Route 1: Flashbacks

**Scarlet Aubrielle**

***Continuation***

“NO! I don’t want to!” that is what the young Scarlet exclaimed. It is obvious that she doesn’t want to part ways with her brother and I guess it is also pretty much natural because of the fact that her brother has always been away due to the fact that he is studying at the academy. A school that is located at the center of the Ixtal Empire and it is a boarding school. She is only able to see her brother during holiday seasons, during her, her parents or even Calyx’s birthday. Other than that she really isn’t able to see her brother that much.

“But Scar, we need to train for our examination next week. I know I just came home and that I need to spend some time with you too because we haven’t seen each other for a while but I still have six days Scar. Can’t you wait first? Don’t worry we going to finish this early” that is what Calyx said trying to assure his little sister but instead of the young Scarlet being assured, her eyes suddenly got watery which is a sign that she is about to cry.

Calyx can’t help but heave a sigh because he doesn’t know what to do with his sister. Their parents are out today because they have to attend a meeting with the emperor of the empire.

“Maybe we should just bring her and let her watch how we train, Calyx” Helios suggested and in that moment, the Elvoi sibling turned their head towards his direction. Calyx has this shocked expression plastered on his face while Scarlet has this excited expression.

“But your highness it is dangerous for Sca-

Helios then cut him off.

“Well, just let some knight be by her side. That is better than just letting your sister cry because she misses you. Anyways, she is just going to watch us train not train with us in the first place. It is also good that she will be able to see how good her brother is” that is what Helios said and he even smiled at the young Scarlet. Scarlet then smiled widely then she pulled the hem of the clothes of her brother. She looked at him with those puppy pleading eyes and then Calyx let out a sigh and he nod his head as a sign that he agreed with the suggestion of the crown prince.

Calyx and Helios are already catching their breath - the two just finished the first round of their sparring session. The ten years old Scarlet Aubrielle is amazed with what she just witnessed, well if anyone would actually see her right now her eyes are really twinkling.

Well, I guess the original Scarlet really is into fighting and that fights amazes her. I also bet that she really adores her brother so much, well honestly it is quite obvious because in the whole sparring session of the two she didn’t stopped cheering for her brother. Calyx on the other hand enjoyed the cheers of his little sister and he was going all out - he was a lot more pumped than the usual which of course Helios noticed.

I saw how he smiled a couple of times and he even said to Calyx that he’d also want someone to cheer for him whenever he fights because he actually think that it feels good for someone to cheer for you.

Since the two’s sparring first session is already finished, the two decided that they should take a short break before proceeding to train once again. And so, now the two walked towards the smiling Scarlet.

“You did great brother! And of course, you too your highness!” that is what the young Scarlet exclaimed as she handed water to the two. Calyx and Helios smiled at her and of course, the grabbed the water that Scarlet handed.

The three had a conversation with each other until a few minutes later, a knight came and asked for Calyx’s presence and of course, since their parents are far away and Calyx is considered to be the master of the house and despite his young age, I know for a fact that he is already capable - I guess that it totally runs in the blood of this family.

Scarlet Aubrielle is destined to be the most powerful villainess ever recorded in history and not only that but her mind is also exceptional - she was programmed to be not the ordinary villainess that will just do anything to torment the female and male lead without thinking. While Calyx on the other hand is also exceptional - he was described in the story line to be the only one who is on par with the crown prince, Helios Detroit however he lost all rationality when of course, his sister was put into danger.

I kind of think right now that he has a sister complex. Although it was not really explicit in the game I do now think that it is the case.

“Scar, just stay here with his highness alright? I am just going to handle something, but don’t worry I’ll be back” that is what Calyx said and the young Scarlet already knows that her brother needs to handle something important immediately nod her head as a response.

Calyx then smiled, gave her a pat on the head then left.

Now, only the young Scarlet and the crown prince Helios is left. Helios entertained the young Scarlet by telling her stories about her brother in the academy - how a lot of people especially women adores her brother for being talented and also good looking. It lasted about a few minutes however just then, I heard the young Helios said something that made me frown.

“Lady Scarlet, come to think of it don’t you have any interest in magic?” that is what Helios said as he summoned fire on his right hand. Scarlet then looked at him and she responded,

“Well, I do want to learn magic because they all use it and our element is pretty! I would like to create pretty things with my magic!”

Helios then smiled with that answer and then he stood up and then he looked at Scarlet

“Alright, then if want to create pretty things with your magic then I am going to teach you the basics of being able to use your power” that he what he said and I saw how Scarlet’s eyes twinkled because of excitement.

And just right after that, Helios started instruction the young Scarlet on what to do and how she should do it. Well, he said that since Scarlet is still not able to activate her mana then she should first get to know it and activate it by herself. And right now, I can see Scarlet with her eyes closed and trying to do what Helios instructed her to do.

I can also hear and see that Helios is guiding her thoroughly and complimenting her that just like her brother she is easily able to stabilize her mana and however two minutes after he said that, suddenly the body of Scarlet starting from her feet started to turn into ice and at that very moment something is starting to form from behind her - the energy that she is releasing started to form that image and when it was formed, Helios was literally taken a back - well, not only him but also me who is just seeing these images.

Helios started to fix things - to wake up Scarlet because it seems like she is already unconscious and not to mention that half of her body is already frozen and for some reason the image that was formed from behind Scarlet is slowly being materialized and just then, Calyx appeared and he has this worried expression plastered on his face, he then drew his sword and suddenly these circles has some sort of symbol which is called magic circles appeared from behind him and when I say circles there are really a lot of them.


And just then I just saw that all of the servants are doing their best in order to contain Scarlet’s powers because obviously she is already about to go berserk. I also noticed that Calyx is already getting exhausted however just after a few minutes the duke and duchess - our parents came and in that moment, worry was evident on their faces however even if that is the case the two immediately went to the middle and did their part in order to save Scarlet from her powers

It took them about less than an hour before they were able to contain Scarlet and right now, the young Scarlet is unconscious and immediately the duke and the duchess ordered every servant to prepare while on the other hand, Calyx went to his highness and said,

“I’m sorry your highness but I won’t be able to accompany you, my sister needs me and I hope that you’ll find your way out of the mansion and have a safe journey back to the palace” that is what Calyx said before following his parents and right at that moment- Helios Detroit was left alone in the middle of the training field still in state of shock because of what happpened.

And right at that moment the flashbacks ended and I looked at Elisha who still has this worried expression plastered on her face. Now, I understand where she is coming from. It is evident that since childhood, Elisha and Scarlet are already friends - close friends on top of that and of course what happened to Scarlet during that time when Helios tried to teach her how to activate her mana and use magic really traumatized her. I bet that she cried a lot that time thinking especially with the possibility that her friend will no longer open her eyes.

However, that was already years ago, Scarlet or rather I can already control my mana, although it is not that much as what the Scarlet in the game can do, there is no denying the fact that what happened nine years ago will no longer happen again. Not to mention that I need to be close to Helios because of the things that I must do. He is the first male lead that I need to befriend in order to ensure that he will not kill me when the time comes that he’ll fell in love with the female lead.

“Elisha, don’t worry - everything is all in the past and of course, his highness didn’t mean what happened then so it is not his fault. It was no one’s fault and all of us are mature now, I can even use magic freely so it’s fine Elisha” that is what I said, obviously reassuring her that nothing is going to happen to me and that what happened in the past will not happen again.

Elisha then let out a sigh and she smiled at me although her eyes is still full of worry.

“If that is what you want my lady and always remember that I am here to protect you” that is what she said and I nod my head as I smiled at her.

I know that she will say that because it is the same words that she said in the game to Scarlet when Scarlet had already decided to go with war with the chosen male lead because that male lead destroyed everything that is dear to her.

“I know Elisha, now let’s go I bet that my brother is already waiting for me” I said with a smile plastered on my face and I continued walking to head to the living room where my brother and Helios are.

Well, isn’t this kind of nostalgic?
