Maurvi's POV



Everyone was busy with the arrangements. And I was in my room getting ready for my Roka ceremony. I wore a beautiful dress for it and styled my long hair in soft curves.. wore the matching Jhumkis and bangles. I applied the minimum amount of makeup.

I looked into the mirror and I knew that I looked good. My mom came to my room and looked at me so much love in her eyes.

" Oh my God!!! You are looking awesome. I can't believe that my cute little girls have become young and beautiful. Both you and Noopur have grown up and are about to marry very good guys. I am really happy for you... You both look very good together. Perfect for each other. He is a very nice man. I am sure, he will keep you happy. " She took hold of my hand and started walking with me to the living room where everyone else was.

The moment I entered the room every pair of eyes turned to me. I was feeling shy. I looked at Gautam and immediately looked downwards he was giving me a very intense look. He was looking very good as well in his designer kurta.

Mom made me sit next to Gautam. He was ogling at me and Siddharth hit him with his elbow and Gautam came out of his thoughts. He rubbed the back of his head and smiled.

" Bhai, you are besotted... No one can help you now. " He teased Gautam.

" Wow!!! You are looking like an angel, beta. " Aunty said to me while hugging.

My dad also came and hugged me. And they started the ceremony. The first ritual was the Tilak ceremony, where tilak was applied to our foreheads.

After the tilak ceremony, the elders blessed us. They exchanged gifts include sweets, fruit baskets, dry fruits, clothes etc.

Aunty adorned me by placing a beautiful red chunni or dupatta over my head gave me lots of blessings with clothes, jewellery, Shagun etc.

On the other hand, my parents gifted clothes, a silver coconut and Shagun to him and showered him with their blessings.

After the ceremony, everyone was enjoying the good company. The elder ones were discussing the wedding plans. They were just too excited to be bored or tired with the planning.

Gautam said, " Maurvi everyone is going to Jodhpur for Vikram's wedding day after tomorrow... When would you like to go?"

" But, I have exams and moreover... They would not like me to go... " I said pointing towards my parents.

" Hey but you have to come. They would kill me if I go without you. And Sandhya and Vikram are your friends too. You need to come... "

" But..."

" No, I will get permission for you. " He said and went to my parents.

" Uncle and aunty, I needed one more permission from you."

" Yes beta... Tell us what permission you want? " Mom said with the smile.

" Actually my best friend is getting married this week and his would-be wife is Maurvi's very good friend. All my friends are going to Jodhpur for one week. As all my friends are going along with their wives, and they all are Maurvi's friends as well so can you please let her go-to wedding too? I swear, I will take care of her. And trust me, she will not be alone. She has many friends there... Please? "

" Beta, but she has the exams..." Mom said.

" Oh C'mon Kavita, she is so good at studies. Let her go... I am sure she wants to go and just rest assured, Gautam would take very good care of her..."

" We have always trusted you with her and now she is your responsibility too. You are a very responsible young man. She can go with you on one condition." Dad said.

" What conditions, uncle? " Gautam asked.

" That from now onwards you will not call us, uncle and aunty. You can call us dad and mom... If you fulfil this demand, we don't have a problem. " Dad said to him patting on his shoulder. Gautam grinned and nodded.

Though, I had gone to stay with them for the vacation, But I came back as I had to go to Sandhya's wedding. Mom asked me to do some shopping while we were going to Jodhpur. I packed my bag for the trip.

Aunty asked me to come for dinner. We all were having dinner when Aunty also told Gautam and me to do some shopping. I have always loved Rajasthani things... So I was very excited about shopping.

Aunty and uncle went to their room. I wished them good night and was about to leave for my house when something clicked my mind. I smiled at that.

" Siddharth, Vikram is your friend too... Right? " both the brothers looked at me.

" Hmm... So? " Siddharth asked after nodding.

" Then why don't you come with us? " He just shook his head.

" No... I would rather be here. You go and enjoy. "

" Nonsense, just go to your room and pack your bags. " I said with a naughty smile. Gautam looked at me with one eye raised.

" But, I don't want to go. He is bhai's friend. Why would I want to go? There should be some reason to go..."

" What if, I give you a reason to go? "

" What is going on in that mind of yours? " Gautam asked me, I winked at him with a smile. He was pleasantly surprised to see my mood.

" Tell me Siddharth, what if I give you one reason? "

" Ok... Give me one valid reason and if it is valid enough, I will go? Said Siddharth with a smile.

" Well, if you come with us, you will get plenty of the time to solve your problem or misunderstanding with Shruti. As she is Vidhi's friend so she would be there. We will help you too."

" What?? Yeah, maybe... You have a point, I think I can come. " Siddharth said with a faint smile.

" That's good !! Now go and pack your bags. " I said to him with a wink.

" Have I told you that you are very sweet? " Siddharth said and I shook my head. He smiled and went to pack his bags.

" That is a very good idea. It didn't even come to my mind, My brother is right, you are very sweet... " Gautam said coming very close to me.

" Tell me something, I already don't know... "

" You must be rewarded for that... " Gautam said with his naughty smile.

" Ok wow!! What reward?? "

" A kiss... "

" Thanks, but no thanks... I must go and sleep... We have to leave early in the morning. "

" What is the hurry darling?? You should give at least a goodnight kiss to your fiance..." he caught my hand.

" Am I missing something? When did you become my fiance? You didn't even propose me for marriage. " I smiled at him

" I didn't?? Ok, I will rectify that right away... " he said and with that, he went down on his knees. I was shocked. He was still holding my hand.

" So, my sweet little tomato will you please marry me? " He said and took out a box from his pocket. It had a beautiful diamond ring. I gasped at that.

" But... We... I mean we were going to have engagement later on. Right ? "

" That would be for others... This is between you and me. So will you marry me? " he said with a smile which made me go even crazier about him.

" Yes... Of course. " I said and smiled. He slid the ring in my finger. And kissed my hand. He got up and took me in his arms.

" So as far as we are concerned, we are engaged. We will do it in front of everyone later on. Just leave that for now... So, am I your fiance now? "

" Um... Yes. "

" So... Do I get a kiss now? " He asked with one of his eyebrows raised.

I shook my head and smiled shyly. He pulled me in his arms and gave me a light peck on my lips and hugged me very tightly. I buried my face in his chest and he kissed me on my head.
