Chapter 42

Maurvi's POV

" It is not fair sweetheart, I have been waiting to apply colour on your beautiful face and you are already playing with your sister. Come with me. " He held my hand and took me aside. We were standing near the wall of my house. He took, red Gulal colour in his hand and brought it in front of me.

" Won't you play Holi with me? Do the honours sweetheart. I am waiting for too long. " I blushed and took the color from his hand and applied it on both his cheeks as I do Every year, but this year I was blushing furiously.

" Oh god !! You are already red, but I love this colour on you. " He said and applied it on my cheeks and then on my neck just below my ear. His touch left sparks on my body. He bent a bit and kissed on the other side of my neck and I gasped. He just smiled, when he saw my reaction.

" I just love the way your body react to my touches. You seem to be excited and scared at the same time. I get a thrill whenever you gasp, gulp, shiver or shudder because of my touch. I am going insane Maurvi. God please help me. "

" Ummm... Gautam, I am not... very used to of it. So... "

" I completely understand dear, I will try to take things easily. But it is your fault... You always look so pretty that I just want to have you in my arms the moment I see you. I understand how you feel beautiful. We will go slow and will take baby steps. But you need to understand that you are driving me insane. " He held my hand and kissed it.

All of a sudden cold water was pouring over us. We both were shocked and saw Siddharth standing with an empty bucket in his hand.

" What was that, you stupid? "

" Bhai, this is how we play Holi, not like you are playing. This is not fair, I came home for Holi, I also want to play. You are just lost in each other. I have a right to play Holi with her. "

" Why?? No... "

" Ok, then I will keep throwing water on both of you and will not let you have your romantic moments, bhai. " Siddharth was grinning like a fool.

" You idiot..." Gautam was glaring at him. I got out of his arms and went near Siddharth.

" Happy Holi, Siddharth. I am glad you came. " I applied colour on his face and smiled at him. He also applied colour on my face.

" Happy Holi to you too, beautiful. I mean... Maurvi. I know, you are very glad that I came, otherwise you people would have taken more time to confess. I am happy for both of you. But still if you ever change your mind about him, just consider me. " He said with a wink and hugged me lightly.

" Don't worry, she won't change her mind. You mind your business and find a nice girl for yourself. " Gautam smiled at him and shook his head.

We all went to the party. It was in full swing. There were three very big kid's swimming pools which were filled with different coloured water. There were big platters full of all colours of Gulals . We saw Vikram standing there with Sandhya and Shubh ( Sandhya's brother).

Gautam's POV

I saw Vikram and Sandhya and we all went there. Vikram was holding her hand possessively. I wished her and hugged lightly. Then I hugged him very hard and he looked at me as if asking me if I told Maurvi about my feelings. I just nodded and smiled. He looked so happy. He hugged me tightly and said, " So what is the scene? How are you feeling now? "

" She is my girlfriend for real now... " I whispered and grinned like a small boy who just got a chance to rob a chocolate factory.

" Hey Vikram, why are you not playing Holi with Sandhya? " I asked.

" She is not very fond of playing Holi and is getting very shy as her brother is here. Moreover her pre bridal beauty sessions are on and as the marriage is in 10 days she doesn't want to take any risk with her skin. "

" You know Maurvi wanted to call her over protective cousin, but I refused to let her invite him. I did not want to have any tension. Both Noopur and Maurvi love playing Holi. " I said in a low tone so only he could hear.

She hugged and applied just a little dot of colour on Sandhya's face as she said she doesn't want any colour on her... Sandhya was smiling like anything. Maurvi introduced Noopur and Kshitij to them.

Vikram smiled at Maurvi and wished her Holi. She smiled at him and applied colour on his face. He did the same and then side hugged her and kissed on her head and whispered that he is happy for both of us. She nodded and smiled at him.

Sid applied lots of colour on Vikram and he smiled at Sid. We used to play together as children. So they were like friends.

All my friends and colleagues were here. Everyone was enjoying playing Holi. Holi songs were playing and we all were enjoying ourselves.

Noopur got a small bucket full of green water and threw it on me and Sid. Sid laughed and snatched the bucket from her and went to refill it.

We all looked like small kids who were given a chance to experience the world of colours. We all looked colourful.

I also took more colour and applied it on Maurvi and she smiled shyly. I hugged and kissed her on her forehead. All my friends started teasing us and she blushed beautifully and then applied colour on everyone's face.

Mehul and Rahul pushed us in the pool. She shrieked and shut her eyes. I held her tightly in my arms as she was a bit scared and was clutching me a bit tightly. We splashed into water and I got up fast as I didn't want her to panic, as she didn't know how to swim so she looked scared.

Her eyes were shut tightly and she was clung to me as if we were inseparable. I kept looking at her. She looked so innocent and beautiful in my arms. I tucked her hair behind her ear. She opened her eyes and smiled at me. Then we got out of water.

Kshitij also picked up Noopur and dropped her in one kids pool which was filled with hot pink coloured water. They were laughing like kids. Sid threw purple water on me and laughed at my expression. I ran after him and Sid was running ahead of me when he collided with someone and they both lost their balance and fell into the coloured water pool.

We all stopped where we were and saw them falling and then they got up, but were a bit unsteady. They were coughing and then after a minute or so they became normal and took deep breaths.

They looked at eachother. Both Sid and the girl looked shocked. She was a very pretty and cute girl. She was glaring at Sid and Sid was ogling at her.

" What are you doing here? " Sid asked her.

" Who are you to ask that? Are you following me? Why are you here? "

" Oh hello, why would I follow you? You think really highly of yourself, I am cordially invited here by Vikram. But I think you must have come here because you saw me coming to the party. Admit it that you can't resist my charm. "

" To hell with your charm, I don't even give a damm about it. I would not follow you even if you were the last man on this earth. "

" I remember you following me once, beautiful. "

"It was your misunderstanding. I was looking for some book which happened to be with you. And today, even I am invited to this party. I am Vidhi's friend. She invited me ." she looked annoyed with him.

The girl looked as if she wanted to kill Sid, while he looked very amused. I know he was teasing her.

" Wait a minute guys... What is going on? Chill yaar it is not a battle ground. It is a Holi party. Cool down Shruti... He is Gautam bhaiya's brother. What's wrong with both of you? Do you know each other?" Vidhi came to cease fire between them.

" Yes " Sid said

" NO " the girl said. What was that???

She pushed him again in water and walked away. Sid got up, shook his head to remove extra water and laughed.

" What was that Sid?? Vidhi asked him? "

" Nothing important, leave that... let's enjoy the party. " He took a fist full of colour and applied it on Vidhi's face. She smiled and did the same. She dragged him to introduce him to her friends.
