Chapter 89: Rebecca's Resentment

DK gathered Enrico and detailed the plan to invade your Kicher mansion. He ordered his subordinate to mobilize a small army with extreme discretion, ensuring that Johnny's spies would not suspect anything. The strategy was to create the illusion of normality, leaving the ambush completely unexpected. Bella, however, did not want to be left out of the action.

"I want to participate. I'm not going to just watch," she declared determinedly.

Dylan was categorical: "This is my territory. But if it calms you down, I'll let you watch my triumph." Despite his arrogant tone, Bella pretended to accept with a slight smile. As soon as she walked away, she picked up the phone and called Mackenzie.

"I want you to find a strategic point and get ready. I need your eyes open and your infallible aim," he ordered. "Understood, boss. I'm on my way," the sniper replied, already preparing his equipment. Meanwhile, some cars began to arrive at the mansion, bringing men with menacing looks, all armed to the teeth. The atmosphere grew tense, making it clear that a confrontation was inevitable. The initial silence was just the prelude to a storm that was about to break out.

Rebecca got out of one of the cars with an air of confidence, walking to the gate of the imposing mansion. Her heels echoed along the way as she pressed the intercom. On the other side, Nona, well instructed by DK, calmly answered:

"Yes, who's there?"

"It's me, Nona. Open the gate now and don't try anything funny. The house is surrounded. If you don't open it willingly, we'll come in anyway. The difference is that you're going to die along with those idiots you call security guards," Rebecca threatened, bringing her face closer to the intercom camera to make her message clear.

Without much delay, the gate opened. Johnny's henchmen hurriedly ran towards the main entrance, while Rebecca followed behind, parading as if she had already won. However, her expression of triumph evaporated when she saw that twice as many men as she had brought appeared to surround them. The confrontation was inevitable, but brief. Those who survived surrendered, including Rebecca, who had no choice.

Inside the mansion, Rebecca was deliberately placed in the armchair in the living room, under the watchful eye of Patrick.

"Why haven't you killed me yet?" she asked, trying to maintain her pose.

"Because he didn't give me permission," Patrick replied, enigmatically.

"Him? Who?" Rebecca frowned, confused.

At that moment, DK came down the stairs with slow, measured steps, stopping in front of the blonde. His serious and controlled expression made Rebecca hold her breath.

"You know, Rebecca, I always knew you were no good," DK began. "Years of warning my father, but he refused to listen. And look, I was right." "DK? You're alive? But I saw on the news that no one had survived!" Rebecca exclaimed in disbelief.

"And you still think you're smart," DK replied mockingly. "What you saw was media manipulation. Money works miracles, Rebecca. A little theater that I staged especially for you and your friend, Johnny Iverson."

"Shit!" Rebecca sighed, resigned.

"I never imagined my end would be like this. I planned a very different future... I loved you, DK. When Alexander Kicher sponsored me and promised that I would marry you, I had high hopes. But it only took one season away and, when I came back, you were with another woman in your bed! And not just any woman... The daughter of your father's worst enemy! Anger, envy, everything took over me. I was humiliated. That's when I decided to tell Alexander about your affair with Bella. He was furious and called Dean to confirm. He believed me, but you thought Dean was the traitor. I just let it happen. After that, in an attempt to redeem myself with Alexander, I saved your life... and I kept that secret for years, until the opportunity for revenge arose. You despised me, DK. You stepped on my feelings. So, yes, I wanted to see your end. But not just yours. Also Bella's and your brat of a son."

"What about Oliver? You always knew he loved you, you had the chance to be happy, but you preferred to dig your own grave."

"To me, he was always a poor thing guy that I could take advantage of however I wanted. That idiot put his friend in the hospital because of a false accusation. Jacob would never touch me without my permission, but I just had to pretend he fell right." Rebecca smiles and Oliver can't help himself as he appears in front of the woman with no limits.

"Oh, look who also survived. Why am I not surprised?" Rebecca commented, crossing her arms in disdain.

"Let's face it, Oliver, you asked to be fooled." the blonde gives a wink and a sideways smile at the irritated tall, muscular man, who goes at Rebecca, but DK holds him back and as Rebecca smiles uncontrollably, she suddenly feels a sharp slap to the face that makes her turn around her body completely to the side and while tasting her own blood, she looks for who hit her.

Rebecca, with a sarcastic smile, shrugged her shoulders in a gesture of disregard.

Rebecca looked up, confused, as she felt the metallic taste of her own blood. "Bella Hahn!"

"Hey, bitch," Bella replied coldly, crossing her arms.

"Were you in on this act too?" Rebecca asked, wiping the corner of her mouth with the back of her hand.

"Actually, the whole plan was mine. I'm smart, rich, and powerful enough to come up with something like this," Bella replied with a self-sufficient smile.

The tension in the room increased when Rebecca saw an opportunity to react. In a quick movement, she stood up, knocking Bella to the ground. She tried to overpower her, but Bella, agile and trained, reversed the situation, standing up in seconds. The two stood face to face, exchanging defiant looks before starting an intense and calculated fight. It was no ordinary fight; each blow demonstrated the preparation and skill of both in hand-to-hand combat.

When DK, Oliver, and the other subordinates tried to interfere, Bella immediately interrupted, shouting, "Don't even think about getting in our way."

The fight continued evenly, until Bella made a small slip. Taking advantage of the moment, Rebecca struck her head, making her stagger. Bella took a few steps back, trying to regain her balance, when she saw Rebecca pull out a small sharp object and advance towards her.

Showing sharp reflexes, Bella delivered a violent kick, knocking Rebecca down. The villain fell hard, hitting her head on the step of the stairs. Bella remained still for a moment, breathing heavily, trying to catch her breath.

But then, her eyes widened when she saw Kevin approaching with a gun in his hands, pointed directly at her. A shot rang out, interrupting the tense silence that had taken over the room.
