Route 1: The Story of the Emperor 5.0

The time has finally arrived, the time where we are going to commence the plan that we made a while ago. And right now we are already on our way towards the house located at the other end of the forest where Cain fought the black dragon a few days ago.

Well, the three of us, Aesir, Alarick and me could easily teleport to that place but since Cain is with us so, technically I am not able to do that. Anyways, it is actually a good thing because I am able to stretch my whole body so that I am already quite heated to kill a lot of monsters.

Our position is like this, Aesir and Alarick are both up front while Cain and I are behind them. The two are in charge of keeping the path in check and of course, since it is already night time monsters are already walking around and we already encountered a few but the two immediately took care of it before the annoying monsters could even reach a meter of distance away from us.

"So, they too are good at fighting" - Cain said in a low voice which made me nod my head. I guess he is quite surprised to know that fact, well of course, it is hard to find 'servants' who are good at fighting and taking care of their master but seriously Aesir and Alarick are not just mere servants that are good at fighting. If he only knew that the two are the guardians of the spirit realm then he maybe he is a lot more shocked to know that I am able to form a contract with two of the highest being of the spirit realm.

Well, maybe the thing that also surprised him is that the two are only using daggers as a weapon. And a dagger is just like the size of a knife.

"You found quite reliable companions, Lady Mila" - he added to what he said a while ago and I can't help but to let out a sly smile. Well, indeed Aesir and Alarick are reliable-- wait except for Alarick because he is often lazy to do anything but to annoyed to do nothing. But the most common trait of Alarick is that he is just too lazy to even move. Just for example, a while ago. Like, he could have just said out loud or even through mind link to make me remember that he has a spell that can hide the attractive smell of Annisa Kaldrof to monsters.

Instead he stayed quiet, if I hadn't remembered that fact that in the end he would not really do anything. The reason why he stayed quiet? Because he thinks that a human being does not deserve to receive his divine protection, not to mention that originally we are not to participate in the expedition to save the young lady. But what more could we do? I am not the type of person to back down from a request, and this is going to be an easy plus points to gain the trust of Azekien Kaldrof, that serious and expressionless guild master.

"Mila, there is something wrong in this part of the forest" - Aesir suddenly said through telepathy which made me stop from my tracks and I even put my hand in front of Cain to actually make him stop from moving. I closed my eyes and I started to feel the environment, and in just two seconds I felt that extreme presence not far from our position, actually that presence is heading towards our direction.

Damn, why did I just noticed this now? The f-ck. I am so engrossed in my own thoughts that I wasn't really able to focus my senses on the environment.

"We also just felt it just now Mila. It seems that whatever that monster is, it can really hide its presence well. " - Alarick added to what just Aesir had said and I immediately clicked my tongue. What the f-ck weird monsters really keep showing around these days and this is that person's fault f-ck. We should really find whoever is doing all these shits as soon as possible.

"What's going on?" - Cain suddenly asked which made me once again clicked my tongue. F-ck we cannot be delayed to our destination because we are surely going to encounter the knights if that happens.

"Aesir, Alarick I am going to leave that thing to you. Finish it as fast as you can and let's just meet at the house. " - I said and I can see in my peripheral vision how Cain frowned.

"Let's go, they will handle everything here, we should continue walking as fast as we could so that we could reach the house at the exact time" - I said and he was actually quite confused of what I am talking about. Shit! Did he not felt that extreme presence coming towards our direction? For f-cking f-cks sake, the presence is so strong and I could even already feel the miasma substance getting thick around us.

Instead of explaining to him what is going on, I immediately grabbed his hand and I started running while pulling him.

"What is going on?!" - he exclaimed while the two of us are running.

"Did you not feel it? Damn the miasma is slowly getting thick and that presence is not of an ordinary monster!" - I exclaimed while my eyes are kept in front of me. And just then the ground begun to shake which made the two of us stop and when we both turned around to look at what the heck is that monster that has an undeniable extreme dark aura, I can't help but to let out a curse and I also saw how shocked Cain was.

Because the monster is damn f-cking huge, it has a body just like of a ball and in that ball like body of the monster we can see a few heads of human being which obviously it just devoured.

"Damn we should help--

"They can handle it" - I cut him off and I even grab his hand to stop him from charging back towards Aesir and Alarick. Although the monster is obviously strong, Aesir and Alarick could perfectly handle it. Not to mention that I could clearly see from this position although we are already quite far from them that the two are grinning from ear to ear.

F-ck they are excited.

"We should go fetch the young lady. Don't worry they will be fine, they will not die" - I reassured him and before he could even argue with me I immediately pulled him once again and the both of us continued running. I need to keep a hold to him to ensure that he will not turn around and go back to help Aesir and Alarick with eliminating whatever monster that is.

"Alarick, Aesir. I am allowing you to use your full potential in fighting that shitty bastard. End it as fast as you can and if it has something that we could use don't forget to grab it. " - I said to them through telepathy and they synchronously replied

"Roger"

I bet the two are really damn so happy that they could kill such a new monster. It has been a few years anyways since they are able to fight and also this is the first time that I even allowed them to use their full potential in a fight. By full potential is that they are free to use whatever magic they like and they are able to transform into their original forms. And they already know what to do anyways to not be detected by the magic tower, and that is of course, to create a barrier surrounding them.

We continued running and based from the path we are already nearing the house where the lady resides. However, before I could even take another step forward, swarm of goblins just appeared in front of us, as if they are waiting. I guess it is only natural because I am a woman and goblins can immediately smell if there is a lady in the group, their targets are obviously ladies because of their lust towards them. What do they do with males? Well, they usually kill and eat their remains.

Tsk. We cannot be delayed any further and there is no assurance that there are no monsters up ahead..

"You can go now, Cain." - I said as I let go of his arm. He was quite hesitant but I showed him a grin, an evil yet excited grin.

"I can perfectly handle these bastards. Just like you have said I have been hiding my abilities so I am going to use it now. These f-cking goblins are just an easy task" - I reassured him and he can see in his eyes that he is quite hesitating whether or not he'll leave but although he is quite hesitant he still nod his head and he jump up to a tree and he I saw him jump from another.

And when he is already quite far away I return my gaze towards the goblins who are grinning from ear to ear as if they knew that they already have the advantage.

"Domain activation" - I whispered and as if on cue a magic circle appeared right above us and a barrier was instantly formed. A barrier that could prevent the magic tower from detecting the magic that I am about to use.

I draw my sword and I pointed it towards them.

"Don't be so overconfident bastards" - I said with a devilish grin on my face "Enchant Lumiere" - I whispered and automatically my whole body as well as my sword glowed with golden light and I saw how the goblins grin slowly disappeared and the just have frustrated look on their faces, well I guess they already know that are about to have a painful death.
