Chapter 17: Jimena, a nothing protective mother.

Johnny smiled sarcastically, making himself better comfortable on the sofa, completely changing his facial expression from naive to a perverse tone, which didn't surprise Jimena:

“I don’t know how no one noticed his true face, a wolf in sheep’s clothing.”

“You’re absolutely right, Jimena. But now how are you going to help me? Or better yet, why don’t you keep to yourself and just watch the scenes from the next chapters?”

“It’s not that simple, I want my part in this shit, otherwise I’ll be forced to tell you everything I saw.”

“You’re bluffing.” Johnny smiles to mockery and Jimena takes out his cell phone sending a video directly to his son-in-law and when he opens it:

“Old woman son of a bitch.”

“Ow, old woman not and look at the language. It's not my fault your plan wasn't as perfect as you imagined. Who would have thought that the camera that my perverted husband installed to film the sex with the different women here in this office would be able to catch you, right, my dear son-in-law? I hope he's burning in hell now.” Then it's JImena's turn to smile, sitting in the armchair that belonged to the powerful Anthony Hahn, looking at Johnny's almost despair.

“You will give me a copy of this video.” He gets furious, getting up and going against the woman with brown hair with a few gray strands and despite her 58 years, her beauty was enviable. She simply points the gun again at Johnny who stops immediately.

“So reckless. Poor little thing! With this attitude you will never become the “Don”, no one will respect you just like it is now. Do you know why Benjamin became the new leader? It is not because of his competence, but because of his inheritance. Tony was right not to let that brat take over, he's not ready and he's definitely going to falter and when that happens you have to be ready.”

“Do you really know what you are doing? Benjamin is your son.” Even Johnny is impressed by Jimena's coldness

"Yes. And I love him, but I want to maintain my status and spare my son's life because if I understood the mechanics of his almost brilliant plan, his next victim would be Benjamin and as for the video, know that the one I showed you is just a copy and if something happens to me this video will go to all subordinates who follow the name Hahn.”

“So, what do you want to maintain your status?”

“Not only that, I want to help you gain leadership of the family, but in return you leave my children and grandson alone.”

“Alive!”

“My grandson is an innocent child and is not to blame for his mother’s mistakes.”

"All good! I won’t hurt Théo.”

“Great, then we have a deal.” Jimena shakes Johnny's hand, creating an unlikely partnership, then everyone goes back to their tasks as if nothing had happened, he goes to his room and finds Bella who was still crying, arranging some clothes in the closet, Johnny walks past her without saying anything. However, she tries to talk:

“I finally managed to get Théo to sleep, he still cried a lot.” Bella looks of her husband in the corner, slowing down what he was doing, but he just takes off his clothes and before entering the bathroom:

"Are you still mad with me? I already apologized.” she sighed loudly shaking her head when she saw Johnny continue without answering her.

Minutes later, Johnny comes back wearing only a pair of sweatpants while still drying his dark blonde hair, his eyes purposefully diverted from the direction where Bella was.

“Aren’t you really going to talk to me?”

“I’m going to sleep in the guest room!”

“Johnny, stay with me today, I’m not well, I just buried my father, please.” Bella holds her husband's hand and he simply lets go and says:

" Goodnight!"

This was the first time that Bella felt how cold Johnny could be, for a few seconds she was still standing in the middle of the bedroom thoughtful trying to hold herself back from going after him and starting a fight, instead she preferred to go take a shower in the Intention to relax, she open on the shower instead of the bathtub, turned on music loud enough to cover the intense, bitter crying at the same time that flashes of memory came to his mind, both from moments with his father and moments with Dylan, his mind was Confused and her heart broken, Bella mourned for over an hour. Leaving the bathroom, she put on a Babydoll and a hobby for top, opening the first drawer of the desk next to the bed catching a bottle of sleeping pills, she swallows one and lays her beautiful curvy body that looked small on the gigantic bed,turning around side to side, not even the black stripe pill could make her sleep like before, so she decides to go to Théo's room, settling down next to her son and finally being able to sleep.
The next day everyone was at the table for breakfast and Bella pronounce:

“Tomorrow I will be returning to New York, I need to continue the company’s business there and Théo is going with me.” Jimena stares at Johnny for 5 seconds, Benjamin observe the situation but as he doesn't understand nor question it

“Bella, when did you decide to come back. You didn’t even tell me anything.” Johnny tries to question

“If you weren't wasting time being cold to me, maybe I would have told you. Excuse me!" Bella gets up completely irritated, everyone looks at Johnny including the two maids and James, Benjamin's now subordinate, who were spread across the dining room.

“Where are you going now, daughter?”

“Chloe’s house, want to come with me?”

"No. I’m going to stay here and sort out some household matters with the employees.”

“And you, Théo. Do you want to come with mom?”

“Oh no mom, every time you go there you chattering for a long time and I'm already big if you haven't noticed.”

“Leave him to me, let’s play video games, do you want son?” Johnny butts in

“If you come with me, I’ll buy you that video game you asked me for last year, remember?”

“I’m sorry dad, but I have to go.” the boy gets up from the table all excited

“Of course son. When you arrive we can to play if you want.” Johnny responds with an not funny smile, feeling his wife's green eyes upon him.

“Is brother-in-law, I think you’re in trouble. And to be honest I also need to go, I have a meeting in 45 minutes.”

“Ben, my son. Why don't you take Johnny with you? Who knows, maybe he’ll help you with anything you need.”

" Beauty! You have 10 minutes to get ready.”

As Johnny puts on a dark gray suit, finishing buttoning his jacket, he hears someone open the door to his room.

" Why are you here? Has anyone seen you?”

" Of course not. And even if they saw they would never say anything, I rule in everyone in this house. Now shuts up and explains exactly what you did to Bella act the way she acted at coffee time.”

“Yesterday in several ways she tried to talk to me and I didn’t respond.”

" Just that?"

“There's also the part where she was feeling fragile and asked me to stay with her and I just ignored her.”

" Damn it! You have to fix this no matter what. She’s on alert against you and that’s not good.”

“Easy to say.”

“Man, you’re so articulate, manipulative and you’ve lived with Bella for over 10 years and you don’t know how to reverse this situation? Do it today or your plan to be the leader of being the leader of the whole damn thing will fall apart.”.”

“From the beginning I knew that Bella would be my biggest obstacle, but I also know how to tame the beast.”
