Chapter 14: Curse the love I feel for you!

Johnny finally completes part of the plan he had created 10 years ago, he left the murder weapon very close to Anthony's lifeless body on purpose since he had stolen it from two days before at a moment when the leader of one of the most respected and dreaded Mafias was distracted with his family, including his only grandson,leaving cautiously, guided by the various subordinates who were there to help him, almost bumping into Benjamin who was returning from the bathroom with a look of relief. Once was safe he ordered Taylor to get all his servants out of the restaurant and turn all the cameras back on, a bomb was about to go off and Johnny would just have to wait patiently.
While returning to the VIP room where he had left his father, Benjamin ended up bumping into DK, the two looked at each other with an expression of hostility:

“What are you doing here, Kicher?”

“Benjamin Hahn, how long. What I came here to do, I have already done and successfully. If you will excuse me, say hi to my beautiful Morena, bye!”

“Ah, you pretentious son of a bitch, I’m going to finish your life yet.”

And it was in this atmosphere of threat and rivalry that Benjamin entered the room with a seriuos expression, starting a conversation:

“Sorry for the delay Don, I suddenly felt really bad and have to go out, do you know who I ran into when I was coming back? The DK that bastard, I just didn't shoot him because I was outnumbered, 3 against 1. Are you listening to me? Benjamin approaches the table his father was leaning against, finally noticing the morbid surroundings, the semi-automatic pistol close to his left hand which he picks up in his despair when he sees a small pool of blood around Anthony, he notices that two bullets are missing from the pistol and gets closer to the body touching his wrist which no longer has a beat, his father was dead.

"Damn!"

Benjamin runs through the restaurant looking for the employee who served them at the beginning, questioning everyone he saw.

“We don’t have any employees named Trevor, I’m sorry sir.” And it was in the worst way that Benjamin discovered that he and Anthony had been lured into a deadly trap and now he had to warn the family and the other members of the Mafia led by Anthony Hahn. Benjamin makes a few calls before returning home, including to his murderous and manipulative brother-in-law.

“Johnny, I need help, my father is dead. They set us up.

"My God! How were you so careless? There were just the two of you? and the security guards?"

“My father he spoke it was not necessary for us to enter with security guards, it would attract attention, they stayed outside and my father wasn’t even armed to defend himself.” Benjamin responds with a choked voice

“I have important authorities on my payroll, don't worry, I'll make some calls and everything will be resolved with great discretion. Don't tell yet the rest of the family, just let me get home first.”

“Thanks Johnny!”

It was already Saturday morning when Benjamin and Johnny arrived at the apartment, finding Bella, Jimena and Théo having breakfast. The one who noticed Anthony's absence first was his wife.

“Where’s Tony?” silence prevailed

“Answer people! Where is my father, Benjamin? Did the deal work out and did he stay to sort things out?” Bella asks looking at the jug of orange juice on the table. However, Théo notices something wrong

“Mom, Uncle Benjamin is crying.”

Finally Bella looks towards her brother and her husband who pretends to cry too, she asks Théo to go to his room and only come out when called, at first the boy obeys.

“Tell me what happened.” Jimena gets impatient

“The mighty Anthony Hahn is dead.” Benjamin reveals, Jimena doesn't react and Bella gets up going towards her brother, grabbing him by the collar.

" What are you saying to me? Explain this properly, is it a prank?

" Unfortunately not. Your father was murdered in the VIP room of the restaurant he wanted to buy.” Johnny grabs Bella's hands and makes her let go of Benjamin

“It was all a trap and we fell in like two idiots. It’s my fault, I left him vulnerable.”

“That’s not true, you were a victim too. They put medicine in your drink on purpose and that's what saved you” Johnny tries to console his brother-in-law

“I would rather be dead with him.” Benjamin laments and soon feels a slap in the face

“Don't ever say that again. Besides being left without a husband, do you want to leave me without a one son? How selfish you are, Benjamin”

" I'm sorry mother"

“But now what are we going to do?” Jimena question thoughtful

“First we have to find out who killed our father, then we will inform the other members of what happened, we will bury our father in Miami. Johnny, could you contact that payroll police chief so he can help?”

“I already did that and also got a pendrive with the images from the cameras. I believe it can provide at least one clue as to your father’s killer.”

In the meantime, Théo appears in the living room, crying: “Mommy, did grandpa die?”

“Yes my son, grandpa went to heaven. But don’t worry, he became a little star and will always watch over each of us, okay?”

“Uncle Benjamin, do you promise that you will kill whoever did this to my grandfather?” the boy looks determinedly at his uncle

“I promise that the son of a bitch who killed your grandfather will pay dearly.”

" Thanks!"

“Théo, you’re only 10 years old and you shouldn’t talk like that.”

“I know I'm a child and that's why I asked Uncle Benjamin to kill the person who did this. Don't worry, mom, when I grow up, I'll protect you, grandma and everyone in our family. I will be the future Don of the Hahn family.”

“My God, son, stop playing with serious things.” Johnny tries to cut off the conversation

“I'm not kidding, Dad.” These words from Théo raised an alert in Johnny, Théo could be the successor not only of the Hahn family, but also of the Kicher family and all because of his origin.

After the boy went to his room obeying his mother's order, Johnny takes the notebook and puts the flash drive to run, the first image that appears is of the restaurant without much movement except for the arrival of DK and his subordinates.

“Isn’t that Dylan Daves?” Johnny pretends to be surprised

“What do you mean Dylan Daves? This guy is DK, the son of my father’s enemy.”

"Really? Did you know that, Bella? Johnny look at wife

“We'll talk about it later. Answer me, what was Dylan doing in the restaurant at the same time as my father and Benjamin.”

"I don't know. Let's continue"

In the next image, Benjamin appears holding a gun and noticing his father already dead.

“Did you kill our father?”

“Of course it wasn’t him, Benjamin is too scared for that.”

“Mom, please don’t defend me. But, to answer his question… it wasn't me. It was Dylan Kicher”

Bella felt a lump in her throat listening to her brother's explanation and at the same time remembering her lover's words on Thursday, which was the last day they saw each other: “I have something very important to do, even though it's night, I need to time to prepare.” And when the image shows DK leaving the restaurant exactly 10 minutes after Anthony's death, everyone deduces the same thing.”

“I don’t think I have any more doubts. I will resolve this now.” Benjamin prepares to get up and to go out, but Bella stops him.

"No. Let me go.” Bella grabs her bag and leaves

Inside her car, she calls Dylan to see if he was home, he replies no, he was resolving a situation and wouldn't arrive until later. They both turn off their cell phones. Next, the brunette was facing her lover's apartment, finding a way to open the door, going in and taking a look at the apartment, finding the restaurant contract that her father went to negotiate too and for her that could be proof end that DK killed your father. Bella returns to the living room, if sitting on the couch waiting for him to arrive, which doesn't take long.

"Hi brunette! What a good surprise. How did you enter here?”

“Using one of my skills.”

“And I love your skills. Come here, give me a kiss” Dylan takes a few steps towards the sofa where Bella is sitting

“Don’t come any closer, Dylan Kicher.” Bella takes out a 9mm pistol with a silencer on the end.

"What are you doing. Brunette?” He looks at her strangely.

“I’ll just ask once…Did you kill my father over a fucking restaurant?” She shows the contract I found on the bed

“I bought a restaurant at my father's request. But, I didn’t kill Anthony, I didn't even know he was there.”

“So you didn’t find my brother?”

“Bella, you are confused. Let me help you."

"Answer my question." she screams

“Yes, I bumped into Benjamin and we exchanged some hateful words and that was it, I went on my way, I didn’t see your father.” DK keeps trying to get close

“Why did you kill my father? He had already agreed to accept my divorce with Johnny. But you messed up.”

"Bella, look me in the eye and listen...I didn't kill your father."

“Damn the day I met you, damn the day I believed in you, curse you this love that I will die feeling for you.”

“It's a shame to hear that from you, my beautiful Morena. Even if I die here today, know that you were the only woman I loved and no matter how much our families hated each other, I would never kill your father, because I love you, Bella Hahn.”

"Arrives! This ends here. I hate you Dylan Kicher.” And finally, Bella, even with her eyes full of tears and her heart torn apart, she shoots DK who falls to the ground.
