Route 1: Preparations Part 3

**Scarlet Aubrielle**

“Oh, you already two already have an idea just by looking at it for a few seconds huh?” that is what I said, well I just feigned the surprised looked on my face so that it will not look like I already anticipated it from happening.

Well, I don’t really want to look like too experienced or knowledgeable regarding this matter because it will also spur up suspicion especially to my family. Of course, they know Scarlet Aubrielle too well and they have been watching over her since she is a child and so they will surely ask question on why is it possible that I have known such things when in fact they have made sure that she will grow up differently - that she will be carefree and away from the chaos of their lives as Elvois.

“I already know Theo since he is the knight my brother is close with so I am going to go first with you” I said as I pointed at Lucas, well I only addressed him as ‘you’ because I am acting as I don’t know him yet, because I really shouldn’t know him yet. I cannot just say his name carelessly because for sure Theo will report everything that happened today to my brother.

I cannot let him say a lot of things that will surely have Calyx be suspicious or worse wary of him. I am sure enough that after he have reported everything to Calyx, he will then ask me questions.

“First, introduce yourself before you say what you have noticed in the illustration I have given” that is what I said and he nod his head.

“Lucas Williams is my name” that is what he said and I nod my head as a response - not only as a response that I already recognized him but also as a response that he can already continue.

“First thing that I have noticed is that the entrance is a bit narrower compared to the other dungeons that we have raided so far which I believe is the reason why you have just chosen ten knights to accompany you in the subjugation. Second thing that I have noticed is that although it may only be a simple detail in the illustration but I suppose there are those so called crystals already growing at the entrance of the dungeon which actually signifies that it will not be long until the monsters inside that will go berserk and some may actually pass through the barrier that has been created by the mages of the magic tower. Third is that the skull image on the top of the entrance which I don’t know what the meaning is”

That is what he said and I controlled myself not to let out a smile because that is exactly what I am expecting him to say, however there is still one thing that he hadn’t noticed and I am sure that Theo already knows what it is because he has been with many expedition with my brother and parents and I am sure that he have already seen it with his own two eyes.

“Thanks, Lucas. Now, Theo I know that you want to say something. You may now speak” that is what I said and he automatically nod his head in response.

“First, I would like to say that I have noticed the same things as Knight Williams so I am just going to add one important information and another thing that he was not able to see for this group’s benefit as well. The skull that you can see on the entrance basically signifies that the dungeon is indeed dangerous for anyone to explore, we have already explored a lot of dungeons with such a trademark and we cannot deny the fact that we have indeed suffered minimal damages to our troops and if not for the duke, duchess and the young duke that damages could also worsen. There is one reason that there is a skull on that dungeon and that is the fact that we will be facing a final boss in that place so we have to be extra careful” that is what he said and I nod my head twice because he is correct with that information that he revealed.

Of course it is a given that he already knows those kinds of stuffs because again, he has been with my parents and with my brother for quite some time now, exploring dungeons and eliminating monsters. I bet that they have already encountered a few dungeons who have that skull pattern and who knows what kind of monsters they have encountered.

“And the second thing that I want to say is regarding the dungeon that Knight Williams may have not seen and that is the kind of monsters that we are going to encounter are already seen on the entrance of the dungeon. Those may seem like ordinary patterns but no - those are already a hint of what lies ahead and the thing is, Lady Scarlet was already able to realize it and that she choose us according to those monsters that we are about to encounter, for us to basically have the advantage” that is what he said which instantly made me smile.

Well, it is correct - a while ago when I was looking at the illustration that Helios sent I also recalled that it is the same dungeon that the Imperial Knights cannot clear in the game and that it took them more than two years because they could clear it and I have noticed two reasons why they always fail.

One is that Helios didn’t consider the fact that the entrance is narrower than other dungeons making it obvious that a big group is a big no-no, second thing is that they didn’t forsee that they will be encountering bosses because of the skull image on the entrance and lastly because of the fact that they didn’t able to realize that there are already hints around the entrance as well of the monsters that they are going to encounter.

And the thing is, those who have died exploring that dungeon in the game are the ones who have abilities that are bad against those monsters. If only Helios could have already realized it sooner then his knights wouldn’t have died that way. However, still it could have been entirely avoided if only Calyx had accepted his offer. Yet of course, it was really staged to be that way because the Elvoi family - specifically Scarlet Aubrielle and Calyx Shawn are really set to become the people that will make the lives of the characters harder and of course, simply for character development.

“Well, what the two have said are entirely correct. Those are indeed the things that I want you to realize by looking at the illustration. Now that you have the grasp on why I choose you and what are the things that we need to expect. I am now going to give a quick overview on the monsters that we are about to encounter and your training so that you can be prepared of what we’re going to do six days from now.” I preliminary said and all of them nod their heads at me, obviously a sign that they are completely ready of what I am about to say next.

Well they should be ready because I am not going to let them go into that place unprepared. Again, I cannot let anyone die because that is my promise to my brother and to my parents.
