Chapter 71

Gautam's POV



She came to my room to talk to me, but I was a bit disappointed as I was anticipating that she would kiss me. Then she kissed me hesitantly on my cheek. I pulled her and made her kiss me.

She was so sweet and shy. I felt as if she was melting within my arms. I made her stay with me for the night and then help her go to her place before my parents realised that she was here. It was so exciting.

I got ready as we all had to go shopping. I don't like to go shopping much but I enjoyed this shopping a lot as it was for my Maurvi.

Our moms' were buying some sarees for her as well as themselves. She preferred light pastel colours while my mom and her mom thought that she would need only bright and heavy sarees. She liked two beautiful and elegant sarees but her mom said that is just too light and not apt for wedding collection. She rolled her eyes. They were placing different sarees on her shoulders to see which one suited her.

Well, she would have looked pretty in a potato sack... I bought those two sarees and asked the salesman to gift pack them. Then they bought many traditional outfits for various functions. They wanted our outfits to be colour coordinated.

I knew she was tired. They were buying their sarees when I asked if we could go and get something to eat. My mom looked at me and smiled. She knew me well. She said that they would manage the sarees and told us to do our other shopping.

I winked at my sweet mom and came out with Maurvi. We decided to get something to eat as I was really hungry. We were going to some food joint when I saw Sagar. He was talking to someone on phone. He looked a bit upset, it seemed that he was trying to convince someone.

I went up to him and he gave a small smile to us. He was still talking on the phone. We went into a famous fast food eating joint. I told them to sit and I went to order food and drinks for all three of us.

When I came back Sagar was looking upset and Maurvi was asking him about it.

Sagar was saying, " I don't know, what to say. I was madly in love with her and all of a sudden she vanished. I asked her friend but she did not tell me. She said that she didn't have her number or address. I knew that she was lying..so I tried asking again and again but her brother and his friends picked up a fight with me and my brother. Apparently, he also knew about her whereabouts but didn't tell me. I went crazy about her but could not find her. "

" But Mehul Ji said that you found her.... "

" I did..... But she is very angry with me... Doesn't even want to look at me.... "

" But why???? "

" No idea... She leaves the room if I enter. "

" Why??? "

" No idea... She behaves as if I am not there... She doesn't give any reaction to anything I say or do. She used to do it earlier too when we were younger.... "

" But how will you solve the problem if you don't know it? " She asked him.

" Don't know..... "

" Then make it your mission to know...once you know let me know... I will help you. "

" Really?? " Both Sagar and I asked her and she nodded.

" Awww so cute...... I love you ." Sagar said to her and I kicked him hard and he fell on the floor. Both Sagar and Maurvi were shocked and then Sagar burst out laughing.

" Look at your face man..... You have gone crazy after her. I love her but not the way you love her. You stupid... You know I have loved only one girl for my entire life. " Sagar said with a smile which looked sad to me.

" Sorry .... Of course I know, it is just that... I .... "

" Got jealous...... You are whipped man. Oh my god!!! Maurvi what have you done to my friend??? " He was laughing like a child. It was a beautiful sight to see him laughing like this after so long.

" No, I am serious Sagar Ji... If she is so angry with you, that means she has feelings for you and you did something that hurt her so bad that she doesn't even want to see your face. She would not have been angry if she didn't care..."

" But I didn't do any such thing..."

" Maybe you didn't realise....... Just find out..... Bye hook or crook......." She said with a smile.

" Hey... Gautam, will you please tell, where did you find her? " Sagar asked me.

" In the house next to mine...... " I smiled.

" Lucky you... Do take very good care of her. And you let me know if he bothers you. I will beat him.... he might have been a boxing champion but I am also very good at it. And ..... dear I will surely find out and will get back to you... Don't forget that you promised to help me.... "

" I won't... Don't worry and good luck." She said sweetly to him and he hugged both of us and said goodbye.

We both went for some shopping. I let her select some of my clothes and selected a few for her and when she went to try them I got a few interesting pieces of clothes for her and bought them without consulting her. It would be really difficult to convince her to wear them but it would be worth it.

She came out of the trial room with the things she wanted. We bought them and went to another showroom.

After the shopping was done, I told her to relax in the car and went to pick all the things that I bought secretly. I kept them in my car and slid into the driving seat.

" What was in those bags? " She asked me.

" Nothing..... "

" What do you mean nothing? "

" Nothing means, not something that that concerns you... "

" Hmmm .. hiding things from me already?? " she said with one of her eyebrows raised. I smiled at her.

" Ok... Well, it is a surprise for you which you will get later."

" Surprise... I hope you are not going to give me a shock." She said and I smiled mischievously.

" Do you want anything else? "

"No... I am very tired... Let's go home. " She said. Though I was tired too, I did not want to go back to our home as otherwise she would go home and I would not be able to have her to myself, till our marriage. So I took her to an ice-cream joint. We took our Icecreams and came back to our car.

She was eating the ice cream with so much interest that I got jealous of that icecream... I wish I was that icecream. I kissed her once again and made her blush again and again. It was getting late so very reluctantly, we came back.

I kissed her good night and whispered, " I wish I could have you in my arms tonight too just like last night. "

" You know that it is not possible... We will meet at our wedding day now. " She said and ran into her house after giving me a peck on my lips.

I came into my house and could not sleep for the whole night and next day in the morning she went away with her parents.

Just after 3 days, Sagar called me to ask for Maurvi's phone number. I told him that she was in Chandigarh only as her father was posted there. He was really happy to know that. He said that he would definitely go and meet her. I was happy that he was happy but I wanted to meet my Maurvi too.

The preparation of the marriage was going in full swing....my mom was dragging me for shopping almost every day after my work. She even called her on phone to know about her preferences.

I was really upset that she was not around and all of my friends were teasing me that I looked like a robot without her.

I wish I could meet Maurvi. I convinced my parents for letting me going there but there were so many things which were to be taken care of. Siddharth would be able to come just 3 days before the wedding so I had to stay here and see to all the arrangements for the baarat.

The wedding was going to be there in Chandigarh, The city beautiful. All my friends were also very excited as we all enjoyed going to Jodhpur for Vikram's wedding. Finally, all the arrangements were made and we left for Chandigarh just 3 days before wedding.
