Maurvi's POV



All of us reached my home, I was feeling very nervous again. I should have told my parents earlier. What would they think, that Gautam's parents know but I didn't tell them. I was still thinking when aunty asked me to come with her, though it seemed that my feet were rooted to the ground.

" Don't worry... Come. " Gautam came near me and said. I just nodded.

We went inside and mom came and greeted all of them and then hugged me. I hugged her back. I wanted to tell them before they tell her but it was not possible now.

Mom and dad were really happy to meet all of them and to have me with them for a few days.

The tea and snacks were served and then while everyone was sitting and having tea, mom asked about the girl he had fallen in love with and my heart beats increased.

" Arre... she is an amazing girl, we all love her. We are expecting that her parents would also agree with it. "

" They will definitely agree. Why wouldn't they? Gautam is such a nice boy, he is independent, intelligent, smart, handsome and very decent. He is everything, a girl's parents would want to have in their son-in-law. " Dad said with a smile.

" Bhai Sahab, Kavita... Actually, we have come to meet you as we wanted you to give us something very dear to you. "

" My dad got up and hugged him and patted on his back.

There was so much excitement among everyone. Everyone congratulated each other and fed Laddooes to each other.

My mom also hugged me and him. She was so happy and excited.

" Hmm... now I know why she was not agreeing to get married. " Dad laughed out.

" So, when can we get them married? " Aunty asked.

" Aunty, can we make it after six months, please? " I said hesitantly as they all were hell-bent to marry us off as soon as possible.

Gautam said and took me aside.

" What are you saying? No, six months is not possible. How about one month? " Gautam said.

" No, It is not possible. I have exams and internship. I am extremely busy for 3 months and then I need some time to relax and do shopping."

" What were you saying? Why am I being difficult? " He looked a bit angry and started coming very near to me. I took my steps back and he kept advancing towards me.

The back of my knees hit the bed and I fell on it. He bent down and placed his hands on my bed on either side. I gasped and tried pushing him but he smirked at me and kissed me on my ear... Oh God, why does every time he touches me I feel that a current flows in my body?

" I am not being difficult, tomato. You are making it difficult for me to stay away from you. Do you know how much I want to spend every minute with you? I can't stay away from you for that long. I want you in my life forever now and that too very soon. I want you in my arms and you pushing me. "

" So have you two discussed about the wedding day? " uncle asked.

" After 3 months, dad. " Gautam replied before I could say anything.

" But... "

" Oh please, I think I would have to leave my practice and become her bodyguard. I have chased away almost half boys of the city away from her. I just want to get engaged with a big rock on her finger so that all those silly boys stay away... " He said making me smile but it felt good the way he said it. Everyone burst out laughing.

" Ok, so we can set an auspicious day for the wedding and engagement. Hey Kavita, I know it's very short notice but I think we can have a small ceremony to celebrate this. " Mom looked at Dad and he nodded.

" Ok, if you say so.... "

" But what about Noopur? She is not here. We can't have it in her absence. " Aunty said looking a bit disappointed and I loved her for being considerate.

" It is ok, she can't come on such short notice. We can have a roka now and will have the engagement and wedding later on. " Mom said with a smile.

" That's great !! Let's do the preparation and have the Roka ceremony. " Aunty said.

" Let's have the food first. In the meanwhile, I will arrange the things which are needed. " Mom said with a smile.

We all had lunch. The whole house was bursting with excitement.
