Chapter 56

Maurvi's POV

My alarm went off, and I got up, freshened up and prepared stuffed Paneer Parantha for breakfast as she had to leave early in the morning. Noopur had packed everything she needed.. I enjoyed her being here.

Kshitij came to pick her up and then she left with him after telling me to tell our parents about Gautam.

I had to go to college, so I thought of preparing lunch right away. Though I was a bit tense about telling his parents. I prepared lunch for all of them as aunty would be very tired after traveling.

I cooked Rajma masala, Baingan Bharta, stuffed grilled bell peppers and Jeera Rice. I took everything to their home as I knew that I would not be able to come before 5 PM.

I rang the bell and Siddharth opened the door. He smiled at me the moment he looked at me and took the tray from me. I asked him to wait for a minute.. and went back to my home to get breakfast for both of them, which I had made earlier.

" Oh my god.. are you alright ?? Why have you cooked so much? " He laughed. Just then Gautam came out smiling from the kitchen. I smiled at him.

" It is just that, I thought that,.. aunty would be too tired to prepare food today, so I... "

" How sweet... Let me see what, have you made. Oh my god!!! Everthing is my favourite. Thanks !! Mom would love it. Hey, by the way, are you trying to impress her by any chance?? " Siddharth asked me with a smirk.

" No, it was not like that. I swear..."

" Relax, beautiful, I was just teasing. He smiled at me. Gautam laughed and punched him lightly on his arm. " They both laughed.

Gautam took the breakfast Tray from me and hugged me lightly. " Good morning, beautiful. What is this?"

" I prepared breakfast for Noopur and Kshitij, so prepared for you as well. "

" Did I tell you that you are the best girl in the world? " Siddharth said with a grin and opened the lid.

" No. You didn't tell me that, so do it now. " I smiled.

" I just told bhai to prepare something to eat."

" Oh ok.. "

" Wow!! Paneer parantha... Love you. Thanks for this, or we would have eaten some boring toast... " He said and I smiled. He went inside to eat that.

" Bye... I have to go to college. Will be back by 5. "

" That long?? I will be back by lunch.. " I gave him a tensed smile and when I turned to go back he held my hand and asked, " Why are you so tense ? Have you had your breakfast? "

" Well no, I am not feeling very well and I am nervous. I tried eating but couldn't eat. I packed lunch for myself, will eat later on. " he checked my pulse.

" What happened ? There is no fever, it must be because of the tension. Why are you so tense?... They love you so much. "

" I don't know... Ok, I am getting late, I have to go. It is going to be a busy day at college. "

" Bye !! Take care and cheer up. " I nodded and gave him a faint smile.

Gautam's POV


I finished all my appointments for the day and my hours got finished... So I headed home... My dad had come home and mom had to go to her brother's home, she would be here by evening.

We all had the food... It was awesome...

" Wow!! From where did you get this food? It is awesome... just like home cooked food. " Dad said, taking another helping.

" It is home-cooked dad... " I said with a smile.

" You are not such a good cook..." dad said, teasing me.

" Bhai didn't make it. I had amazing food during this vacation, though mom was not here. I did not miss her cooking at least. I ate very nice and hot healthy home cooked food almost every day just as good as mom's food. "

" But how?? Who made that? " Dad asked, looking at us.

" Actually dad, bhai has a surprise for you."

" Shut up !! Sid. " I said glaring at him and he laughed.

" What is the surprise?? " Dad looked at me with amusement.

" Dad, it is a surprise... " Sid said.

" You have found a new mom for yourself, who cooks amazing food ? " He said and laughed at his own joke. My dad has a weird sense of humor...

" Hey, dad bingo !!! You are quite close.. " Sid said.

My dad chocked on his food... I shook my head and gave water to him.

" What nonsense?? I was just kidding... I love your mom yaar... Don't you dare to repeat this nonsense in front of her or she will throw me out of my own bedroom. "

Dad looked terrified. He is crazy about mom... Still keeps saying funny things.

" Dad !! I said, you are close... He found someone. And he wants her to be the mom of his children, she prepared all this and does that for him everyday. " Sid said and winked at me.

That idiot... can't he just keep quiet... I had to tell them in a better way. I didn't plan it in this way...

" Oh Thank god!! ...Wait... What?? You found a girl for yourself? " Dad looked at me with a shocked expression. I glared at Sid and then looked at dad and nodded.

" Wow!! Who is she?? Where did you meet her?? Are you serious about her?? Does she..."

" Wait dad, at least take a breath. I was going to tell you. Both you and mom, but this Sid is an idiot, I did not plan to tell you this way. "

" Way does not matter... Just tell me... everything. "

" Dad, I was planning for her to meet both of you. I thought that as it's mom's birthday... Can I invite her too? You both can meet her. But please don't tell mom till tomorrow. "

" That's a good idea... You must shock, I mean surprise your mother on her birthday... First you tell me about her.. "

" Tomorrow dad... "

" Are you really serious about her? "

" Yes dad. You both will like her." I said with a smile.

" Sid, you know, who she is? You have met her? "

" Many a times, dad... " He smirked at me. I glared at him but he was very excited.

" So?? What is she like? Did you like her ? "

" No dad... I did not like her. " he said with a serious face.

" What?? " Both dad and I looked at him. I was shocked to hear that.

" I did not like her, dad... I love her. She is great !! You will also not just like her, you will love her. She is good... no better... no best. She is best for bhai. And he is crazy about her."

" Now shut up Sid !!! "

" I want to meet her right away. "

" No dad, tomorrow... "

" Why?? If I can meet her tomorrow why not today? "

" Dad, please yaar... you are being difficult now. "

" And you are trying my patience now..."

" Dad, she is a bit nervous.."

" Nervous about what?? Have you told her about your feelings?" Dad asked and I nodded.

" What did she say?? Is she also serious about you? "

" Yes, dad she is... "

" Then what is the problem? "

" There is no problem dad... She is just a bit nervous to meet you. "

" Why? I am such a sweet, handsome, lovable father of yours. Why is she nervous to meet me? Did you tell her that I am a usual villain type strict father? How could you do that?"

" No dad !! Stop it please... Why can't you wait till tomorrow? "

" Ok, ok !! I will wait till tomorrow. Call her for breakfast or even better morning tea. "

" Dad !! " I looked at him and Sid and three of us burst out laughing. My dad has always been very sweet and funny. He always treated us like his friends and our mom like his queen.

" I am happy for you, that you found someone, but should I be happy for her ?"

" Dad... " I made a face and he smiled.

" Hey, I can't wait till tomorrow. Give me a hint atleast... " dad tried again.

My phone buzzed, it was lying on the table near dad. Dad looked at the screen and passed it to me. I looked at the number it was Prachi.

Why was she calling me all of a sudden?

I went out of the house to take the call.
