Chapter 72
I was going to have twins! Twins, my heart was beating so fast I fell like throwing up. How was this even possible, this was a lot to take in. I looked at the doctor again and breathed in deeply "But when I had my last check up the doctor never said anything about having twins"
She smiled at me "Sometimes these things are really hard to tell and the twin can take a bit of time to show. Yours just took a bit of time to show but you are definitely carrying two bundles of joy"
Fatima suddenly squealed "Oh my Gosh! This is just amazing, two little babies running around I can already see it happening!"
I smiled at her "Calm down I don't want the whole world to know I am having twins its already risky as it is honestly"
"Yes Luna you are absolutely right about that. I would suggest you keep this to yourself for now" the doctor said as she helped me get up on my feet again.
"Yeah ,so you are not going to tell Jake about this as well?" Fatima asked
I frowned, he deserved to know about something as important as this obviously "I will tell him as soon as possible but right now he is a bit busy."
She nodded her head "okay lets get going now, maybe meet those witches"
"Thank you doctor, I will see you soon" I said giving her a smile that she immediately returned.
We walked for a few minutes until we were outside ,the witches were given a different room that was outside in the courtyard next to a rose garden. It was apparently good for them to be out there close to nature and plants . They did not mind being located there however I know why Jake placed them there, he wanted them sleeping as far away from me as possible. I did not fight him on that, I knew he was just worried. There was something about Jake I was beginning to figure out, most of the things he did was to protect me and his babies well for now he thought it was one baby but still he only wanted to ensure our safety. I just wish he would start opening up about these things with me instead of doing everything his way on his own then giving me the wrong impression about him.
"what are you thinking about? We are here," Fatima said holding my arm and stopping me from taking more steps forward.
I widened my eyes at the realization "Oh I was in a blank space really...come on lets go"
We knocked on the door and Shawn opened the door, somehow his aura just screamed home to me. It was so welcoming and oddly safe so I walked in with a huge smile on my face. The room we entered was fairly large with two couches and a few chairs. Selena was sitting on a chair reading a book that had all her attention she did not even notice us walking towards her. "How are you?" Shawn asked as he walked with us
I smiled at him "I feel great to be honest, how have they been treating you here?"
He frowned a little and I quickly looked at him with concern showing on my face. He shook his head "We are doing just fine don't worry about us Priscilla. It is just that we are not home, this is not our safe haven so of course we feel a bit out of place"
"But we are here for you and that is all that matters" Selena finished off cutting Shawn off before he could finish his sentence.
I felt a bit guilty about all of this, I remembered how it felt to be held captive at a place where I felt unsafe. At a place that wasn't home and Jake wasn't there or Fatima. I was all alone but at least they had each other and they felt the urge to protect me. They felt like I was their family, their leader and so I was going to keep them safe as their leader .We would protect each other and I would find a way to make this place feel like home to them.
I nodded my head as I took a sit on the couch opposite Selena, I had a bit of trouble sitting as the weight of my fast growing belly felt like I was carrying two pumpkins there. "So I am here to talk about the threat you said you knew was right here on my territory" I said bluntly. There was no need to beat around the bush when it came to my safety and my unborn babies safety.
"wow you are already calling this your territory, you already have a home Hidden one" Selena said shaking her head in disbelief.
I wanted to face palm so badly ,she knew what I meant "There is no reason to be so dramatic Selena, I have two homes and there is nothing wrong with that. right now there is a threat to my life and my unborn bab..." I quickly stopped myself before I could spill out the news, I cleared my throat softly before continuing "child. We need to figure out what or who that threat is fast"
Selena sighed "Sure, we can sense the threat very close to you but we cannot pin point where exactly they are because something is blocking us from doing so. Its like..."
"magic" Shawn said folding arms
"Another witch, but I'm sure Jake would have noticed it if there was another witch in his territory" Fatima said scrunching up her eyebrows.
I nodded my head "yeah ,this doesn't make any sense"
"Witches can hide themselves well if they want to stay hidden however I never said the witch is the one undercover in this territory. It could also be another werewolf trying to stay hidden before they make their move" Selena said
I felt my heart drop, this was getting more complicated by the day "So how do we find this person or whatever they are?"
"Well you are the only one powerful enough here to actually locate them, you are the Queen of uncovering Hidden truths but I am not sure if it safe in your state. you might need extra energy to draw from" she explained and I frowned.
"I am sure I can do this ,If it gets too much I will stop immediately" It is not as if I was going to risk the health of my babies ,if it got too much I wasn't going to hesitate to stop.
