“Don’t worry too much, they are safe.” – I said and he suddenly heave a deep sigh which his seatmate, Cain clearly heard. Even Alarick and Aesir moved their eyes to look at Kenzo. I already told him to keep his expressions low and here he is sighing suddenly.

Anyways, I cannot do anything about that anymore and I know Cain will not give that much of an attention towards Kenzo.

The reason for that is simple, Cain is still wary of Kenzo’s presence. I am about to close my eyes once again since I am already done explaining to him the gist of it all and I think he have fully understood it however he suddenly spoke again inside my head, which I admit that piques my interest.

“I am once the supposed to be successor to the tribe, however I turned out to be like this, will they be afraid of me? Will they still accept me?”

First is I am not expecting that he will reveal his past already, I am quite shocked that he is the supposed to f-cking rule the tribe, but of course the moment he turned into a dark elf he totally lost that title and he was considered as dead of course by his tribesmen. Well, and I bet that they already have a new candidate to be a successor, or worst a new successor. However, if that’s the case then whoever that ruler is totally sucks. He let his tribesmen be captured by human beings and he just f-cking let them be sold off to become slaves or weapons when war breaks out.

If I am the ruler, I would instantly do something about that. I will most probably plan something in order to save the hybrids who are captured. Or more likely I would have monitored and guarded every hybrid to ensure their safety, for example increase the defense mechanism. But heck, the ruler of the tribe did not do anything.

And more likely, it is not the ruler of the tribe who asked for Azekien’s help with case of the hybrids being sold off because if it is the ruler of the tribe who requested to do that mission, Azekien could have told us that fact. Most probably it is just an information given by a spy of the guild.

The guild has lots of spies scattered around and these spies directly reports to Azekien, if they see something is off, they will immediately send a message to inform the guild master. How did I know this? Simple because I encountered one not long ago and just the usual, I went inside his memories and I found out that Azekien, the guild master wants to know my whereabouts, how do I actually spend my day and who do I usually talk to.

Of course, after I found that out, I erased the memory of the spy that I captured and I implanted new memories and I also manipulated what he is going to say to the guild master. Am I evil? Of course, I am, all human beings are inherently evil, there is no such thing as a person who has no desires or has not did something wrong in his or her life.

I actually understand where he is coming from, of course he would definitely worry about those things. His tribesmen will more likely not recognize him, however recognizing him is also not that too impossible because Alarick and Aesir was able to do so. Second of course, his tribesmen will instantly fear him when they see him with us. It is only natural because I believe hybrids instinct to avoid what will endanger them is too strong and naturally, they will see him as a threat because just like what Cain said, hybrids who turned into monsters lost all their memories, rationality and even emotions. The hybrids who turned into monsters are driven by anger and pain and their instinct is to kill and satisfy their hunger to see blood.

“I am not going to give you false hopes that they will indeed accept you or not fear you when they see you later. But here’s the thing,

Whatever will happen later, don’t take it to the heart. Remember that you are not part of that tribe anymore, you are part of us now and whether or not they will remember, accept or not fear you, you still have us”

I replied to him and I can’t help but to close my eyes and avoid his gaze. Why? Because he is looking at me like he was surprised with what I just said. Tsk I too am surprised of myself on why the heck did I just say such thing.

I am not used in saying those kinds of words; however, I am not feeling cringy or whatsoever, I am feeling normal. Like I just said what is needed to be said. Like what the f-ck I am a supposed to be a villainess, merciless, evil and does not really give a damn with what anyone is feeling yet I am saying those crazy shit comforting words.

“And before I forget, whoever replaced you sucks and I am going to make sure that he is going to be removed from that position of his. Do not ask how I am to do that because it is actually simple, especially if I have the guardians with me” – I added to what I said and after that I completely blocked my mind so that he cannot reply anymore to what I just said. Because if he does, our conversation will continue and I will just feel annoyed of myself not kicking him out of my mind when I got the chance.

And not to mention talking using mind link tires me out. I am not a fan of talking to much verbally what more talking through mind link? Damn. I think this is the only one the I don’t like having the power to allow anyone to be able to communicate with me through mind link, because that gives me power to talk to them in such method and of course that will continue until I decide to kick them out or block them.

Just like what I always do with Alarick and Aesir, for them to not snoop around my thoughts too much and for them to not ask too much questions because I hate answering too many of such, I always block them out. Well, they know that I am doing that because I hate it when Alarick asks too many questions and then he will start complaining that he got nothing to do but complain again when he got something to do.

Anyway, I should just shut up and rest until we reach our destination.

“Lady Mila” – I heard Aesir called out to me which instantly made me open my eyes and look at her. I gave her the ‘what’s the matter look’

“We are almost there” – She said and I immediately stretched my arms and I wore my mask again. Alarick and Aesir did the same.

“Cain, put on your mask we are almost there” – I said and Cain nod his head and followed what I just said. Well, it is because he does not exactly know where they teleported the hybrids. Only the three of us know because it was a last-minute change in our plan and Cain trusted me to take care of things.

Well, of course he trusts me, I was able to help him be able to gain foundation in his duchy and soon he will surely get the first thing that is needed for him to be able to take down the emperor. What is that? Simple, the support of a few yet powerful people across and outside of the empire.

“Alarick, I think we have an extra mask there, give it to Kenzo.” – I said and Alarick immediately followed what I ordered. He grabbed a mask from a bag and he instantly handed it to Kenzo.

The mask color is white with touch of red droplets that looks like blood. This is only my opinion but that mask suits him because he is going to be a pure soul that is soon going be tainted with blood of bastards and monsters.

In just a few more minutes the carriage that we are riding stopped and I looked outside the window and I already saw the landmark that we have finally reached our destination. Alarick immediately opened the door of the carriage and one by one they got out of it. Of course, the usual I am the last one to get out of the carriage and again Cain held out his hand to help me get out.

When my feet touched the ground, I immediately looked around with just using my eyes. I also enhanced my senses and I cannot help but to grin when I felt something not that far from our position.

“Alarick, Aesir you know what to do” – I said and the two nod their heads and in just a blink of an eye they have disappeared from our sight. I don’t really have to be worried about that because Cain already saw the two do that kind of stunt when we are fighting those monsters in the forest.

“Let’s go meet the guys” – I said and I started walking towards the door. I put inside the key that the landlady gave us and when I heard it clicked, I put my hand on the knob and I slowly turned it.

Darkness greeted me and I entered the house, the two followed me and when the two are already inside. I instantly closed the door, snapped my fingers so that a barrier will surround the entire property.

“Illuminate” – I whispered and as if on cue all of the lights turned on synchronously and when the darkness finally faded, we finally saw the hybrids that we are able to save from the being enslaved by greedy annoying human beings.
