " I will call you back,do your job" I said hanging up.
I immediately went back to trying to figure out what they were saying. All I had to do was listen carefully.Everything being said was sort of like a riddle.
"Find me close...near...close...find me"
It was her,it was her voice and suddenly it was as if I could feel her. My blood was rushing through my body as if I had run a marathon. I didn't wait to listen for more , I knew where she was and I was going to find her then kill whoever touched a hair on her body.

"Why is he taking so long to find me? Are you sure this worked?" I asked pacing back and forth. I was so agitated,there were too many thoughts going through my mind like what if this was a whole lie and I didn't actually do any spell to help my mate to look for me.
Shawn held both my arms softly and suddenly I felt his energy seeping through my skin. I felt calm and at peace. He smiled at me once he saw that I was calm "Relax the spell worked and you know how I know that? I can sense the Alpha and he is about to enter this place any second from now"
After he said this there was a sudden knock on the door and my eyes widened in excitement. I have never felt so happy just to see Jake. I had missed him so much. These were also my people but I would forever feel safe only when I'm closer to my mate.I watched as Tim went to the door.
Right after a few seconds there was a loud bang on the wall as if someone has had crushed into the wall. We all rushed to see what was happening and heart raced. Jake had thrown Tim to the wall and he was about to attack him again. He only stopped when he felt my presence.
I quickly ran into his arms and he hugged me tightly. "Are you okay?"he said breathing in my scent and I nodded my head.He was trying to calm himself down.
"Yes I'm okay" I said embracing him. He breathed in my scent again before kissing my forehead . He let me go and moved in front of me covering me from Shawn and Selena who were helping a wounded Tim up.
He growled loudly "witches,"he spat the word out in disgust "you dared to take my mate away from me. I must say that is quite some stupid bravery"he said walking towards them slowly like a real predator .
"She is our leader and it was our duty to protect her even if it meant making hard decisions"Selena answered him with a straight face .
"Protect her from what? Her mate...really"he scoffed sizing them up
Shawn stepped in front of Selena as a sign of protection "No from the people you live with. You have traitors within your pack that you don't even know about. We are from her coven,we are basically her family and we have been watching her ever since you brought her here.She is not safe"
Within a second Jake had Shawn by his neck and he was choking the life out of him "well you made the wrong move taking what's mine. Whatever reason you had is invalid to me and my wolf."
In a second wolves had entered the room and they were being led by the beta Chris. Before Selena could come up with a spell to protect herself and her people she was grabbed by one of Jake's men. I knew they had kidnapped me which was bad ofcourse but these were still my people and I was going to need them beside me at the house. At least I wouldn't be alone and I could trust them.
I ran towards Jake "Please let them go, I need them by my side. They are my people and I can trust them. They can protect me at the house and you will need a few witches by your side"
He glared at Shawn and glanced at me before dropping Shawn to the ground . "Fine I will spare your lives...for now but you will be under my control and I expect you to protect your leader. It is your job after all ,is it not,"he said staring at them
"As long as she is with us then we have no problem protecting our leader." Selena said with confidence and her head held high
"Great,take them away" Jake commanded his men.
