Maurvi's POV



I was so glad that my friend was back. I felt as if I was at the top of this world.



We both cooked our favourite pasta and pizza for dinner.



We both were feeling hot so I went to take a refreshing bath. After I came out Prachi went to take a bath as she had come for the night stay.



My pasta was ready and pizza was in the oven. I was about to call Gautam when the bell rang. I opened the door and saw him standing there. I was so happy that I gave him a big and bright smile.



" Hi !! I just wanted to ask if you want to come for the dinner out. " He asked me hesitantly.



" No, I don't want... "



" Why?? You don't want to go with me? "



" I have already prepared dinner. Come, I made my favourite pasta and pizza. " I was smiling at him.



" So, what is the matter? You are like... super happy to see me? " He teased me but I smiled.



" Yes, I am really happy to see you. Thank you so much. " I was so happy that I wanted to hug him, but I didn't.



" Thanks for what?? "



" Everything is sorted... Prachi came to apologise to me, an hour ago and we are friends again. Thank you"



" Hey, this is not, how you say thank you to your boyfriend... come and hug or even better kiss me." He was smirking.



Don't say such words. Oh, my heart, please don't beat so hard, he must be teasing me.



I just blushed and said, " I can offer you food made by me."



" You make food for me everyday... There must be something different today. " He was smiling again.



" Are you flirting with me ? "



" Is it working? " He asked again.



" Maybe... "



" What??" He looked shocked and I burst out laughing and hugged him lightly.



" Am I disturbing the love birds? " Prachi asked and we both smiled at her.



" I wanted to thank you. Can I call you bhaiya? " Prachi asked sweetly and Gautam nodded with a big smile.



" Thank you so much for getting him away from our life. I am sorry, I behave weirdly. " she said.



" It is ok, forget about all that. That man is not worth remembering. I will find a very nice guy for you. " She hugged him and he smiled and looked at me.



" Hey, let's go, I have made dinner for all of us. "



" Don't you think it is too early for dinner? How about a movie on my home theatre? " Gautam asked and winked at me.



This man...



" No way... You must not listen to him. He will ask us to watch, action or horror movie. "



" So... What is wrong in that? You did enjoy the movie. Didn't you? " he was smiling mischievously. I just shook my head and he laughed and said,

" But I loved every minute of it." I blushed at that and he chuckled. Prachi was just smiling at us.



We all were eating our food and enjoying the light conversation.



" Wow!! This food is amazing. I could eat all of it. Both the dishes, tastes even better than what you get in any expensive Italian restaurant. I can't stop myself from eating it. " He smiled like anything.



My phone started ringing. I picked it up as it was from Amit.



" Hi, how are you? "



" Not well... My stomach is upset. Our cook is on leave so eating out. "



" Couldn't you think of me. Why didn't you tell me? Come home. I will make something nice for you. "



" Hmmm... Hey Maurvi, did you talk to Prachi? yesterday. "



" She came to meet me today. Everything is fine now. She is staying at my place tonight. Thank you so much for that. "



" Oh, so now you will thank me? Have you gone crazy? You know I can do anything for you. I love you so much." I smiled at that.



" Ok, I will not thank you. I love you too. Bye. " I put the phone down.



" Hey, I wanted to thank him too." Prachi said.



" Ok, call him after the food. "



" I think I must leave. " Gautam said all of a sudden. He looked upset.



But why? What happened to him?



" But why?? " Both Prachi and l asked him.



" I need to make a few phone calls. " He was avoiding looking at me. What have I done to upset him??



" But just now you wanted to watch a movie? " I asked him in a low voice.



" No, your friend is here, you must spend some time with her. We will watch the movie some other time. "



" At least finish your food..." I was feeling sad.



" No, I am not hungry anymore. Bye Prachi." and he went out of my house. I followed him.



What happened?? Is he bipolar? He was in such a good mood just 5 minutes back...



" Is everything alright? " I asked him and he nodded.



" I have to do something important. " He said looking at his phone which had started buzzing. He picked it up.



" Hello?? Hi, I am good... She is also fine. What?? Ok........ I don't know..... What did he say? I need to talk to her. What? You want to talk to her? Ok she is right here. " He gave his phone to me.



" Vikram wants to talk to you. " He said. I took the phone from him. And by chance the phone went on speaker phone.



" Hi, how are you? "



" I am good and want to be better. Actually Mehul just called up and he wants all of us to come to his farmhouse for picnic. Maurvi can you please come ?"



" What? But how can I ? "



"You know, Sandhya can come, only if you are coming. Please, don't say no. "



" But... "



" No but... Please can't you do this favour to me? "



" Ok... I will come. "



" Thanks yaar, I just love you. But don't tell that idiot that I said that to you. He will kill me." Vikram said but the speaker was on and he heard it. He took the phone in his hand.



" This idiot heard that... I will see you in hospital. "



" Hey what happened? You are not your usual self. Trouble in paradise?? Did you fight with Maurvi?"



" No, I will talk to you later. Bye. "



" I need to go, good night Maurvi. "



" Good night" I said reluctantly and came in.



Prachi and I kept talking the whole night.



In the morning, I told her that I needed to make a few things for Amit. So she also helped me in making them. I made a few healthy snacks and lunch for the day. I made instant protein Laddoes which can be prepared in 10 mins. Fruit cake, Veg idly, shahi paneer, mixed veg and paranthas.



Amit came to meet us around 8:30 in the morning and I gave him everything. He had breakfast with us and left with Prachi as she had to pick up some books from her home.



I packed everything for Gautam and went to his place. I rang his bell and he came out. I gave the food to him. Just then I saw someone entering my main gate and was about to press the doorbell when I asked him, " Yes, may I help you? "



He turned towards me and gave me a big smile. He looked familiar...



Oh God!!! He was the son of one of my dad's friends. I used to hate him when we were younger. He was a pervert, I knew him so well as he was my classmate.



I recognised him but I pretended that I don't remember him. I looked at Gautam, he was looking at him curiously. He placed the food on the nearest table and came and stood by me.



" Yes, may I help you? Do I know you?"



" Yes, you do... I am Dheeraj. I am Dr. Sudhir Gupta's son. Do you remember me now? "



" Oh, ok... Hi, Dheeraj. So how can I help you? "



" Can we talk privately?"



" No, he is my friend. You can talk in his presence. "



" Well ok, actually I saw your pictures in newspapers that day... You have grown up, and become very beautiful. So I just wanted you to be my friend. "

What??? I would rather die... I swear, I hate that guy.

I saw Gautam from the corner of my eyes and saw him clenching his jaw. I held Gautam's hand as I knew he was about to say something.
