Route 1: THE DREAM 3.0

After I received the telepathic message from Aesir, I immediately changed my clothes. I just wore black pants, shirt and boots for me to be able to move freely. And of course, wearing a fancy dress is not suitable to the place where I am going and also such outfit will most probably hinder. Also, what I am wearing as of the moment is a very comfortable because I also wear such outfits in my past life. I really prefer pants or shorts rather than skirts or dresses.

I also ponytailed my hair and I even put on a mask. After getting ready, I immediately made my way towards the basement of the house and I used my teleportation magic and in just a blink of an eye, I am already on the same spot where Aesir is and just after a minute, Alarick arrived as well.

I guess he is already done with his job of putting magical barriers around the place. The reason for the magical barrier is first to prevent the magic tower from detecting my magical abilities because most probably I will be using both light and dark magic when things get tough around this place since the sun is almost setting, second reason is that so that the damage will only be contained in this part of the forest, third is to prevent the spreading of miasma that could affect the people who lives in the town, fourth is so that the dragon will never have the chance to escape. Although it is clearly impossible for him to escape, still there is a possibility that he will and I just really need to be cautious about every single thing. Fourth reason is that so that for Cain's sake, well not that I care for what will happen to him but still because he is part of the game already then might as well help him easily control his powers.

I remembered a while ago when I am changing clothes that in the game that one of the content creators ensured that the process of the awakening of Cain's is not that easy. First thing she did was to ensure that Cain was heavily wounded before the awakening will be triggered, second is that she also made sure that he will experience tremendous pain from his body due to the awakening and lastly there will be a magic surge. That magic surge will immediately be detected by the magic tower and when the mages came by the forest to check what is going on they will see Cain lying on the ground with brunt yet healing body.

And when the mages checked his condition they have affirmed that Cain is a rare and powerful mage that could wield the four elements of magic and of course because of this they have decided to make Cain a Duke.

I don't know why I only remembered this information a while ago. It is really weird because I am sure that I really should have known this since I made sure to skim through the details of the game before it has been launched. Not to mention that I am not a very forgetful person in my past life or even now in this life.

Not only that but I often dream about something unusual, I know it is a scenario from my previous life but the moment I wake up, I immediately forget what really happened in that dream. Anyway, I'll figure it out soon, I just need to focus my attention to what is about to happen tonight.

I was about to ask Aesir the exact location of Cain, but just then I already saw him. He is wearing an attire that of a mercenary and he has two swords on his waist. I can't help but to let out a grin, although it is not really visible because I am wearing a mask.

Like seriously does he really expect that he will beat the dragon inside the cave and the other monsters by just using two swords? Oh well, he will awaken his powers anyway so why the fuss.

"Seriously, why are you so interested in that man, Mila?" -Alarick suddenly asked which made me turn my gaze at him. I shove my mask on the side for my face to be slightly visible to my two familiars.

"Do I really look like I am interested?" - I asked back and the two looked at me like they are surprised that I am going to state such question. Like seriously, I am not interested-- I just want to see how he awaken his powers-- wait if that's the case then indeed I am really interested -- okay I am interested but I am not that interested. Tsk anyway, I am not planning to telling these two the fact that I am indeed slightly interested because surely they will make fun of me.

"I just want to see a good fight that's all. You know that if I am to fight that dragon, or if you two do and I'll just watch from the side there is no thrill because I already know that you are going to win. That dragon will surely have no chance of winning." - I added and I immediately fixed my mask to hide my face and I returned my gaze to Cain who is now about to enter the cave. I saw the miasma surrounded him, he grab his sword, he raise it in the air and he slashed the miasma trying to surround him which made the miasma disappear.

My gaze shifted to his sword and once again I can't help but to grin because his sword has a magic stone embedded to it. Well, I guess he has been keeping that sword for a while now, away from the eyes of the public and especially the nobility, I know this because I've already seen his sword when we first met and even during the ball we've attended together and there has been no magic stone embedded to it, and I did not even felt any magic on it.

"You are definitely interested in what he will do, Mila"- I heard Aesir said in a matter of fact tone and I cannot help but to chuckle subconsciously. I just focused my attention at Cain who is not stepping inside the Cave and just after a few minutes, I can no longer see his figure without using my enhanced eyesight.

"Let's go inside now" - I said and I was about to jump down from the tree where we are staying but I was halted when I suddenly heard a loud explosion and when I turn back my gaze towards the cave I can't help but to let out a chuckle.

Damn I guess he is already quite impatient and he wants to proceed to the main course already. Oh well, he could have still took it easy with the lesser monsters inside the cave, since those monsters are already no match for him.

Oh well, now I really can't want to see how the mighty black dragon and the hero will fight. Are they going to destroy the cave? Are they going to burn down this part of the forest? Whatever it is I am really damn f-cking excited to see what is about to happen.
