Maurvi's POV



" What? Are you crazy?? I would have died of a heart attack, that the ghost must be right behind me. And you are practicing your drawing skills??? You are too much. " All of a sudden Sandhya shouted at Vikram.

" You don't want me to draw circles? Fine, I'll draw something else. Don't get annoyed sweetheart. "

What were they talking about??

" What drawing? Circles? Who is drawing?? Like right now?? What is going on?? "

Gautam asked and I was also very confused.

" Nothing you concentrate on your movie. " Vikram said to Satan.

" Ok, sweetheart no circles, I promise. Come let's not disturb them and watch the movie. " Vikram smiled sweetly at her. What was he up to?

" No, I don't want to watch it." Sandhya was saying.

" C'mon, Don't be a spoilsport... See they are enjoying the movie. I told you I will not draw circles."

" I don't want you to draw anything, ok ?? "

" What the hell is going on ? What are you doing? At least tell us what are you talking about and Vikram why are you practicing drawing?? Your drawing is very good, you have drawn so many diagrams during our medical college. " Gautam was confused.

" Will you please shut up for some time, Gautam? "

" Ok, I will not draw anything. No drawing practice today, Ok?? Now calm down and let Maurvi complete her dare. Ok !! if you don't want to see the Devils in the movie. Then watch your handsome devil. " He winked at Sandhya and told us to play the movie.

Gautam had paused the movie which he started again.

Vikram had Sandhya in her arms. He bent his head near her ear and whispered something and she blushed furiously. They look so good together.

The movie was going on and I was watching the movie though I was petrified. Gautam was looking at me with so much amusement.

I swear satan, you will have to pay for it.

The movie was over, I got up and looked at Gautam and said,

" Girls can handle everything, see I finished the whole movie." Vikram smiled at me and nodded.

" Yes, you can handle anything. But my poor arm... " Said Gautam.

" What do you mean?? " I asked while glaring at him.

" You were holding my hand so tightly that your nails left marks on my arm. Look, I must say you are very brave." He smiled at me.

" Sorry about that, but you said that girls can't handle it but I did. So, take your words back. " I blushed a bit and smiled sweetly.

" Yes, she is right. Well done Maurvi." Said Vikram and all of us nodded.

" Hey, what were you fighting about sometime back? Something about drawing... ? " Gautam asked.

" Nothing. I was drawing circles on her arm and she thought that some ghost did it. She was really scared and was about to faint because of that... " He told us.

We burst out laughing.

" C'mon yaar, now let's eat. I am really hungry, actually I skipped my lunch as well... " I said and we went to reheat the food in the microwave. Both Sandhya and I were talking about the movie and how scared we were.

I served everything on my plate and said, " Wow!! Sandhya I love all these things, Vada pav and Chana Daal Vada to spice up the evening and Marble cake, and Gulab jamun to end the day with sweetness. I really love you. I am extremely hungry now."

I was about to take a bite, when my phone started ringing. I saw the number and closed my eyes. Oh God, I was really sick and tired.

I picked up the phone and said,

" Hello? Hello aunty."

" Hmm hello, I wanted to talk to you "

" Ji.. "

" Can you come to our place? "

" What ?? but why? "

" I want to know exactly what is going on. You come and talk to her. She is not talking to anyone. "

" Aunty, I tried talking to her, but she didn't even talk to me. "

" You should have tried harder. You know she listens to you. "

" But aunty, I tried... "

" I don't know about that but she is crying in her room. You need to come here. "

" Aunty but..."

" No, but... Can't you do that for your best friend? "

" Ji I am coming... "

I got up and said, " Sorry but I need to go. There is some emergency at my friend's place. I really have to go. " I got so upset that my eyes were filled with tears. I even swayed a bit due to dizziness. Gautam held me in his arms.

" Stop Maurvi, I understand that it must be important for you. But you can't ignore your health and state of mind. Look at yourself, you are so keen to solve your friend's problem and she is not even talking to you. That means, she is taking you for granted. Please sit down and have food... You are not some superwoman. You will need energy to solve things. Just think about what can be done. You just came two hours back. Call her first, what if she refuses to talk to you again? How can you travel alone at this hour? Would your friend's mom allow her daughter to go somewhere alone at this hour? She can't treat you like this. " Sandhya said to me.

" But Sandhya, she is going through some problems... "

" No, she is not, she is just overreacting. You tried to make her understand everything. She is deliberately trying to fall in a ditch, you are not responsible for what she is doing. Stop torturing yourself, Maurvi... " Gautam literally shouted out of concern.

Hot tears started flowing from in my eyes.

" But she is my friend, I can't leave her in a problem. Would you leave your best friend in problem? " I asked him.

" No, but you practically did everything. Ok, First you eat food and then call her, if she talks to you. I will take you to her place and if she doesn't, you call her mom and say that she doesn't want to talk to you, so there is no point in you going there at this hour. You can go there first thing in the morning. Ok?? "

He said to me but I was hesitant.

" He is right Maurvi, we are also your friends. I told you you are like Vidhi to me, we want best for you and he is saying that he will take you there. I would not suggest you to go there alone at this hour either and she is not even listening to you. " Vikram said and Sandhya nodded.

Sandhya gave my plate to me. I had my food.

I called Prachi again, but she didn't respond. So, I called her mom and said, " Sorry aunty, I can't come there at this time. As there was no one to come with me and as it is, she is not even talking to me. So there is no use in my coming there. I can come in the morning if you think it will help. Bye aunty. " I disconnected the call and took a deep breath.

Sandhya hugged me and rubbed my back.

" That was the right thing to do. Now you must take rest, we must also leave. I am feeling very sleepy."

" But it is only Nine, we can go by Ten." Vikram smiled at her very sweetly.

" I am very tired and feeling sleepy. Please let's just go. Tomorrow I have to go shopping with Vidhi and Shubh. " He nodded and got up.

Gautam smiled at Sandhya, "Thank you so much for the awesome food especially that spicy Vada pav. I swear I will never forget this. You are so sweet, I think you are too good for this stupid man. Are you sure, you want to marry him???" Vikram punched him but he just kept on smiling. I also smiled.

Sandhya hugged me and said, "Please take care of yourself. If you need me for anything, please give me a call. " I smiled and nodded.

They said bye to both of us and slipped into the car and left.

" Enjoyed the evening, beautiful?? " Gautam asked me.

" Yes, I enjoyed the comedy movie. It was really funny. "

" What about the second one? I enjoyed it a lot... The best movie I ever saw. "

" Seriously?? What was so great about it? "

" You were holding my hand as if your life depended on it. How am I going to explain these marks on my hand? People will think that I did something wild tonight. " He was smiling like anything.

" What nonsense, nobody thinks like that... " I said to him with my cheeks burning.

" Everyone would say that my cute little tomato. Since you are my girlfriend, they would think that we... You know what I mean. How would I show my face to people? "

Shut up, please. I will kill you... He is teasing me like hell. Satan...

" I think I must go now, I am really tired. I couldn't sleep for the whole night. "

" Ok, good night. " Gautam said.

" Yeah, good night... " I said and turned to go but I couldn't go inside like that... I have always been scared of horror movies...

What if a ghost is waiting for me inside??????
