Maurvi's POV

I was a bit upset today. I was not able to understand Gautam's behaviour. I was stealing glances at him and when he did the same I looked away...

There seemed to be some awkwardness between us. It seemed that he wanted to be with me yet he was doing just the opposite.

What was going on???

Someone knocked at the door. I opened it, Gautam was standing there. I looked at him and was surprised to see him.

" Yes?? What happened?? Did you forget something? " I asked him.

He looked at me, I was wearing a pink night suit. He kept looking at me for a minute or two and then cleared his throat and said, " Can I come in, I need to talk to Sandhya for a minute. "

I nodded and stepped aside. He came into our room and went towards her. He had an ointment in his hand.

What was that for?

" Sandhya, I need to tell you something. Actually today while we were cooking, Vikram's hand got burnt. I wanted to apply this ointment on the burns but he is an adamant fool. I thought, I should tell you. Can you please tell him to apply this? I can't see him in pain. " Sandhya was shocked to hear that.

" What?? Why didn't he say anything? Did he pour cold water over it ? Has he taken any pain killer? " She started walking towards the door.

" Is he hurt badly? I must also go and ask if he is alright. " I said and started going but he stopped me.

" No, let them have some quality time alone. All they need is to be together for some time. " He said and I nodded.

" Gautam, have I done or said something to offend you? "

" No, why are you asking this? "

" I don't know but you are different these days. Sometimes you are ok... and then the very next moment you get aloof. "

" It is nothing. " I wanted to say more but he didn't seem to be in a mood to talk about this.

" It is a beautiful place. I can't sleep so early and wanted to go for a walk, do you want to come? "

" Yes, let's go. We all used to come here as kids and young boys. It was always good but Megha totally transformed it. This place is much more beautiful and romantic now. " He said with a smile.

Does he still like her? Is that the reason he is upset all of a sudden? No, but she is so happy with Mehul.

" Yes this place is amazing... I wonder why all of them went to their rooms so early? It is so nice here... what is so interesting in their room? "

He smiled but somehow it looked as if he was thinking something naughty. he tried to hide his smile. Then he looked at me with so much love.

He is seriously bipolar or something has happened to him. But what???

We sat down near a pond. It was a beautiful place. It was surrounded with big round white stones. And beautiful plants on one side and a cute fountain with amazing lights. The place was breathtaking.

He was very quiet. I wanted him to say something. Was he thinking about Megha? He is not that kind of person. He is happy for Mehul and Megha. I wish it was me whom he liked and or was interested in.

" So are you happy now that your friend has realised her mistake? She will stay away from Naman. " he asked all of a sudden.

" Yes, I am very happy. I couldn't see her suffering in a relationship with him. He was a cheapster. " My phone started ringing. Amit was calling.

" I am sorry I need to pick this up. "

I picked up the phone.

" Hello.. "

" Hi, where are you? " He asked.

" Why are you asking? "

" Because I am standing right in front of your house and your door is locked. Where are you at this time? "

" I am at a farmhouse with my friends."

" Which friends? Why didn't you tell me ? Do your parents know? "

" They know, I trust my friends and so does, my parents. Why are you at my place? "

" I need to talk to you about something, are you free ? "

" My feelings are pure for her. I can't seem to get her out of my mind."

I swear I will even tell your parents about it if you do anything wrong. Your dad will punish you by calling you back to your town. So just be in your limits. " I was threatening him. Gautam was looking at me with amusement.

What was so amusing?

" Yes, I know. So will you help me?

" I may, when I am assured that this is not your usual affair. One more thing... just learn to be responsible and stop roaming around like stupid guys. Think about your future and work on it."

" What? I am responsible... When have I not taken my responsibility seriously??? I take such good care of you. You are my responsibility. Do I fail in taking care of you? " he sounded hurt.

" Yes, you break the jaws of any guy who takes interest in me and you keep them away from me. You take good care of me. But I am talking about your professional responsibility. " Gautam's expressions were changing with my words.

" Are you forgetting that I am filthy rich? " Amit said to me, smiling.
