Chapter 39: female Liar!

Johnny is furious with the news and goes to meet Taylor, who already had the camera footage at his boss's disposal, who could hardly believe what he was seeing:

“That bastard didn't die? Did Bella lie to me when she said she killed him? Geez! Why am I so surprised by this?”

“What are we going to do now, boss?”

“What do you want to do? Invade Kicher territory to rescue that bitch and her insufferable son and get shot in the head? If that's what you want, go ahead and die alone. I'll wait for them to make a mistake, and until then, I have business to manage and people to boss around.”

“What do I do with the men who died?”

“Bury them, throw them in some ditch, I don't know. I don't care.” Johnny gets back in his luxury car and drives away, leaving his subordinate with a big problem to solve.

Meanwhile, at the Kicher mansion, Bella was sitting on the edge of the bed, her emotions on edge for having met Dylan again. The feeling of regret she felt before only got worse when she added the love she still felt for him and the feeling of loss when she saw her great love kissing another woman. Theo, who was in the shower, approached his mother, who was startled because she didn't notice her son approaching:

"Mom, are you crying because of our situation or because of that guy who claims to be my father?" Bella wiped her tears with her fingertips and pulled her son closer to her:

"Listen, son, regardless of what happened in my past, I'm sorry we're in this situation. It was my fault, and I promise I'll get us both out of this shit."

"It's going to be okay, Mom. I trust you." The boy hugged Bella, who hugged him back. At that moment, someone knocked on the door and walked in. It was the housekeeper, who with ill will entered the room with a few pieces of clothing in her hand.

“My bambino told me to bring these clothes for the boy and said he’s getting some clothes for you, but it might take a while.”

“I don’t want these clothes, I can keep the ones I had.” The boy is rude and stubborn, but his mother shows humility by standing up and limping because when she was pushed into the room with Theo, she not only hit her head but also hurt her right leg. The housekeeper pretends not to notice.

“Thank you, ma’am! And I’m sorry for my son’s rudeness. But as for clothes for me, just a T-shirt and pants will do.” Bella smiles slightly, taking the clothes from Nona’s hand, who looks at her curiously, but soon leaves, being approached by Dylan who was without Deanne following him. He takes her to his room and asks everything he wanted:

“So, did you give the clothes to Theo? And how is he?”

“I gave him the clothes, but he wasn’t the one who received them, but his mother, who surprised me with her humility. She even thanked me and apologized on her son’s behalf. I expected a member of the Hahn family to be more arrogant and snobbish, but that wasn’t what she showed. She even told me not to bother with her, a simple T-shirt and pants would be fine.”

“Yes, Bella is just like that.” Dylan looks thoughtful

“But, don’t forget that she tried to kill you.” Nona pokes the wound

“I haven’t forgotten, in fact this is a thorn that still hurts in my heart.”

“So you still love her and want some advice, young master? Get rid of her soon if you want to move on with your new girlfriend.”

“You are always wise, Nona.”

“I appreciate the compliment, Bambino!” The housekeeper leaves, deciding not to tell about Bella’s injuries because she doesn’t want Dylan to worry

Bella, with difficulty and feeling a lot of pain in her body, manages to take a bath wearing simple clothes that another maid brought for her, trying to ignore everything she felt, she just lay down next to her son who was already asleep. However, it didn't take long for Bella to start shaking and feeling chills. Théo wakes up and, noticing his mother's situation, tries to call her, but she doesn't wake up. So he decides to go for help, knocking on all the doors on that floor, but only one person opens the door:

"Théo!? What's wrong, son? Why are you so agitated?"

"My mother isn't okay. Please help her." the boy asks, crying, and Dylan runs so fast that in his desperation he loses one of his sandals. While running to Bella's room, Deanne, noticing the noise, ends up getting up and opening the door. She notices Dylan and his son running by, distressed. She decides to follow him and doesn't like it at all when she sees what's happening.

"Bella, you're burning up with fever." DK takes the blanket off the beautiful brunette, looking at her body, starting with the cut on her head that had started bleeding again. Then he runs his hands and eyes down his ex-girlfriend's body, noticing some purple bruises on her. Finally, when he was pulling down the loose sweatpants that the maid had brought her earlier, he hears a scream:

“No! Let me do it.” Deanne approaches, trying to take her boyfriend's place, who finally notices her presence, but this doesn't intimidate him and he just gives her an order:

“Could you get the first aid kit for me from the in the bathroom, under the closet? please?”

“Me? Ask the boy, I'm not leaving you alone with that woman under any circumstances.”

“Are you seriously jealous now? Can't you see that she's feeling sick and in no condition?” DK looks at Deanne, who remains motionless, but mumbles something that DK doesn't hear, but Théo does…”For all I care, she could die right now.” The boy just stares at the mean woman with a strange look, but at that moment helping his mother was more important and he volunteered to get the suitcase. However, DK had to leave to get his cell phone and call the family doctor to see Bella, leaving her in Deanne's care and taking advantage of the fact that no one was looking, DK's new girlfriend presses Bella's leg wound, who screams in pain even though she is still unconscious. It turns out that Théo arrives just in time and shouts:

"What are you doing to my mother, woman damn?"

"Théo, why are you yelling?" DK arrives just in time

"Your girlfriend was hurting my mother." the boy answers and DK looks at Deanne who pretends to be naive

"I didn't hurt your mother, Théo. You saw it wrong, I think he must be in shock from everything he went through, don't you think so too, love?" The articulate and unscrupulous woman looks at DK, who is speechless, leaving the boy indignant and going after the woman.

“ Female Liar! I know what I saw, you were hurting my mother.”

“Théo, calm down and give me the first aid kit. I’ve already called the doctor and he’ll be here soon to see your mother. But I ask that you don’t accuse anyone without proof. Deanne isn’t a bad person and you’ll have to get used to her.”

“Never!”

Théo looks at Deanne, who looks at him with a debauched and victorious smile, thus sealing the first clash between the two.
