Gautam's POV


The party was going very well. Everyone was enjoying, the food was served, We all were hungry now so we all decided to have food. There were so many dishes and snacks. Thandai, Kanji , Juices and Soft drinks were being served since beginning

Some traditional snacks which are usually eaten on holi like Namakpare , Pakoras, Gujiya, small matar Samosa, Dahi vada, Kanji wada, Sandwiches etc were also served. Then there were Chhole bhature, Kachori Subji and the regular food. We all were eating and talking about our favourite food.

I saw Maurvi taking a glass of kanji as it is really good for health. All my friends were having Thandai. We all were teasing each other as usual. All the girls were eating together and talking about something and giggling. They all were so cute and lovely. They all were engrossed in themselves.

" Oye Vikram, thandai and Pakoras have Bhang in it?" Rahul was asking.

" Oh no... " Vikram smiled mischievously.

" This is not fair yaar. This is my first holi after marriage, yaar. Priya doesn't want to play Holi. I would have made her drink that and played holi with her. You know it is so irritating when you want to play Holi, but your partner doesn't want ? " He said slowly so that girls could not hear.

" Same here... My sentiments exactly." Mehul said, pouting.

" You are telling me?? Sandhya is also not playing and I love Holi. " Vikram said with a long face.

" So let's add some bhaag to it to have some fun. " Mehul said, wiggling his eyes and Vikram nodded. They looked so happy.

" Actually, I asked them to prepare two types of thandai. So we have that too. " Vikram smiled and winked.

" Yeyyyy... " Rahul was so excited.

Vikram asked the waiter to bring a few glasses of thandai with bhang.

Waiter served it and we all had a glass of it.

" Let the girls have a taste of it. " Mehul said.

" Well, I don't know... I think we must not. " Vikram and I said.

" Are you guys scared of your girls?? " Mehul asked with a smirk.

" Ha ha ha... Mehul we all saw, who is scared of whom, on your farmhouse last week. " I said to him and he scratched the back of his neck and we all burst out laughing.

" I am going to make my wife drink it." Rahul said.

" So am I ... " Mehul said mischievously.

" Well, it is good if Sandhya loosen up a bit but I don't want her brother to punch me who is guarding her. "

" Then first of all, make him drink it. " I said and winked.

" What about you Gautam? " Rahul asked me.

" I don't know.... I will ask her. But I will not drink much. "

" Why?? " Mehul asked.

" I need to be in my senses... " I said.

But I knew that I blushed a bit. Oh god, I can't blush, they will tease me mercilessly. I am becoming like my tomato gradually.

" Did you just say that?? Hey, you are blushing man..." Vikram said with a grin. They all started teasing me.

" What rubbish... I am not blushing you fool. I am feeling a bit hot... That's why... "

" Yes, yes... We understand very well. Guys he is feeling hot. Don't dare say that he is blushing otherwise he will beat you to pulp. Gautam, you are not blushing like girls... " Vikram said and they all burst out laughing.

" Shut up, all of you and drink your bhaa.... I mean thandai. " They called for more bhang and told the waiter to serve it to the girls. We all joined them.

Priya, Megha and Sandhya took a glass but Maurvi refused to have it.

" Hey, why are you not taking it. It is very nice? " said Priya

" No.. actually I am a bit allergic to it. Whenever I drink it, my throat starts giving me trouble. So I never drink it. "

" Oh !! Ok.. but now you have a boyfriend, who is a doctor. He will treat you, don't worry have it. " Said Mehul and I glared at him.

" I rather not have it, thanks. " She refused.

" It is ok, don't have it sweetheart. " I said with a smile. She smiled back at me shyly.

" Seriously, Gautam you are whipped. Totally a gone case. " Said Mehul and all of them laughed.

Mehul and Rahul had two more glasses and Vikram had another one. I did not have another. He made Shubh drink three glasses too. Sandhya just had one. Priya and Megha also declined to have more.

" Where are Noopur and kshitij? Why are they not eating food? " I asked Maurvi.

" Oh ! They are playing Holi like 10 year olds. Totally engrossed in themselves. She is crazy about it. We love playing Holi since childhood. You know how excited we usually are."

" Yes, I know. Very well... " I smiled at her remembering all those Holi days when I used to look at her excitement from far away. She blushed looking at me.

" Sorry to bring you back to reality, but don't get lost in your dream world. You are at a party. " Vikram came near us and whispered. I smiled and shook my head.

" Vikram, just because your brother-in-law is here and you can't romance with your fiance, that doesn't mean others can't as well. " I whispered back. But Maurvi heard it too.

" How mean, as a friend you must help me so that I can also enjoy the Holi. "

" Ok don't sulk... I will think of something. Why don't you play with plain water. She will not get any allergies with water. Right? " I raised one eyebrow at him and he smiled.

" That's a good idea but what about her brother?" He asked me.

" Distract him, encourage him to enjoy the party with people of his age. I will tell Sid to take him away and thus you will get a chance to have some quality time with her. " I said and saw him grinning.

" Hey, but where is Siddharth ? I have not seen him for long. " Maurvi smiled at him and then asked me.

" He went to play Holi with Vidhi and her friends."

I called Sid, " Sid, why don't you come near food stalls with Vidhi and her group. Have food and Vikram needs a bit of help from you. "

" Ok, as it is we are coming there only."

" Great "

He came with Vidhi and a group of her friends and cousins. Even that girl Shruti was there, who threw Sid in water. She looked a bit irritated.

I went near them and asked him and Vidhi, " Can you please involve and distract Sandhya's brother, so that he can spend some time with Sandhya. He is sulking. " Sid smiled at Vikram and nodded.

" Sure bhai, anything for you." Sid said to Vikram.

" But you don't know how he is.. he won't come with us easily. " Vidhi smiled devilishly.

" We will find some way.. " Sid said.

They all went to meet Sandhya as Shubh was standing nearby.

Vikram went after them. Vidhi and Sid were able to drag him to play Holi. Though he did not want to go, but Sandhya and Vikram persuaded him.

Somehow I felt that he was sulking too and was glaring at Sid. But why? he barely knows him...

" Now that everyone is busy shall we also play Holi. " I said to Maurvi with a naughty smile.

" Well no.... You have already played enough holi with me. "

" Are you crazy.... I have barely started. Come on its our first holi. Thanks god !! Amit is not here or I would have had to think about distracting two over protective brothers today. " I was so happy he was not here.

" I wish, he was here" she said and I made a face. She smiled at me and shook her head.

The holi songs were playing and Rahul and Mehul were asking all of us to come and dance. They started to dance. But I saw some of our colleagues, coming towards us after having food and drinks. We wished holi to each other. They all started talking with Vikram, Sandhya and even Maurvi as they had met her on my birthday.

I saw Aakash looking at us with a Thandai in his hand. He smiled at me and then at Maurvi and wished us holi. Then he went to take another glass.

Oh !! He was having bhaang too. He looked at us in a different way. That was a bit weird... Maybe the bhang started showing its effects.

Maurvi said that she wanted to call Noopur and went to call them as she forgot to bring her phone and didn't remember her new number. I wanted to come but Mehul dragged me with him to join them.
