Chapter 43: Lies, Hurt and Excitement.

Dylan stares at the uniform Bella was wearing, his perverted thoughts flew away as he looked at the beautiful brunette's thick thighs, her thin waist and the cleavage that showed a bit of her voluminous breasts. He paid so much attention that he didn't even hear the explanation about what was happening and finally:

"That's it, do you understand?" Bella calls Dylan's attention, who is forced to wake up from his private trance.

"I don't care, just don't show up in front of me."

"As for me, I don't care at all about showing up in front of you. Can we continue, Mrs. Grasso?"

"Sure! Let's go outside the house."

Bella walks past Dylan who feels her perfume exuding in the air, dilating his pupils. The urge he had at that moment was to grab her and kiss her right there, but he had to restrain himself, watching her just walk away and she, on her side, glances at him as she walks next to the housekeeper.

"I thought I was going grab heryou by force right here." Rebecca makes DK notice her presence

“Stop talking nonsense and tell me what’s going on?”

“Your ex-girlfriend already told you (pauses to look at DK with a mocking expression and then continues…) You didn’t pay attention to what she was saying, did you? DK, you almost had a relapse, didn’t you?”

“Rebecca, if you don’t want to tell me, I’ll ask Nona later.”

“Okay, I’ll tell you. No need to get upset. Bella is going to work as a maid for a month to earn money and go back to New York.”

“Did my father agree to this?”

“I think so, otherwise Mrs. Grasso wouldn’t be helping her.”

DK goes straight to his father who was in his room trying to recover from the sudden pain he felt because of his illness, hearing nervous knocks on the door he imagined it was his son and hid the blood-stained handkerchief he had just coughed up.

“Come in, Dylan!” Alexander settles into bed

“Dad, why did you let Bella become a maid? Why didn’t you give her the money to leave?”

“Do you think I didn’t ask her that? She said she didn’t want to owe anyone anything and that she preferred to work to earn money. At least that damn Antony knew how to raise his daughter in that regard.” Alexander tries to control his coughing and at first he succeeds, but as the conversation goes on it becomes unbearable.

“Believe me, Dad, it wasn’t just in this regard that Antony Hahn knew how to raise Bella. I know her character well.”

“And your new girlfriend? Do you know her self too?” Alexander coughs harder, looking for a handkerchief to cover his mouth so that DK doesn’t see his blood.

“Why did Deanne join the conversation? She’s a woman who grew up without her father’s love, without the protection of a family. Dad, are you okay?” Dylan tries to get closer, but Alexander reprimands him

“Is that why you want to marry her? Give her some money and let her go before something really bad happens. Don't come any closer and get out of here.”

“Okay! But our conversation isn't over yet.”

In the meantime, Deanne approaches the kitchen looking for something to eat and when she notices the cook and the maid comment among themselves:

“Did you see how beautiful Bella Hahn is?”

“I had already seen her in an interview for a local newspaper. Besides being beautiful, she is also successful. Despite being the daughter of you know who.”

“Still, I prefer Bella to this Deanne. I heard that she is the daughter of the manager who robbed the powerful big boss. Mr. DK gave the order to kill her father and yet she agreed to come with him and be his girlfriend. Don’t you think that’s strange?”

At that moment, Deanne became angry and entered the kitchen: “I never thought that the maids in this house would gossip so much. You are paid to work, aren’t you?”

“Sorry, Miss Deanne! From now on, we will only pay attention to our work. Would you like something to eat?” The cook tries to ease the situation by praying that the future new female boss hasn't heard the whole conversation.

“Yes, I want.”

“What would it be?”

“Liver and heart of nosy maids. Listen, when I marry DK and become the mistress of this house, the first thing I'm going to do is fire you both.”

“Don't worry girls, if she really fires you, I'll hire you.” Bella arrives in the kitchen being looked at from head to toe by Deanne

“What are those clothes?”

“A maid's uniform, can't you see?”

“Is that how you're going to get jobs for your colleagues?” Deanne is arrogant

“I don't intend to be a maid for long. Besides, I don't owe you an explanation.”

“Actually, you do. If you're now one of the maids, then Deanne is in the position of boss since she's my girlfriend and future fiancée. So you do owe her an explanation.” DK also arrives in the kitchen,

“What are you doing here?”

“I came to get something to eat, I heard the female cook and the other kitchen maid talking and I wanted to join in, but they treated me so badly and to make matters worse your ex-girlfriend came here trying to intimidate me.” Deanne plays the victim, leaving Bella and the others perplexed by the blatant lies she told.

“Mag, make a snack for Deanne and take it to her room, and as for you Bella Hahn, if I see you intimidating my girlfriend again, I won’t even want to know I’ll kick you out right away.” DK looks nervous before taking Deanne’s hand to leave.

“The thing is, Dylan Kicher, I have an agreement with your father who is the real boss here, as far as I know. So, you don’t need to threaten me because of your lying bitch.” Bella looks at her ex-boyfriend.

“You’re playing with fire.”

“Really? You know very well that I love playing with fire. falls within if you have courage.”

Deanne realizes that the atmosphere between the two was heating up and pulls DK close to her and then takes him out of the kitchen, Bella breathes a sigh of relief giving a thumbs up to sher new colleagues who smile at her.
