Chapter 71
"You are never leaving my side ever again...not even for a second" he said sniffing my neck for the longest minute. It felt so good I just wanted to drown in that moment forever. His warmth,his touch it just felt so perfect. Yes, I had missed him so much it was disgusting-in a good way.
I nodded my head,he could do any shit at this moment and I would just agree. I hugged him closer and an involuntary moan escaped from my mouth. I guess he loved that because he immediately carried me off the floor and I yelped. I knew what was coming next the moment his lips met mine and the moment my back met the soft touch of the mattress but I didn't mind. I needed this and I didn't care anymore - I just needed my mate at the moment.
I groaned as I felt the sunlight fighting a war with my eyelids ,I could feel the light sipping in through my eyelids and it hurt so I faced the other direction and I hid my face on his chest. He smelt lovely but I knew not to get too comfortable after all this was ...Jake and I knew better. The guy was basically a nightmare to deal with most of the time,a girl had to be strong for this guy.
"Good morning love" he smiled at me. How could someone look so perfect in the morning.
I smiled back at him "good morning"
He held my huge belly "how are you feeling?" He asked softly with a bit of concern laced in his voice-it was kind of sweet .
"I'm feeling perfectly fine " I told him with a smile on my face
"That's good,I was so worried that something bad would happen to you and the baby-our baby" he said honestly and I held his face in my hands.
I looked at him "As long as I'm alive I won't let anything bad happen to this child and I know you will always protect us"
"Do you really trust those witches?" he suddenly asked ,I could feel that this was really bothering him.
"I do not trust anyone at this point if I'm being honest but it's better to keep your enemies close right. Plus I have a feeling they can be trusted ." I told him honestly .They didn't seem like people who would betray me but I wouldn't put it past them. People here were cable of doing anything and acting surprised about it at this point was just useless.
He got out of the blankets slowly "okay, just be careful and don't ever leave without telling me"
"Sure,I promise"
He kissed my forehead and left for the shower . I let my eyes close and sleep took over.
When I opened my eyes it was already past 12.I got up quickly and took a shower before leaving my room. It didn't take me long to to find Fatima. She was in the gym working out ,the moment she saw me she ran towards me and gave me a huge hug. "Prisca! How are you?" she asked sounding concerned.
I nodded my head "I'm okay, they didn't hurt me."
"Are you sure?And the baby ,I heard they drugged you. Did you get a check up with the doctor?" she asked without blinking even once. She was really worried, this made me smile because it showed how much she cared. It made me feel loved and cared for.
"Yeah but it was just to make me sleep, it did not affect the baby. I haven't seen the doctor yet. I just don't trust anyone"
Fatima shook her head "You have to see the doctor you can't trust anything they say"
I smiled at her "Yeah okay come with me then"
"Of course, lets go" she said holding my hand.
We got to the doctors office in a few minutes ,I held my pregnant belly and sighed.
"Are you okay?" she asked squeezing my hand.
"Yeah I'm just a little bit worried"
"About the baby?"
I sighed again "Kind of, I mean What If it's not okay...I did not think about it up until now. A lot has been happening."
She stood by the door and held my shoulders "Trust me when I say this ,Your baby is fine and you are fine. Everything is going to be okay just breath in and trust that everything is going to be just fine"
I smiled "just a little bit of faith"
"Exactly" she opened the door and the doctor smiled at us as if he was expecting us already.
"Hi ladies, Luna its nice to see you!" she said getting up from her chair.
"Hello" I said with a smile, she sounded nice and lively.
She stood in front of the table " Please take a seat"
We sat down on the chairs in front of her desk.
"We are here for a check up" Fatima said
"sure ,of course. Sleep on the bed right there" she said and I followed her instructions. She opened up my t-shirt and put something cold.
Fatima smiled down at me as we watched the doctor do her thing. The doctor also smiled at me and I raised an eyebrow "What is it?" I asked curiously.
"Well you are definitely fine...the Alpha is going to be so happy today. At least he will stop frowning a lot-hopefully" she said rubbing the gel on my belly.
Fatima also raised her eyebrow at the doctor "why ? What are you talking about?"
"I am lost as well, why would be so happy doctor?" I was so curious and I was kind of tired of surprises to be honest. I just wanted her to tell me the truth already before I lost my patience.
The doctor grinned "Well your babies are very healthy ,you are carrying "
I sighed in relief my baby was fine, that was better.
"wait did you say 'babies'..." Fatima said in disbelief and my jaws almost dropped to the ground.
The doctor smiled "Yes, you are going to have beautiful twins."
"Are you sure doctor?" I asked again, there must be a mistake.
"I am certain you are carrying twins, you need to be extra careful"
