Chapter 49: How much falsehood!

The housekeeper looks at Deanne with a serious expression, not quite understanding what her young boss's girlfriend's objective was, and decides to ask:

“Excuse my intrusion, but I don't understand why you want to go to the hospital with me. You've already made it very clear that you don't like Miss Bella, much less her son.”

“Oh, old lady. (Deanne sighed, rolling her eyes) For a mere maid, you're very nosy. Since when do you meddle in your bosses' lives like that? Of course I don't like Bella, much less that brat, but my future fiancé is in that hospital and so is my future father-in-law.”

“Hmm! I can't deny that you're smart. You want to act like Mr. Dylan's attentive girlfriend, but be careful because this old maid here, who has worked in this house for 40 years, knows very well that your boyfriend doesn't like clingy women. I also know that in his entire life, he's only loved one woman. And you want to know, Miss. Deanne, it's not you.” Nona teases, observing the woman's expression of hatred, but she manages to control herself when she realizes that the housekeeper had her hand in her pocket the whole time trying to record something trying to record something more compromising, as if that were possible.

“I'm willing to change this situation, I really fell in love with Dylan and I want to be by his side at all times, including these difficult ones. So, try to accept me instead of judging me. Please, Mrs. Grasso.” Nona looks at Deanne in bewilderment, who had the cynical expression she has when she's making fun of someone.

“You're good at this.” Nona smiles, taking her hand out of her pocket and going upstairs to pack the suitcase.

Minutes later, the housekeeper appears in the living room where Deanne was sitting comfortably, and without saying anything, she walks towards the door, and Deanne, upon seeing her, runs a little to catch up with her.

“Wait for me, old. Didn't you hear that I'm coming with you?”

Inside the car, already on the way to the hospital, Nona turns to Deanne and says: “Give me back Théo’s cell phone, which you took and were snooping around in. By the way, why did you do that? Did you think there was something in it that might compromise you?” Nona looks back because she was sitting next to the driver, who was also one of the Kicher family’s bodyguards. The man looks at Deanne through the of the rear view mirror and she gets a little nervous.

“I picked it up from the floor because it was lying there and I looked it on impulse. Stop talking nonsense, I know you don’t like me, but making up stories is too much, don’t you think?” Deanne once again give a good answer and all the rest of the way silence prevailed.

In the meantime, Oliver manages to transfer almost all the compromising videos recorded of Deanne to a flash drive, grabs a notebook and leaves in his own car towards the hospital, he speeds as much as he can. At the hospital, Nona arrives with her clothes and Deanne in tow.

“What are you doing here?”

“I came to see my future stepson and support my boyfriend.”

“Wow! How Woman thoughtful.” DK smiles and gives Deanne a peck on the lips.

“Wow! How falsehood.” Bella reacts to the scene.

“Are you jealous, honey? Go away.”

“To go out? Are you crazy? This is my son’s room and right now you’re the one who’s left over here.”

“Is it true, my love, am I the one who’s left over here?”

“Of course not. For me, you’re always welcome. Bella’s just nervous because of Théo.” DK strokes Deanne’s hair and Bella remembers when he used to do exactly the same gesture to her hair. Suddenly her eyes fill with tears and so that no one can see her weakness, she turns to Nona asking for the suitcase with clothes she brought. The housekeeper hands it to Bella, noticing the tears in her eyes and becoming sad along with the brunette.

“Mr. Dylan, you shouldn’t do these things here. Your son is bedridden in front of you.” Nona calls out and Deanne glares at her, but the housekeeper ignores her.

“You’re right.”

In the bathroom, Bella cries softly about the disappointment and sadness she felt at that moment while changing her clothes and finally washing her face, combing her long black hair, taking a deep breath before leaving.

“Now I’m ready.”

“Beautiful as always.” Dylan whispers when he sees the mother of his child come out of the bathroom dressed casually in jeans and a dark green baby look blouse.

“What Shit!” Deanne makes a face, sticking her tongue out as if she was going to vomit.

“Dylan, since your girlfriend is here and you’re dying to express your passion for each other, why don’t you take her for a walk?”

“You finally have a good idea. Let’s go, honey?” Deanne grabs her boyfriend’s arm, pulling him gently, but…

“And leaving you alone to take care of Théo? I don’t want to.”

“Seriously? Now you want to play the worried father? I raised Théo for almost 11 years alone without your help and as he himself said, Johnny, despite everything, was a better father than you, despite all his mistakes.”

“Are you throwing my mistakes in my face, is that it?”

“I have every right to do that. I’m just fighting back.”

“Okay! But that doesn’t strip the fact that Théo is my son and I want to protect him, better late than never, don’t you think?”

“You think you’re protecting him? It’s the opposite, you exposed your son to danger when you introduced him to that psychopath you call your girlfriend. I still don’t have any proof, but I think she was the one who pushed Théo down the stairs and if that’s true, Deanne will pay dearly for trying to kill my son.”

“Shut up! You’re talking a lot of nonsense, Deanne would never do something like that, we all have flaws and I know she does too, but this accusation is too serious for me to let it go.”

“And what are you going to do? Kill me?”

“No. I’m going to kick you out of my house, you won’t set foot in there anymore, Nona pay you the days you worked, I’m not going to kick you out of here now because I think Théo will find it strange that you’re not here, but as soon as he wakes up and is better, you’ll disappear from my presence.” Dylan is harsh and cruel to Bella

“So this is your true face. It’s as if I’m going to leave my son in your hands and in the hands of that one woman.”

While Bella and Dylan were arguing, Oliver arrives in the room: Dylan, Bella is right, it was your girlfriend who pushed Théo down the stairs and I have proof.

“What the fuck are you talking about, Oliver?”
