Chapter 36: Bella, you idiot!

Alexander and Rebecca look at DK perplexed by what they have just heard, staring at the two huge suitcases of the unknown girl who, observing the beginning of the discussion, tries to manipulate the situation to her side:

"I'm sorry, Mr. Kicher, I know I wasn't supposed to be here, but I accepted DK's invitation because I was feeling lonely and helpless, my father always had a dubious character and the result of that was death. However, I didn't agree with this behavior and, at the moment, I have nowhere to go back to, and as for being your son's girlfriend, (Deanne looks at DK with a smile on her lips) we're just getting to know each other."

Alexander looks at the girl with a still serious expression, but asks one of the maids to help her settle into one of the rooms. Rebecca, for her part, looks at her godfather and runs out of the house. Oliver follows her immediately and manages to catch up with her easily:

"Where are you going? Calm down!"

"Calm down? Are you serious, Oliver?" DK brought a stranger and introduced her to the best man as his girlfriend. And I never meant anything to him, he had no regard for me, I thought after the shit Bella did I'd have a chance and now this. Who is this woman that DK has set up?" Rebecca tries to control her anger.

"Let's go for a walk and I'll tell you everything I know, including my impression of this woman."

The two of them get into Rebecca's Porsche, but Oliver drives, as the blonde is still shaking with rage and could cause an accident. DK's right-hand man drives through Miami's upscale neighborhoods until he parks near a bar, they sit on the terrace and order a cold drink:

"Stop winding me up and tell me everything you know about this Deanne what's-her-name."

"Okay, no need to freak out. She's the daughter of the guy who ran the hotel and casino in San Diego, the one who embezzled money, it just so happens that she attracted attention because of her sassy way and its beauty and I believe DK found similar to Bella." Oliver began to develop the story.

Since when the one without salt look like Bella? Jeez! I don't like that slut, but comparing her to this Deanne girl is fucked."

"It's just that to me you're much prettier than both of them put together. (Oliver sighs)... anyway, I meant the strong personality."

"Stop playing with serious things. Is that all you have to tell me about this woman? And the fact that she's the daughter of the one who robbed his father didn't count for a minute?"

"At first, yes. But she told him a sad story and he accepted her and asked her to courtship him. The impression I get from watching her is that she sees DK as a great opportunity to finally be someone, think about it, what woman in her right mind wouldn't want to date the prince of the Mafia knowing that he's going to be the heir in the near future, because Alexander is getting older and that's a fact."

"If it was only his old age that was the concern, but perhaps DK will have to take over his father's position much sooner than he realizes, so we have to get rid of this opportunist now before it's too late."

"It won't be that easy, you know that once he gets something into his head it's hard to get it out, and if he suspects that any plan has come from you he'll never accept it and will say that you're just picking on him because you're jealous."

"True. I'll watch her closely and think about what to do."

"Right. Just don't hurt yourself any more, please!" Oliver touches Rebecca's hand, which was on the table, and when she notices he simply takes it away.

"Don't worry about me."

Just then, Oliver's cell phone rings and he picks it up only to reply that he's on his way.

**At the Kicher Mansion**

Alexander and Dylan had a nasty argument about the boy's rash decisions to bring home a total stranger who was also the daughter of the man who robbed him. DK retorted that his new girlfriend didn't know about his father's, cheats and Alexander let out a loud laugh:

"Do you really believe that? How are you going to run the business being that dumb?"

"Dad, don't even get me started."

"So what? It's the same profile of a woman who's a scammer, attractive, pretty, plays innocent and in the end just wants money and status. Be careful Dylan not to fall for the same scam again, look what happened to Bella Hahn who tried to kill you with no regrets and that bitch still had the nerve to come here asking for help to find her son saying that the bastard is my grandson." Alexander replies

"Bella was telling the truth, Théo is my son. And by the way, do you know if they've found the boy yet?"

"Dylan, how can you tell me this so calmly, there's Hahn family blood running through that bastard's veins."

"Don't talk like that, because there's Kicher blood in those veins too, since he's your grandson."

"Don't say that again."

"Tell me if you've found my son." DK gets angry

"What I know is that Benjamin killed himself, Sebastian Iverson was ill, had a heart attack and died too and what they're saying is that Bella ceded the right to take over the Hahn family to her husband and I don't know anything else."

DK is worried by everything he's heard, but disguises it and gives his father a warning:

"I'm going to get my son and he's going to stay here with me, understand?". Alexander answered nothing and DK called each of his subordinates with the order to look for Théo all over Miami, especially in hotels and other properties and establishments belonging to the Hahn family and also where there was more security and that's what they did, Oliver said goodbye to Rebecca to carry out his mission and met up with Jacob and the two of them went out to ask people who also belonged to the underworld and this information led them to a neighborhood a little removed from all the luxury of the centers, Oliver spots two security guards at the entrance of a house with an ordinary facade. Looking a little further on, there are other men in plain clothes with guns in their waists, and suspicion turns to certainty when Taylor, Johnny's loyal subordinate, comes out of the house with another security guard following him:
"We found the house."

"I'm coming."

A few minutes later, DK joined Jacob and Oliver, taking other subordinates with them to eliminate those who were trying to get in the way. They managed to get into the house, searching everything and finding only one room locked, which forced them to break down the door as they didn't have the key. When DK realized that Bella was also trapped with Théo, he was surprised after not seeing her for so long. His heart involuntarily started beating harder, he stopped and Oliver, noticing this, touched his boss's shoulder and he finally let out his voice:

"Come on, get up from there, we haven't got time."

Bella immediately recognized DK's voice, but in her mind it was impossible because her lover was dead. She finally looked in the direction of the thick, velvety voice.

"Dylan?!" Bella faints

"Damn it! This is no time for that!" Dylan exclaims and Théo goes to his fainted mother

"Who are you people? I won't let you hurt me and my mother."

"It's okay, Théo! We've come to save you and your mother. Come with me."

"And who are you?"

"A long-time friend of yours. If you come with me, I'll explain everything to you later."

"All right! I guess I don't have a choice."

Théo gets up and heads for the door, while Jacob walks past everyone, intending to pick up Bella, who was still passed out, and take her with him. However, DK reprimands him.

"What do you think you're doing?"

"Picking Bella up to take her with me, or maybe you're thinking of leaving her here?" Jacob replies and Théo looks at Dylan, who follows his subordinate's example.

"Let me carry her." Dylan approaches his ex-girlfriend looking at every part of her body noticing some bruises, trying not to care, but not succeeding.

"Bella, you idiot! I was willing to face anything for you. How did things end up like this?" Dylan whispers as he carries her away from captivity, at which point Bella opens her eyes

"Forgive me, Dylan!"
