Chapter 33

Maurvi's POV

Sandhya's phone started ringing. She looked at it and picked it up and talked with the caller which was her brother. She looked so sad. What happened to her?

Vikram went near her and asked her, what made her sad. She said she had to go somewhere with Shubh but couldn't go and even Shubh could not go. Vikram said that she can go there in one or two days and she just nodded.

Vikram asked her brother and then he went out with Gautam to get some stuff and came back in an hour.

They all played a few games. All the guys even did swimming while girls chatted on. It was an amazing short trip as it rejuvenated us.

We all clicked many pics. And then had our lunch before we head back to our normal life.

We all said bye to each other with the promise to take out time for each other and meet frequently like this time.

Vikram drove to an orphanage and Sandhya was so surprised. She looked at him and he just nodded and smiled. She was very happy but still confused.

" Let's go inside, everything is already here. Shubh made all the arrangements. He ordered food, gifts, books and toys... And we bought some gifts, chocolates and sweets as well. " She hugged him .

Gautam's POV


We went inside and saw that all the kids were very excited to see Sandhya. They all came and surrounded her. Some of the little kids were trying to hug her. She picked one little girl in her arms and kissed her cheek. She was really, genuinely happy.

" Sandhya di, who are these people? Where is Shubh bhaiya? " A few children asked...

" Well kids, Shubh bhaiya was out of Delhi. So I came with my friends. She is Maurvi di and he is Gautam bhaiya, he is a doctor. And he is... Vikram ji, he is also a doctor. " She smiled at him. Maurvi and I also smiled and then said hello to the kids.

We started distributing the books, toys, gifts etc.

The food was served which her brother had already ordered. He had ordered pastries, cookies, cutlets, samosas and aaloo pakoras. We also kept the sweets there and served them.

The kids looked so happy. All of them wanted to talk to Sandhya. Maurvi and I really enjoyed. Maurvi helped one little girl. She was not able to eat easily, hence she made that little girl sit on her lap and helped her in eating.

We also distributed the gifts we brought for them and spent almost two hours there.

" Wow Sandhya, you are like a celebrity here. Everyone loves you. You come here on the first Sunday of every month ? " Maurvi asked.

" Yes, and we love doing it. They also wait eagerly for us to visit them. I feel bad that they are less fortunate as they don't have parents to take care of them. We can't do anything about that but atleast help in easing the pain away a bit. "

" That's great , from next time onwards, I will also come with you." Maurvi said.

" Yes, we all must come. So it is a deal. " I said.

" She even goes to an old-age home at least once in a month. " Vikram said.

" That is great Sandhya, next time count me in... " Maurvi said and I also nodded.

We all came back to our car and slid into it. I slid into the back seat as I was feeling very sleepy. Maurvi sat beside me. Within minutes she was sleeping like a child. Her head was resting on the car window but her head bumped lightly on it. I pulled her towards me and placed her head on my shoulder. She looked like an angel.

Vikram dropped us at our places. Maurvi was so tired that she did not even get up when we reached our place. I opened the door of her house and then picked her up and took her to her room. I laid her on her bed. Looked at her angelic face and placed a kiss on her head. I was tempted to ask more questions while she was sleeping but thought against it, as it was cheating.

I came out after 5 mins and locked her door. I hugged both of them, wished them good night and went to my house as I was also very sleepy.

Maurvi's POV

My landline phone was ringing continuously. I picked it up.

" Hello? "

" Hi beautiful!!! How are you? "

" I am sorry, may I know, who is this ?"

" What ?? You forgot me ??? I mean... out of sight, out of mind ? I did not expect from you. I am so hurt. "

" Oh please , I am really busy... either you tell your name or talk to someone else to pass your free time."

" Cool down beautiful.... Ok fine but I am really upset with you. Siddharth this side. Remember me now?? Your next door neighbour. "

" Oh, Hi !! I am so sorry. Hi, how are you? You haven't come home for so long. When are you coming? "

" Today itself. "

" What? Seriously? Wow !! That is great but how all of a sudden ? "

" I had a few holidays and thought that I must extend my holiday as Holi is just round the corner. I wanted to be at home. "

" Wow, that's great, you know my practicals have started, so I can't go and join my family there. I have to be here as I have my final practical the very next day. "

" So, that is great for me. Maurvi, I was calling at home, but I guess, Big bro is not at home and his mobile is switched off. Can you please give him the message that I will be there by 5 in the evening and if it is possible, can he pick me up from the airport? "

" Yes, sure right away... I don't think he has left. "

" Ok, bye beautiful, will see you in the evening. " He said and disconnected the phone after telling me his flight timings.
