Route 1: THE DREAMS
**Scarlett Aubrielle**
What was that dream? Wait - or is it really a dream in the first place?
I cannot help but to let out a sigh as I massage my forehead. It has already been quite some time since I woke up and the head maid already brought me my dinner and clothes that I could change on. However, I still cannot get over what I have dreamt. I then laid down on my bed and closed my eyes, in fact I am just planning to close it for a while however for some reason I suddenly lost my consciousness.
*Dream*
Scarlett Mila
"Hello there Dark Dragon" - I said with still a wide grin plastered on my face. I can't help but to admire his size and the magic he has inside his body. That Duke really did took care of this dragon too well, not to mention there are no signs of being wounded on his body so meaning the Duke did not use force on him I have a hunch that he actually abducted this guy when he was still young.
Dark Dragons, just like any celestial one are able to mate and hatch eggs. My guess is that the Duke found an egg and he was expecting that it would be a celestial one which will help him gain power and control over the empire, but he was shocked to know that it was not the dragon he expects. Anyway, he may have thought that instead of killing the poor hatchling why not take care of it since it is not a secret that monsters are the source of magic stones and knowing that he just got a dragon then he is already quite sure sure that the magic stones he will soon harvest will be of high quality that he will be able to sell for a high price.
"Grrr" - the dragon snarled at me which made me chuckle. So although he was basically taken care of by a human being, he is still quite cautious . Let's see if I can talk to this guy.
"You are not planning on talking to him Mila, right?" - Aesir said beside me, which immediately made me turn my head and look at her with a grin still plastered on my face. "Argh I really can't believe that you are going to talk to this beast!" - She exclaimed which made me let out a chuckle. Well in the hierarchy of spirits or familiars, although Alarick and Aesir are considered to be guardians and they govern the spirits and make sure that they are well-grounded, dragons are still stubborn mythical beings. These are the creature that Alarick and Aesir both despise because of the headache and troubles they give to them.
"What? I am just going to talk to him I am not going to make him a familiar " - I replied and she just heave a deep sigh
"Tsk" - Alarick reacted through telepathy. How did he know when I am did not informed in through telepathy in the first place? It is simple because our link is open, I am like a transmitter, well I am more comparable to that of a cell phone which people need to communicate with others in my past life even if they are too far away. So in other words, Alarick can see what I see, hear what I hear and know what the things that I say.
And obviously, just like Aesir he too is not that happy knowing that there is a dragon inside this cave and the fact that I am actually thinking of having a conversation with it. Well, I just need to ask him a few questions anyway so, this will definitely be quick.
I turn back my gaze to the mighty dark dragon in front of me.
"Sprechen" - I said and as if on cue a dark line came out of my hands and that thing swiftly made its way towards the dragon who is imprisoned inside a huge cage embedded with sealing magic. The magic I released entered the cage without any difficulty, it went towards the dragon's neck and in just a split second the magic I released is already binding his neck.
He let out a loud growl because of it he even started to anxiously move around the cage. The reason for that is because the magic I just embedded to his neck is going to force him to speak and not to mention that it is really quite painful because of course a foreign magic component enters his body.
"HOW DARE YOU!" - he growled again but unlike a while ago I can now understand his growl.
"Well, I just want to talk to you about something" - I said and I almost laughed when I saw his shock reaction. I guess he can't believe that I can now understand him completely. Well, there is no limitation if you know both light and dark magic. Now let us get some useful information from this dragon.
| The Next Day |
"Are you sure that you are not planning on telling the Duke Franceschi the truth about that dragon?" - Aesir asked which made me stop from writing the letter containing fake information about the cave we explored yesterday.
Well, Aesir said it already. Yes we did encountered a dragon inside that cave, a dangerous dark dragon that could wipe out half of the empire if it will go on a rampage but just like what Aesir had already said I am not planning to tell that fact to the Duke of Franceschi.
I wrote a letter saying that I was not able to go inside the cave because there are signs that it has been inhabited by monsters, not to mention that the miasma around the place is quite strong which made me faint and that my servants need to carry me back to our house.
Clearly all of the things that I wrote in this letter are all fake. Why is that? Because I don't want to intervene with what is destined to happen.
"Tsk I was expecting to kill that bastard" - Alarick commented which made me let out a chuckle. He is really quite pissed off because he kinda expected that we are going to fight and kill that dark dragon, but as we leave the cave I informed the two that we are not going to kill anything that resides in that cave however they will continue to monitor the cave and especially the movement of the monsters around that place.
Why? It is actually very simple because that dragon will be the reason why Cain will go stronger and if I will go ahead and kill that dragon then Cain that is supposed to awaken his powers months from now will be no more. And also I don't really want to change his fate in this world too much, what is bound to happen should happen.
Anyway I am not going to lose anything, I still actually gained something. And what is that? Well, let's say that I just landed a deal with that beast. A deal that is favorable to me and both Alarick and Aesir are clueless about what deal I just had with that dragon.
Why? Simple because I blocked the two from my and that dragon's mind and we talked through telepathy. Well, because of that deal I think that my life in this town will be a lot more interesting than I expect it to be. Not to mention that the deal is going to help me in my future plans.
